This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. Access to water and solar power on site. There are 2 domes available for up to 6 guests, with each dome including its own bathroom. Each dome has a queen bed and a single. There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave & cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ. There are two hammocks and outdoor lounges to spend some time enjoying the view and time together. For those looking for a bit of adventure there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Local attractions include: Whiann Whiann Falls- swimming hole- (5 minutes) Nightcap National Park, including spectacular Minyon Falls (30 minutes) Rocky Creek Dam, which has walks and a platypus trail (10 minutes) Eltham Hotel (15 minutes) The Channon Tavern and monthly markets (10 minutes) Bangalow Markets (20 minutes) Important information: Linen not provided. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this. This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water. Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler. Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road. You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.

The property is located just 5 minutes drive to the town of Nimbin, The perfect place to rest a while, to relax, rejuvenate and let Mother Nature work her charms. Camp amongst the trees, enjoying the dappled sunlight. Go for a walk along the creek and splash around. Our campsite offers good access for all types of vehicles. We area dog friendly. There is access to a basic pit toilet. The basic shed and camp kitchen area offers protection from the elements with access to power, a kettle and gas BBQ. Prepare your meals and eat in comfort. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place.

A property with amazing river access a history of great fishing and gold panning. The steep terrain adjacent the river lends itself to some fantastic scenery, the perfect place to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet. Grab a tube and float down the river rapids, or just relax in camp listening to the sounds of nature. We have an abundance of bird life and wild cattle roaming the property, theres so much to see and enjoy With a small number of sites on the property you're sure to feel like the only ones in the world. Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD. AWD and rear wheel drive vehicles are fine, though good idea to check with us FWD vehicles are NOT permitted. Good ground clearance is required

Weekend Trip to The Meadow -Byron Hinterlands Domes

We had a really enjoyable stay overall. The domes were peaceful, unique and a great place to switch off and spend quality time with the family. The setting is beautiful and Jane was a very kind and responsive host throughout our stay. On our first night we did lose power, but Jane was extremely helpful and guided us thoroughly over the phone while her husband talked us through resetting the inverter. We were able to get the power back up and running pretty quickly, which we really appreciated. It showed great care and support from the hosts. One small piece of feedback was around the fire pit area. When we arrived there was quite a bit of weed overgrowth around the space. We actually took it upon ourselves to clear it out to make the area cleaner and safer, especially after a brown snake passed through the area on our first night while we were sitting around the fire pit. Being in nature you expect wildlife, but keeping that area clear would definitely make it feel safer and more comfortable for guests. That said, Jane handled the feedback with genuine care and professionalism and even offered a goodwill refund, which was a very thoughtful gesture and not expected at all. Her hospitality and communication were greatly appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily return again in the future. A great spot for families wanting a peaceful nature escape with their kids 🌿🔥

Such a lovely spot, well kept and clean site! No shops closeby so bring enough food and drinks! Will be returning :). Stayed in luxury swag which was wonderful but it does get very hot during the day in summer months even with air con on so be mindful of this. Very comfy beds!

Loved the “luxury swag” vibe at Ballina Beach Nature Resort! We stayed after a long road trip and it was exactly what we needed — minimalist, functional, yet cozy and comfortable with all the creature comforts. The amenities were spotless and well maintained. The water park was a big hit with my son, and having the beach just a short walk away made it even better. A perfect mix of nature, comfort, and family-friendly fun. Highly recommend! 🌊✨

Weekend Trip to The Meadow -Byron Hinterlands Domes

We had a great time glamping in this dome, despite the weather being pretty average. The dome is very spacious, so we did not feel cramped or boxed in like we might have hiding out from the rain in a regular size glamping tent. On the down side there was not even a rug inside, and the outside mat was drenched, so we had to use our own towels on the floor to dry our feet coming inside. The rain does get in a bit, which is probably why there is there is just a bare concrete floor. The skylight is a cool feature but unfortunately you can barely see through it and the panoramic window is also made of plastic, so it does hinder the views a bit, maybe more in rainy weather. Still there is plenty of space, (a lot more than our rooftop tent!) and you have it all to yourself, so we can't really complain.

Surrounded by nature, peaceful and perfect for truly disconnecting and recharging. Chris welcomed my husband and me so warmly. He is incredibly friendly, kind, and went above and beyond to explain everything about the property with great care and attention. We felt very comfortable and well looked after from the moment we arrived. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back again. It’s the perfect place to rest, relax, and forget about everyday worries. Highly recommended!

As a solo camper, I felt very comfortable and safe on Christina's land. The cabin was perfect for a tranquil getaway, the babbling creek a morning and evening joy, and the undercover kitchen set up just superb. Christina was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend her camp to anyone.

Chris was so welcoming, he had everything we needed and the glamping tents were so cute. He had lots of facilities that had we been able to stay longer we totally would have taken advantage of. My only thing to note is that the road out to this site can be a little rough so if you don’t have a 4WD just be warned. Otherwise the site itself is marvellous and Chris is a very responsive and helpful host.

Tubing down the rapids further up the river is a must during any stay at Eagle Ridge. Have recommended to friends and will definitely be back.
