We highly recommend hiking to the top of the property, where the views are fantastic of the Barrington tops and surrounds. The Area offers a number of country towns to visit and get supplies at with the closest (Gresford) being 15mins from the farm and the next and biggest in the area (Dungog) being 20mins. Other stand out towns in the area worth visit are Patterson, Gloucester, Morpeth and of course for the Hunter wine region which door to door to Pokolbin from here it is 1 hour. If you are adventurous then you might like to check out the Barrington tops of which we are at our doorstep.

Exactly as advertised and described. Secluded getaway with beautiful views. Hot showers almost instantly and the toilet had zero smell. Close to the next town for a pub dinner and there was all the wildlife you could expect in the bush which was cool but be mindful if you go for a walk on hot days. Everything you needed for your stay was available.

Great trip. Kids loves the horses and farm animals. Nice and quiet at night. Villa and camp toilets could do with slightly better signage as people kept trying to enter our villa over the weekend looking for the toilets! But otherwise a great stay.

What an incredible and unique hipcamp! I'd never heard of a wood fired hot tub until I stayed at Cedar Valley Farm. It was so fun getting it going and soaking in it. It takes a while to get hot but once it does it's unlike anything you've experienced before. The caravan itself is cost inside with a very comfortable bed and nice pillows. The table and chairs collapse easily to form a bed that sleeps one big kid or two small ones head to toe. There is a hot shower on site with plenty of water. We had long hot showers without any issue. The toilet is a natural drop toilet that doesn't rely on water and chemicals. We had no issues using it and didn't think it smelled at all. The best part about Cedar Valley was the projector and outdoor movie cinema screen. This is such a cool feature and it will create a memory you'll have forever. Just make sure you rug up and use lots of bug spray. The place is fenced for dogs and super safe. There is an on site water bowl for pets and poop scoop. So you don't have to worry about a thing. The nearest pub is 14 mins away so if you want a feed it's super close and easy. The host was very welcoming and responsive. I highly recommend Cedar Valley Farm.

Quaint little room, comfy deep sleep and cute animals about! Thoughtfully equipped with a fridge, microwave, bottled water and milk in the fridge for coffee/tea!

Outstanding !! A beautiful outlook, clean and with excellent facilities. One word of advice for anyone wanting to use the spa. Dont wait too long before getting in or it will be too hot, it heats more efficiently than you might think. Highly recommended especially for couples.

Great site, we had the whole place to ourselves including the shared kitchen area and fire place. The host is very nice and makes sure you have everything you need. Multiple sites in the field but they are fairly far away from each other. Dogs loved it!

The Retro Caravan was such a fun getaway especially with weather that was less than perfect! We brought our two doggo's with us and it was hard to tell who enjoyed themselves more! Beautiful scenery up on a hill with the morning fog and evening sunsets, the interior of the caravan was super cosy and well serviced with a warm shower, loo and fire heated spa! In the wet weather a 4wd was required to get up to the caravan but i imagine it would not be as tricky in better weather - best to ask Mitch though before you arrive. Mitch was a great host, so helpful and a very reliable communicator. Location of the van close enough to Dungog for pies and a stroll around town or the base of Barrington Tops - we had a stop at Ladies Well which was flowing and so serene.

Weekend Trip to Lovedale Farm Stay & Horseriding

We brought the kids for a Farm stay experience and they loved it! We stayed in the ‘Blue Wren’ villa for the long weekend and it had everything we needed for 2 small children.. Margaret, Russell and April were very kind and welcoming. It’s a beautiful place to stay and the kids loved feeding the animals, the tractor ride, pony ride & peddle carts. Great location, easy drive to the wineries etc.

5 nights at Myall View Hideaway

A lovely secluded cabin a few minutes walk from local amenities and pub. Great location to base yourself when visiting the area. Cabin was well equipped, as others have mentioned the outside shower is excellent and the fire pit was great for the cooler evenings.
