Our little piece of paradise is 50 acres of paddock and bushland set in the Glass House Mountains, halfway between Brisbane and Noosa. Property is close to lots of walking tracks and mountains to hike in the area and we are only 5ish mins drive from the town centres of Glass House Mountains and Beerwah. We are surrounded by pineapple farms and honest boxes of limes, pineapples and avocados are spotted along the nearby streets. Our little hobby farm is perfect for a city break! Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and wallabies passing through. There is an old macadamia orchid and we are currently in the process of building a new chicken coop, so will hopefully have hens and eggs soon! Numerous damns and creeks run through the property but they have not been cleared of weeds for swimming. Clyde is our resident horse who will likely come visit you at your campsite. He is the sweetest boy and loves nothing more than a carrot and a gentle pat. He is an old boy now so not suited for riding but is a wonderful companion! There are no facilities here so all campers will need to be self sufficient with a camping toilet. It is preferred that campers bring their own water but bore water can be supplied if you run out (not the ideal for drinking). I live in the main house so am available for any emergencies but will give you your privacy! Dogs are welcome as long as they do not chase off the wildlife and are calm around the horse. I have a dog at the house so must also be dog friendly or else kept on lead! Campfires are allowed in designated fire pit dependant on fire rating.

They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.

Cedarton is a small farm on 100 acres, we have cows, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep and horses. We have wild deer, wallabies and kangaroos that come in the mornings and afternoons. If the kids like to get involved, I can take them around in the morning to feed the animals, we have around 30 head of cattle, calves, 2 horses, 2 goats, one pet sheep, chickens and ducks. We have a cow called Cutie Pie, she loves a cuddle. Happy to spend time with the kids to show them the jobs we do daily. Parents can join in or sit back and relax. Takes about 1 hour in the morning. If it's school holidays, we build scarecrow's, plant sunflowers or other crops together. Wash rescue horses or any other job on the farm. Kids love collecting the eggs and cooking them up for their breakfast. We also have a pool at the farmhouse which campers can use between 9am - 11.30am daily. If you like hiking there's a couple you can do, one that takes around 30 mins and one that takes 2 hours. Plenty of space to play cricket, football or ride push bikes. If you like fishing there's creeks nearby as well. Each camp site will have wood for fires, if you require more you can buy some on site for $20 a bag. Please don't bring wood in because of biosecurity and fire ants. Cedarton Farm is also on Facebook. We are close to Australia Zoo, Big Kart track at Beerwah, Maleny Dairies, Kondalilla falls, Gardener waterfalls, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. There's a cheese factory, chocolate factory and wineries in Maleny. Fantastic restaurants in Montville. We are also 10 mins from Woodford Folk Festival. We are off grid only for campers, campervans and caravans we have no amenities at this current time. How ever if you want a porta loo Dinkem Dunnies are great and deliver porta loos. Roughly costs $250 to hire. 4x4 if towing because of dirt driveway and paddocks. Pet friendly however we do ask that no pets chase animals.

This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. Wonderful weekend away, highly recommend. Jenna was a fantastic host, introducing us to her horses, dogs, goats and ducks. Loved seeing the animals roaming freely and coming up to us. Lots of kayaks to use at the creek as well . We will definitely be back 😊

Weekend Trip to Clyde’s Forest Farm Adventure

We absolutely loved staying at this site and had a great weekend. The campsite was peaceful, private and we had the pleasure of Clyde the resident horse dropping by from time to time to come and say hello. Remy was wonderful, so helpful, friendly and lovely to deal with... Special thanks again to her! We would love to come back and stay again sometime

A beautiful place to relax and unwind down at the river. Sadly I had a family with children park their caravan right next to my tent which kept me awake way past midnight - when I wanted a quiet night in nature. But I highly recommend the location.

The spot had beautiful views of the surrounding plantation fields and glimpses of the glasshouse mountaintop. It has a convenient playground equipment for the kids to enjoy hours on while you setup camp and facilities that may surprise you that’s included for the price you pay for the site. Host is amazing and was there for anything you needed for your stay to be enjoyable

The site was very private and once a minor issue with the hot water was quickly sorted it was an amazing place to spend our time in the region. Tucked up in a quiet location but close enough to local attractions. The facilities were exactly as described and provided everything we needed.

The Hosts , Wayne and Kaye are wonderful. This is a secure site , lots of space and yet a short walk or drive into Landsborough for all your needs . Located at the doorstep to the sunshine coast for easy access to everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer Would definitely recommend this hipcamp with a range of powered and unpowered sites i’ll be back for sure

Reece’s campsites are huge only limiting to 3 sites, which is a massive bonus, the grass mowed surrounded by trees but easy to find solar if that is a priority. Such a quiet piece of land to camp up. Easy to find with Reece’s directions on Hipcamp. Friendly baby goats, cows & a tiny horse that can be as interactive as you would like or Reece is able to contain them in another paddock. This would be definitely be a place we would stay again.

A lovely, family friendly campsite with power and water available. Rob is friendly and helpful and you can tell he enjoys having guests to stay. Beautiful scenery and not far from Palmwoods with a few local amenities and an outdoor pool (few minutes drive)

1 night at Skippy Trails on Sippy

We enjoyed the open spaces, the views, kangaroos and the serenity . It was nice to meet Mel and have a chat. We were the only ones camping at Skippy Trails on the night we stayed but there is plenty of space at all 8 camp sites. The camp was handy for us to drop our caravan off in Caloundra for a service. Only 20 mins from Caloundra. We will be back again to stay when we want to explore the Sunny coast. Thank you very much Lidiana and Mel . Ann-Marie and James

Very quiet, private site with a great view! Having our own shower and toilet was very convenient. A solid table and two chair were provided. Perfect for the four of us but this site could easily accommodate more.

Beautiful level lawned campsite complete with kangaroos and abundant birdlife!

Friendly hosts, and a great spot to come back to after day trips to the beach and hinterland. Easy to park in my motorhome and get some afternoon shade from the big trees on the perimeter.
