If you are booking with others, please let us know so we can site you together. We are unable to accommodate tent sites. The river is a perfect spot to swim, kayak or fish with plenty of wildlife around to see, river shoes are advised for your comfort. The river can sometimes be swollen and fast flowing. Please watch children at all times. Camping fires are only allowed outside of fire restrictions. Fires must be in a proper container / bucket. Please leave site clear. If you forage for wood please clear site of whats left before leaving This property is pet friendly though we do ask that owners leash and clean up after their fur babies. Dump points are located at Wauchope and Port Macquarie. We ask that all rubbish is taken with you upon leaving. Please be mindful that we do have neighbours and we ask that you be respectful and keep all noise to a minimum after 11pm and before 6am. Only 45 min from Port Macquarie, 30 min to Wauchope and just 10 min to Long Flat where there's a Pub for takeaway, a social drink as well as food and sometimes live music on weekends. The General Store has general supplies, takeaway, PO and fuel. Retaining the peace and tranquillity of our property is important to us and why the number of sites and campers is limited. Although there are designated camping spots we're happy to be flexible if you arrive and would like to relocate within our extensive 'camping area' ...depending on weather conditions and respecting the personal space of other campers. We have livestock (currently horses) running throughout the property - some can be very friendly but please don't approach or feed them. We prefer no dogs but will allow if dogs remain well controlled, tethered or on a leash - this is for the safety of your pet as well as the livestock and wildlife. You will see and hear all kinds of wildlife, particularly morning and evening when they are most active. There are no amenities, rubbish or water facilities so come prepared, take what you brought and leave it as you found it. There is one only port-a-loo with pop-up-tent available for hire if required. You are welcome to take a walk or pushbike and enjoy the peace and nature but please no driving of vehicles or use of motorcycles or quads. PLEASE NOTE: Fire restrictions from September 1st and usually continue during Summer. Our 320-acre property is a pristine piece of paradise halfway between Sydney and Brisbane on the mid-north coast of NSW. Our site is unique, in that once you book you have the whole site to yourself. This is PRIVATE camping. You'll only have to share the river with whoever you bring with you and us! This is truly off-grid stuff - no power, no showers, little to no phone reception but one of the most peaceful places you can experience. There will sometimes be cattle in the paddock you are camped in - so to make this plain there could be cow poo around your area. If that is a worry to you, it's best you camp on a farm without livestock. If you do camp with us, and our cows are in the paddock, they are friendly and won't hurt you, though they can be quite inquisitive. We endeavor to keep our moo friends in other paddocks, but this is a working farm and we have to manage our pastures and put our animals where they are able to be safe and have enough food to stay healthy. If you're here at the right time of year, you might catch a Bass or see a Platypus (but only if you're very, very quiet). There is a lot of bird life (Kingfishers, Wrens, Finches amongst others), reptiles (water dragons and lace monitors), and - of course - our farm animals. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock 3. 9pm quiet time. 4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers 5. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm. 6. Dogs on leads when walking around the farm - Limit of 2 dogs per camp site. Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry. Our 320-acre property is a pristine piece of paradise halfway between Sydney and Brisbane on the mid-north coast of NSW. Our site is unique, in that once you book you have the whole site to yourself. This is PRIVATE camping. You'll only have to share the river with whoever you bring with you and us! This is truly off-grid stuff - no power, no showers, little to no phone reception but one of the most peaceful places you can experience. There will sometimes be cattle in the paddock you are camped in - so to make this plain there could be cow poo around your area. If that is a worry to you, it's best you camp on a farm without livestock. If you do camp with us, and our cows are in the paddock, they are friendly and won't hurt you, though they can be quite inquisitive. We endeavor to keep our moo friends in other paddocks, but this is a working farm and we have to manage our pastures and put our animals where they are able to be safe and have enough food to stay healthy. If you're here at the right time of year, you might catch a Bass or see a Platypus (but only if you're very, very quiet). There is a lot of bird life (Kingfishers, Wrens, Finches amongst others), reptiles (water dragons and lace monitors), and - of course - our farm animals. Getting away from it all starts right here at Oakvale Cattle Farm.

We have a working cattle property and breed Hereford cattle, they will be roaming around freely on the property. Beautiful views from the top of the hills. No through road so only local traffic. There are five major camping locations with many other camping locations that you may like to choose for yourself. You may choose to camp near the cattle yards close to the creek, near the horses or high up on the hill to catch the views of the property. 4WD vehicles & high clearance caravans are recommended and able to camp throughout the property and are recommended. 2WD wheel drive vehicles are able to camp at locations earlier in the property. Bundilla River Camp is a great spot for either a 1 nighter or longer stay. We stayed for 3 nights, Rick & Cheryl are amazing hosts, friendly and accommodating. Amenities are clean and grounds are very well maintained. We stayed on site 3 (no power) pick of the lot! (Good for solar) Early morning sun with plenty of shade in the afternoon, close to toilets, communal area and access to the river. River is very good for cooling off, kid friendly too. I would highly recommend staying at Bundilla, With Animal feeding available, firewood, eggs, delivered to your site, its a no brainer! Thank you Rick & Cheryl for an amazing, enjoyable camping experience, we will definitely come back again.

Very well maintained. Obvious the owners take great care in presentation and cleanliness. Rick and Cheryl were very friendly but respectful of campers space. The long drops have no foul odour and pleasant to use. Best we’ve seen. We felt welcome from arrival. The kayaks were a welcome addition and being free to use was a fantastic addition.

This was our first time at a Hipcamp site and boy were we spoiled. A very special location on the banks of a safe, swimmable river. A beautifully maintained, flat paddock suiting several different camping options. Very clean and quirky drop toilets and you can even order fresh eggs / firewood on request. While we didn’t take the farm tour, do remember this is a working farm with livestock and in places electric fences. We were a couple, with an energetic puppy (who was in heaven!) but it’s also a great place families with kids - with playswings, kayaks etc. Cheryl and Rick were highly responsive and thoughtful. Absolutely lovely spot! Perfect grassy sites right on the beautiful river with lovely swimming holes. Our dogs also had the best time playing and swimming. We had a lovely paddle up river in the kayaks and our daughter made use of the boogie boards having a float in the river. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay Bundilla River Camp, we were blown away by how beautiful it was and all it had to offer. We loved spending our time swimming in creek, doing a farm tour (along with feeding the animals) and enjoying everything else the farm had to offer such as fire pits, kayaks etc. Perfect for solo's, couples, families or even pets. I absolutely loved it however the check-in was not good at all. It should be online. We had to wait at the gate , then walk 200 m to the Pub to check in , fill out a form and then get a code to open the gate ! if people were behind us we would’ve held up the whole highway. This whole procedure took me about 15 minutes. Should 100% be online check-in?
