Situated in the heart of the Macleay Valley with river frontage, Twin Oaks is a 40-acre sheep and cattle farm operating on organic farming principles. It is very peaceful as we are positioned a long way from any busy roads etc. The location makes for a great starting point for day trips to endless attractions around the mid-north coast. All sites are private and offer plenty of space for a relaxing, spread-out camp setup. We don't offer facilities at present, so all campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and all waste must depart with you.

Long Flat would be one of the harder camp sites to access on the property but is well worth it, this site is suitable for larger groups of campers with 4x4 rigs and off road camp trailers or tents. It's one of the closest to the river and has it's own water hole.

Foot Rot Flats

Foot rot flats is on the north side of the creek, has a reasonably large level area to camp, It can become water logged in very wet conditions hence the name, but this will be regulated depending on weather. It is suitable for up to 2 4x4 rigs and camp trailers or 4 tents.

The Heights

The heights camp ground is suitable for up to 2 bigger off road caravans or up to 3 camp trailers, It is next to a small creek with a fire basket and shaded picnic area with mountain views to the south, it is by far the easiest of the camp sites to access being closest to the drive way.

Not much I can add to previous reviews...Tom's a great guy and extremely helpful. Makes you feel right at home. His property is just beautiful and so peaceful. We loved our four nights stay and hope to be back that way one day.

Great camp site and a great host. We originally booked 2 nights but then extended to stay for 6 Fabulous grass area very well maintained and the perfect firepit with wood supplied. Really enjoyed this spot..short walk to the beautiful river with steep access and a great swimming spot just down the road with easy access for all. Great property really well maintained and one of the most friendly and helpful hosts we have met. We will be back..thankyou Tom your a legend.

All our group loved the Long Flat stay. Ground prep was immaculate. Stakes of firewood supplied with the biggest firepit I've ever seen. Plenty of shady trees. Finding the site was easy enough. It was hot, we found it easier to drive to the Temagog bridge and cool off in the river there (not far).

We stayed over the Aus Day long weekend with 6 adults and 7 dogs! The camping areas were immaculate and spread far from the next. The firewood and huge fire pits provided fantastic. Tom was extremely friendly and helpful, showing us where to fish and swim. Our favourite was spending hours swimming at the Temagog Bridge. Thanks Tom! We would highly recommend this property.

The Bend
Tom’s campsite, The Bend, was an absolute delight. The directions were clear and easy to follow, which made arriving stress‑free. Once there, I was genuinely impressed by how beautifully cared for the grounds were — everything felt clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. Although we didn’t get to use it, there was plenty of firewood provided for a fire at night under the stars. Tom himself is a standout host. He has a real wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and is more than happy to show you around or share tips on what to explore on his land. His passion for the place adds so much to the experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, well‑kept campsite with a host who truly goes above and beyond.

We had a lovely time at Tom’s farm again, beautifully maintained campsites and welcoming as always. Plenty of time spent swimming and fishing in the river on the property and with wood provided you can’t say no to a fire. Weather it’s 1 night or 5 you won’t be short of things to do especially with south west rocks 1 hour away

We loved our 3 night stay at Twin Oaks. Our host Tom, was friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The sites are beautifully maintained, short green grass, fire pits and heaps of wood. The bird life is amazing and the frogs entertaining. The campsite is remote ensuring peace and quiet. Thanks for a great stay!

The Bend
stunning location for a camp! we were lucky enough to have no other campers there for a night over Easter so it felt extra awesome. the Macleay river is a lovely walk from the camp site. Tom is extremely helpful enjoys meeting his camping guests. he even has an epic fire pit set up with all the wood which was very generous of his time and energy thank you Tom, will come again!

It was a perfect spot for a family camping trip great open area to set up camp mowed and clean great fire pit and the host Tom was brilliant had no hesitation helping us with any questions we had even took me n my older kids bass fishing and we all hooked fish plus even was happy to play cricket with the littler kids would have no hesitation rebooking and going again witch we will

Our second time staying here and we didn’t think it would be as fantastic as the first time , but we were wrong! Had the absolute best time at long flat. Owner is so caring and makes you feel at home and never failed to put a smile on our faces! Enjoyed a good swim and float down the river and is only a hour drive out to the beach for a day trip. Would highly recommend this camp site to everyone! Thank you so much Tom for our amazing experience we love you and miss you already ❤️❤️

Tom was a fantastic host, offering to show us down to the river on his property. Lovely mowed areas for the camp grounds. Fire pits and wood were supplied. Even had the cows come visit camp. Will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

GREAT campsite, couldn’t speak more highly of it. Amazing secluded spot, really makes you feel like you’re on a holiday. Beautiful scenery with amazing water to swim in. Owner of the property was so kind and caring towards us and made our stay one we will never forget
