Nourishing and fun
A gorgeous spot. Was perfect for our group of families. The kids all loved it. Fabulous swimming. Thanks Lisa for the many thoughtful touches. We'll be back.

Lisa was an AMAZING host. Her private campsite is fantastic for groups of people. I went camping with a group of 14 friends and the campsite was perfect. Can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Relaxing stay, so easy to get to!
Great place to get away for a weekend! Massive camp site, plenty of room to park and setup. Right next to the river. Great views from camp. Fire pit. Heaps of firewood on request. Went kayaking and swimming in the river. Toilet block and shower were clean and warm and just a short walk. Lisa was a great host.

absolutely perfect spot for a party! lisa was super nice and so much fun! she helped us out with anything we needed and was super chill. the campsite was brilliant, the sand due to the floods was no problem at all and the area was perfect. we will be coming again xx

Awesome camp ground
Fabulous camp ground next to the Colo River. Great for large parties with so much space for all your kit. This is our second time here and can’t wait to go back again. Our host, Lisa, was awesome and even helped us out with firewood. Highly recommended and not many places like this where toilets and a shower is available.

Fantastic place. Lisa is great, made us feel very welcomed. Was awesome to have the place to ourselves. On the river, large open space and great to have a fire in the evenings. Will definitely be coming back.

Reluctant to review because I want this place to stay a hidden gem! <3 Lisa was incredible start to finish, hospitable, informative, friendly, and very chilled. Was gracious with her property, and left us to enjoy it, but checked in to make sure we were all happy. The property is beyond beautiful, flat, grassed, perfect balance of shady and sunny and has a sandy area near the fire pit/ beach area.
We had a large group for a surprise bday, and everyone was super comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed their time. Such a short stray from the big smoke to this slice of heaven, which was also a bonus. The amenities were super clean and a massive draw: Large sturdy table and chairs, big fire pit, kayaks and water supplies, BBQ and sink, gazebo, and 3 toilets + hot showers. The ultimate perfect getaway, we will be back in a heartbeat! xx

Lisa was exceptional! Her property is a beautiful getaway for groups or individuals on the banks of the Colo River. Lisa made our group feel very welcome and went over and above to provide shelter for our campsite when it started raining! Highly recommended!

A great spot for families. Lisa the host is very friendly and made sure we were OK. She even let us choose where to camp (either by the river or on the grass section, across the road. Your spot is huge. We had tents but were surrounded by camper trailers. We stayed on the riverside which is sandy. Has clean flushing toilets and a shower with hot water. Riverside also has a communal kitchen. Not far from Windsor. Would love to come back again.

Bathrooms and showers are very clean, well maintained and not to mention Lisa is super chill and a great host!

Shady Acres Colo River The Farm
We camped on the farm side which was a great spot, in the sunshine with plenty of space. Lisa made us feel very welcome and was very generous with her time. The children were able to groom and feed her horses which was one of the highlights for my daughter. If you are not self contained, she has built 5 star facilities for guests to use.

Not a bad place to go camping, it was quite nice and the host was lovely. The only down fall is that there is only 1 shower and that you may break your ankle getting down to the river.

Lisa was extremely accommodating and helpful. We stayed with a large group of 17 with great privacy and views. Highly recommend staying here!!!
Toilet and showers were clean.

Great fun with our friends and families. I suggest the far right camping spot if you want a bit of space. It was beautiful in Winter, I can't wait to visit in the warmer months. Lisa was very accommodating and those toilets/shower block were A+.

Lisa is a phenomenal host, very welcoming and kindly helped us out when needed.

WE WILL BE BACK!
We stayed at Shady Acres for a family long weekend and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It’s the little things that make it that extra bit special whilst not taking away from the camping experience. The communal bbq was excellent, the hot shower and toilets were VERY much appreciated, and the kids (well my kids but 20 year old’s!) enjoyed using the canoes on the river. Added bonus it’s so close to Sydney, from northern beaches it was about 90 minutes! It unfortunately got nailed by the floods so what was obviously lush grass before now has a lot of sand on it although you can see the grass trying to grow through, but this isn’t a huge deal, just bring floor mats for tents or old shoes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. It’s really crucial we support these stays that have been affected by floods/fires etc and I know we will all be going back to Lisa’s stay again!

Nice spot!
First time at Shady Acres and we were impressed. Nice spot near the river and well thought out facilities with nice showers and toilets.
Word of warning due to the floods you will be camping on sand until the grass grows back.
Had the place to our selves mid week but as like most places it got pretty busy over the weekend .

Easy weekend camp
For one of the closest camps to Sydney this hits the mark. Lisa was super attentive and available. New toilet/shower was unexpected and a great bonus. Waterfront access area has great tables for long lunches etc, in summer it would be awesome. Colo river is obviously still recovering from the floods so it’s very shady underfoot just make sure you have ground sheets and a broom!

An unforgettable stay by the river.
We absolutely loved our stay and had a chance to reconnect with nature and enjoy the fresh air and stargaze by the fire.
Lisa was very welcoming and helpful and made it easy for us to enjoy our stay.
The eggs were amazing too.
