Lovely weekend, dogs had a great time and enjoyed our stay.
Nice property even had some firewood at the fire pit on arrival. Would recommend if travelling with dogs.

Very quite area, with huge open relatively flat grass paddock, able to have fires, drop toilet available.
Beautiful dam with kayaks to use which the kids absolutely loved.
Kai was lovely came to check in when we got there.

I would not recommend this to anyone. We arrived maybe an hour or so before sunset and were greeted to swarms of March flies attacking us constantly. Our dog was chasing her tail and hiding in the van because there were that many. We decided it wasn’t possible to stay there comfortably so made the decision to leave and let the host know our reason for not being able to stay. Also the grass was very overgrown for a campsite.
Any reasonable person would understand that this is a valid reason and likely assist us in any way they could. But not Kai. Kai spent probably 10 minutes composing a long sarcastic, smartarse reply trying to mock us for not wanting to sit in a field being bitten by March flies. He suggested a mosquito net would have solved the problem. It probably would have if I wanted to sit in my van all evening. Or if I wanted to wrap one around me in my chair, that could have worked too 😂. He also suggested hotels, New Zealand and a lot of other stupid ideas.
Kai finally told us that he didn’t want to give us a refund as the flies were out of his control. Such a great host. He wasn’t even put out in the slightest but felt it necessary to take our money anyway. This shows you the kind of person he is.
Anyway there are plenty of better options around that are cheaper, with better facilities and a friendly host. We were just unfortunate that we had to book last minute.
Kai has now refunded part of my money but I’m waiting on the rest. What an experience 👎🏼

We loved caravanning at Grassyenda. It was peaceful and private, with plenty of green grass to choose your spot. In close proximity to our favourite beach: Scott’s Head and we witnessed over 30 black cockatoos flying overhead. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again in the future.

I liked this camp. Had most of the space to ourselves. Cool shaded areas around the perimeter with tall tree coverage. Perfect for my 1 night stay with my dog.

Great place for a stopover on the way back to Sydney. The weather wasn’t on our side so we couldn’t take Kai up on the offer of kayaking on the dam. Close to Stuart’s Point and Scott’s Head.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was extremely easy to access, great flat camp site to set up our camper trailer. The toilet and water are a huge bonus. Very quiet. Will definitely come again and be recommending to others

This campsite reminded me of a music festival - lovely laidback settings and people. I highly recommend staying here a bit longer if possible because there are heaps of nice beaches to chill out nearby. Not to mention, Kai is an awesome host, who is trying to this place special - all the best :)

Easy access in a lovely area that’s chilled out even for new years. We loved the beaches and river close by. The dam on site was a lovely addition to swim in. It was warm early in the day but the afternoon and evening temperatures were cooled off with a great breeze.
Kai was super respectful and friendly. Thanks for having us!

We had a great stay at Kai’s place . Very peaceful, plenty of space between campers .
Kai helped us with lots of great local information, place to go , beaches to visit. The farm is really close to Scott’s Head, and Grassy Head , perfectly positioned away from the crowds . Would highly recommend , and we will pop in again . We originally booked for a few days and stayed nearly 2 weeks . Thanks Kai .

We had a great stay with Kai at Flooded Gum , great host ,very friendly and welcoming and lots of knowledge about the area . The sites and spots are large and private , no neighbours, noise , and incredible views of the night sky . Very close to some great beaches at Grassy , Scott’s Head , and a 2 minute drive to Stuart’s point for supplies or Cafe . Definitely recommend.

I loved spending the night at Kai’s land! Was easy to find, a comfortable stay and had an amazing sunrise from my bed in the van. Kai was super responsive and helpful and was great to be able to meet him in person. Would highly recommend this stay and come back.

Well maintained grass paddock with fire pits to pull up too met kai very welcoming and full of info on the area stayed for two nights very relalaxing be a great spot for family groups

What a great relaxing spot to pull up. The main caravan park in Scott’s Head is nice but so crowded, yet not far away is this absolute gem.
Loads of space around the 5 sites, heaps of firewood around the perimeter that you are free to use .
Kia is a great bloke, 3rd generation on this farm.
Definitely will come back on any trips up the North Coast
