At Grassyenda, you'll find flat grass camping a stones throw from great beaches, the river, and townships. It's a rural setting that makes a great basecamp from which to explore the abundance of activities available nearby. Macleay River is just a 3 minute drive from camp and Grassy Head Beach is a five minutes, so you are never far from fishing, surfing and swimming! Closer to home, you're also welcome to paddle the kayak in the property's dam. The Yarrabinni National Park is closeby, and a great option for hiking, bushwalking, scenic lookouts, and freshwater creeks. The nearest village, Stuarts Point, is just 3 minutes down the road, with larger towns and shopping 20 to 30 minutes' drive away. The property is just 14km off the M1, with good access and plenty of open space. We limit the number of bookings we take to ensure you can find a private, spacious site to yourselves. Kid friendly.A private bare-bones camping opportunity on a flat, grassy, rural landscape, just off the road - convenient access for all 2wd vehicle when dry conditions , smaller 2wd and 4wd in severe rain/ flooding conditions. Drinking water can be provided to fill canisters or bottles (not to fill your tanks). There is also a pit dunny available. You'll pick your site on arrival from within the designated camping area, with plenty of space to choose from, perfect for setting up a comfortable and private camp. 2wd access - however in sever wet weather the ground, although sandy, can become very sodden and therefore a 4WD may be needed.

I really enjoyed camping at Kai’s farm. It is a great large open space. Beautiful setting and lush grass to camp on. It was fantastic to be the only the only camper there for most of the time I was there. My dog loved it!

Best getaway, best location
We loved the tranquility of this beautiful place. So much space and so much privacy. Not far from the beaches. For those looking for a great getaway we would recommend grassyenda. We will definitely return and will recommended to friends and family.

We had a great weekend camping at Grassyenda! Kai was fantastic- very easy going and friendly, and so prompt and helpful in his communication. He came down to check we had everything we needed including firewood (which he had available). The area was very quiet, the cars can be heard distantly from the road however after nightfall they pretty much stop going past and there is just silence. In the morning you are woken by the sound of birds chirping- so lovely! It is also very private, there were a few other large groups who were camped nearby however there is plenty of space n the property so we went right to the end in the back corner tucked into the trees which was very private! Easily accessible in my little 2wd ford focus. Couple of mins drive to the beach, Scotts Head 10 min drive up the road, a couple of mins drive down the road past Kai's is Stuart's Point which has a little pub, convenience and bottle shop. A few mozzies in the evening and flies during the day, but it had rained the week before so that is to be expected. No spiders which is always a 10/10 for me! A great place to camp and we'll definitely be back!

Kai dropped down and explained the layout of the Campground. Later in the afternoon he dropped firewood off. A great area for tents, camp trailers and caravans. But you require to be self-contained. The local Bowls Club, offer a courtesy bus.
