The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents18 acres · Diggs, VAThe Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips. There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a promative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic cabin on the back side of the property. Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. 4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents120 acres · Wakefield, VA Peace and quiet equals “Solitude at my farm. I’m just like you. I want to camp at a quiet place in the country where it’s plenty of acres and no houses to look at and a clean bathroom and shower. Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

The Draper Property
2 sites · RVs, Tents130 acres · Milford, DETent, Teardrop, and camper van styles only because of low hanging branches on the camp road. The porta potty is gone for the season so everyone must have a camp toilet. The property is 130 acres. The 66-acre field was being farmed until this year, there is an old borrow pit we always called the 'dirt pit' and about 60 acres of mature forest with creeks. The 'dirt pit' was my favorite swimming hole in the 70s but the pines have grown up around it and now it looks like a pond in the woods. There are two ponds and the land in between is the perfect place to camp. That campsite is called 'Between The Ponds.' I added a second campsite, called 'Top of The Pond' and it overlooks the larger pond. I only have 2 campsites with plenty of space dividing them. The property is close to town so there is some noise. But the camps are very private. Porta-potty on site until the end of November after that, people with camp toilets only.

Serenity and nature
13 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Elkwood, VAThe land was marched across by Civil War soldiers on ther way to Gettysburg. They were on their way from Brandy Station to cross the Rappahannock River at Kelly's Ford. Much later there were horses in the fields, a well and spring were hand dug, a pond created and slowly buildings were built and expanded, but no barns as it was not really farmed. This meant no chemicals have been used on the land for over 60 years and perhaps ever. The plan is to keep it organic, but do something with it. Ideas are welcome. Relic hunters have found confederate bullets, a belt buckle and an early 1900 Ford logo.Nearby Activities under 15 miles-April: Gnarley Hops and Barely Fest- craft beer festivalMay - October: Sundays Flying Circus stunt shows with Biplane rides offeredAugust: Hot Air Balloon FestSeptember: Hop N Hop Block party- music and BBQOctober: Culpeper Air Fest, free, 2 miles, stunts and precision flying, WWII planes, Harrier Jet and more. Day Trips: Washington DC by car, Amtrack or catch the VRE in Manassas, Oatfields Plantation; Skyline Drive; Monticello; Mt Vernon; Williamsburg; Frederick, MD, Harper's Ferry, WVCivil War Sites: Brandy Station and the Graffiti House, Wilderness, Chancellorsville, Cedar Mountain, Fredericksburg, Manassas, Ox Hill. Trails, hills, serenity & bamboo
10 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents116 acres · Orange , VA116 acres of hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. In the 5 people per site we are considering adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Also, if you want peace and quiet - and we have children booked - we will put you out at one beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running and singing.
