If you are looking for a unique experience and appreciate history, architecture, and exquisite design, you just found your spot. First of all, the location. The cabin is located on a rural road that is a five minute drive to downtown Onancock, which offers a coffee shop, several restaurants, bakery, shops, Saturday farmers’ market, and the harbor. Chincoteague and the famous ponies are 35 minutes north, and bougie Cape Charles is 40 minutes south. When you open the door to this 300’ gem, you will step back in time to a simpler way of life. This century-old building was moved to the site and has been brought back to life, preserving the original character, while adding the creature comforts we love of today. Soaring 12 foot ceilings provide a spacious air, and the original wood interior offer charm and patina that simply cannot be manufactured. In the past, it was a barber shop and then a poker joint. This place is a design nerd’s dream, a clever combination of old, new, and vintage pieces, handmade pottery and art, with close attention paid to each chosen piece. Lace curtains and blackout blinds cover all your light preferences for peaceful sleeping. The queen bed is a high end hybrid mattress with traditional coil base and memory foam top. A giant 55” TV is directly across from the bed for cozy streaming. The modern bathroom has a vintage wall sink found on site, and terrific water pressure from a rain shower head with instant, never ending Rinnai hot water. The kitchen has an ample antique sideboard as your sink, apartment size refrigerator, induction hot plate, coffee, microwave, and combo convection toaster oven/air fryer. The marble table seats two. A comfortable down-filled loveseat adds another lounge option. You will enjoy all the artistic touches around the room. Did I mention the front porch??? It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon wine, and evening stargazing from rocking chairs with your boo. A pretty view of a wide field is across the street and will sooth your weary soul. Little Rustic Cabin

I had a wonderful stay at this little cabin outside Onancock with my French Bulldog. It's a great pick for a solo trip or a couple's getaway. The decor is chic and genuinely tasteful. Comfortable bed and couch, great lighting, and the AC kept up easily during a heat wave that lasted the entire stay. The space is small but laid out well, easy for one person and a small dog to move around comfortably. Mona was a fantastic host: great communication, useful local tips, and friendly check-ins--never intrusive. The porch and yard were easy to use with my dog. The street doesn't have sidewalks, so walks right outside aren't ideal, though traffic is light. The grounds themselves gave her plenty of room to get exercise. Onancock is a cute, friendly small town. It was hot the whole time and I had a dog with me, so I didn't explore too much, but the town is very walkable for dogs, and Foggy Place Cafe was happy to let my dog come inside, which I appreciated. Kitchen has cookware, a hot plate, and a microwave, all great to have. Fridge and freezer worked well too. Pantry basics were limited, so plan to stop at a grocery store on your way in. I brought my own pour-over setup and didn't try the coffee maker, but it looked fine. Wifi was strong (easy to stream), the place was quiet, and sleeping was great. No real issues to report.

Little Rustic Cabin

Oh my gosh, this cabin is everything. From the front porch to the kitchen and every little detail made the cabin feel like home. Great location to everything that makes the eastern shore special and Mona was incredibly helpful sharing recommendations on places to eat and things to do! My dog, Lola, and I celebrated her birthday here and it was the perfect getaway to disconnect. A beautiful cabin and a great getaway!

This tiny cabin was a lovely weekend get away! Onancock is a cute town to visit, and lots of ways to get beach/water access nearby. We really enjoyed having access to appliances for cooking too. Mona is an awesome and attentive host. We had a great visit!

This little cabin is so cute with all the amenities! I had a girls crafting weekend and we had the big tv for hallmark movies and comfy couch! Love the shower and coffee supplies!

Mona's cabin was everything we hoped it would be - and more! The land is gorgeous and the cabin was even more inviting than the photos. Mona was very pleasant and responsive. We wish we booked longer and will absolutely be back!

We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! The cabin was very clean and felt like home. The little town was beautiful and such a nice atmosphere. Mona went above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon was perfect. Would absolutely recommend her and her cabin.

We highly recommend staying at the Rustic Little Cabin. It’s so peaceful and cozy as well as clean. The kitchen has everything one needs and the bathroom is pretty with a great shower. We ll definitely go back one day.

Little Rustic Cabin

This is such a cute cabin with cozy furnishings and great amenities. We liked being secluded but close to the town and also not far from the beach. I would highly recommend this cabin to stay!

Little Rustic Cabin

Mona’s little cabin was cute, cozy, and had all the essentials including a comfortable bed, couch, table and chairs, kitchen, dishes, utensils, bathroom, towels, and even a little porch with two chairs. There was also an air conditioner and fans. And WiFi. The cabin was located across from a farm. There were woods around. And the town of Onancock was a short drive away.

A little slice of country heaven!

Little Rustic Cabin

Absolutely beautiful place. So quiet and peaceful. The birds singing in the morning and throughout the day is just an added bonus. Very clean and maintained. Such wonderful aesthetics . Everything you could possibly need for a weekend of relaxation and peace. It was hard to leave. Farmers market in the little town was a plus. Such friendly and welcoming people. Mona is an exceptional host and you can tell she takes pride in her property. Very lovely space. I recommend ten out ten. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable. The bed is super comfy and the cabin set up is perfect Shower is amazing, Everything was perfect.
