Ugly Apple Farms
4 sites · Tents70 acres · Port Jervis, NYUgly Apple Farms was started by my Wife and to try to bring fresh organic/permaculture food to our community. We love to play music and get together with our friends and have been hosting people for some time. We thought that hipcamp could introduce people to our mission and make some extra money to get the farm off the ground. Ugly Apple Farms is a diverse place. We have opportunities for farm classes, pick your own veggies and more. We also have 1800 feet of access to the Neversink River. We recommend four wheel drive for some of our sites so please ask about them. We are an off grid farm with access to some solar for charging. We have tent sites and room for campers. Our camping is primitive but there is access to potable water and sanitation if needed. All extras are first come first serve if not reserved in advance. We love and welcome any questions! Thanks for looking!! Randall and Melissa

Nature is calling! **History of The Awosting Club** In the mid 1950's John Atwater Bradley, then a graduate student, attended a conference in Cragsmoor, the site of a celebrated art colony not far from what is now the Awosting Reserve and The Awosting Club. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, racoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge. The Bradley family still lives on the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. Bradley's daughter, Camilla, and her family are keeping the Awosting traditions alive by sprucing up the camp buildings and platforms while maintaining the trails that have been used for decades for outdoor adventures: from sleeping to eating to playing to communing with nature in all her glory.

TainoWoods Fairy Magical Sweet Land
8 sites · Tents10 acres · NYJesse and Chantel are the kindhearted and dedicated keepers of this beautiful oasis. With twelve acres of pure forest and sweet river waters, our vision is to preserve and honor the ways of our ancestors for seven generations to come; and serve the community as a healing Native American Sanctuary, nature is our church so to all who are called to come and be present with gratitude and respect for the power of this planet. Enjoy this majestic sweet forest and feel the beautiful energy it has! We will share our native ways with all who want to come join and pray with us. Each brother and sister will receive cedar to pray with the fire which represents Great Spirit, you can set your intensions to release what no longer serves your lives, and make space to receive what will. The East Mongaup River flows right into it. It will surely melt away any stress you carry; sending you back home feeling renewed, restored, and rejuvenated. Our Taino Woods Sanctuary, a.k.a Fairy Magical Sweet Land of twelve acres in the Catskills is the perfect place to commune in prayer, pitch your tent, gaze up at the stars, and unwind next to a nearby fire. This raw, soft, organic land is a home teeming with life. Listen to the birds as they sing throughout the day and into the night. (We call them the fairies). Look for the curious creatures that walk the earth like the frogs and newts. Open your ears to the sweet sounds of the East Mongaup River; and perhaps take the brief walk down to visit her. We, the land stewards, believe in making a place better than how we found it. We want to preserve the land’s naturalness and ecosystem; so we ask that you do not hurt or remove any of its animals, moss, insects, or plants; and most importantly, do not feed any of them. We look forward to hosting you on a magical journey to inner peace. Thank you and many blessings.

Stony Rose Farms
5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents38 acres · Kingston, NYStony Rose Farms is located in the beautiful and historic Hudson Valley. Our area has a rich farming heritage and our land was once part of a much larger farm. We purchased the land in February of 2020 and have created our own off grid paradise full of chickens, flowers, bees and lots of different types of plants. WINTER CAMPING: Winter camping can be great fun, as long as you are prepared! Please make sure you have adequate gear and are prepared for the cold. We advise you arrive in a 4WD vehicle so that you are prepared for the sloping gravel driveway and field no matter the weather. Be sure to check out our chicken coops. Our hens and roosters play an important role in the sustainable agricultural practices we use on the farm. Our lovely ladies provide us with delicious and colorful eggs each day. Your breakfast at the farm can't get any fresher... sunny side up eggs dripping yolk onto fresh local bread, fresh melons and berries still warm from the sun, sweet honey and local milk in your coffee. A true farm to table meal is possible year round in our beautiful valley! Most weekends we offer a breakfast basket filled with goodies produced on our farm or by other local growers. The back of our property is also wooded. If you are quiet you are certain to see birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkey and deer as you walk along the creek and explore the mossy rocks and tiny waterfalls. If you follow the marked bushwack trail you'll be guided over fallen trees and through breaks in historic stone walls, then across the creek and up the hill you will come out onto the O&W Rail Trail. This 27 mile trail is perfect for hiking, biking and strolling. In some segments it is smoothly paved and others it is gravel. From this trail you can access multiple parks, libraries and museums if you are looking for a long hike or ride. We are centrally located between Kingston, Kerhonkson, Woodstock and New Paltz and all are about a scenic 20 minutes drive. The NYS Thruway is less than 10 minutes away if you are travelling through. The Rondout Valley is home to multiple breweries, amazing restaurants, luxurious spas, places to kayak, fish, swim, rock climb... or you could spend your entire visit at the farm reading a good book and enjoying beautiful sunsets. PLEASE NOTE: -We are a working farm that uses sustainable organic methods. There are bugs (ants, ticks, bees, mosquitos, etc) and areas with long grass. We keep the grass at the campsites short but you will have long grass around you. That long grass is home to numerous kinds of birds that only live in that type of habitat. Poison ivy is also possible when out in nature, we do NOT spray any chemicals on ANY of our land. -The sites are within earshot to the chicken coops, we DO have roosters and you WILL hear them. -There are wild animals around the farm. You should store away all food and garbage when you are not at the campsite. We would like to keep them cautious of humans and not a nuisance! -On holiday weekends we do have a minimum night stay.

Bethel Pastures Farm
4 sites · Lodging52 acres · Jeffersonville, NYPurchased in 1999 from famous photographer Joel Meyerowitz, Rochelle fell in love with the farmhouse, it's 52 varied acres, rolling hills and amazing views. She dreamed of turning it into a B&B one day...bringing it back to it's original purpose, of hosting guests from out of town. The original homestead was a boarding house in the early 1900's. Rochelle, Mark and their son Jonathan love to provide good old fashioned hospitality in their cabins, glamping tent and farmhouse rooms. They love people enjoying their 52 acres and walking the same trail the cows did from the back fields all the way down to the milk barn in the late 1800's and early 1900's...but all that remains is the stone wall foundation and a small part of the silo. Partake in farm chores like collecting eggs, feeding the chickens and sheep! Just let the host family know you are interested and then you may join them for some very special and unique farm adventures! Pick berries in season and some veggies too! Children and pets welcome!
