If coffee isn’t your thing, relax in the spa bath at the end of the day. As this is a rural area, mobile phone service may be limited. However, we provide free WiFi (which can be slow) and a landline for incoming and local calls to help you stay connected. **Bedding:** - Main bedroom: Choice of a king bed or two single beds. - Second bedroom: King bed or two single beds, plus a king single bunk. Both bedrooms include flat-screen TVs and split system air-conditioning. **Important Information:** - This is a private property; no motorbikes or horses are to be ridden on-site. - For safety reasons, guests are not permitted to walk in the paddocks or feed the animals. - Pets must be approved before booking. A cleaning fee applies for hairy or heavy-shedding dogs. Pets that stay outside during your entire visit are free of charge. **Horse Accommodation:** We offer two stables and a large yard in view of the lodge. Trickle Hill is a lovely cottage tucked away at the edge of our bush. You have your own little patio, and can go for adventurous walks straight from your living room ! We are close to Dandenong ranges, Yarra valley, Bunyip state park, and Puffing Billy. We are just behind Avalon castle- so great if you are attending a wedding We welcome couples, solo adventurers and families. We are of course LGBTI+ friendly! Dogs are very welcome. The cottage is a converted shed, with three bedrooms, a lovely living area and a cosy closed woodfire. We have a sheltered outdoor area, where you can have a barbeque, or have a small fire in a firedish. The cottage is in the bush, so you can walk out and try to find our resident breeding pair of Lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats, wallabies and kangaroos or the deer that live in our 'back yard'. Or just roam, which shouldn't be too hard on 67 acres . We are close to massive areas of bush with open trails. Dogs are very welcome- no cats. As we live in the bush, we do our best to keep everything as 'green' as we can- so please don't use harsh chemicals. Living in the bush brings with it that you cannot light a fire in fire danger periods, and, heating on a woodstove, means there is a hot stove in the room. (watch those little fingers...) Our aim is to give you a place of rest and enjoyment. We love to share our space as we love it here so much- and hope you love it too. As life is a project - don't expect 10* linen and luxury, state of the art gardens and clipped lawns, but a friendly welcoming atmosphere where you can be yourself and relax. We love to have visitors, and chat for a bit- or leave you to relax. The cottage is on the edge of the bush, where you are welcome to roam on the tracks or off them- at your own risk :-) We are both artists, and our studio's are close to the cottage, which might make some noise, but we'll try to keep it at a minimum when guests are here. The upside is, you could learn something if interested :-) (contact us for workshops) We have a working hobby farm- with some machinery, animals (pigs, dogs, horses, ducks and chickens). You can interact with the animals if you talk to us about safety first, but the horse paddock is out of bounds. ( they can behave unpredictable, are very large (!) and very valuable) Our dogs are very friendly and will most probably visit you. Our puppy still has lots to learn :-) Our property is stock- fenced, our animals will stay in, but dogs are able to roam if they are not staying with you. There is no secure yard to leave your dog during the day, you are expected to be in control of your dogs at all times. If they are ok with horses, chooks and dogs, and under voice command, they can be off leash. Dogs are not to sleep on the beds. We are a rural property with animals, and there are dams on the property, (not close to the cottage) so please keep an eye on children - we cannot take responsibility for your persons or animals. Living on a farm means that not everything is neat, safe, flat or person-proof. Often there is actual work being done involving machinery. Coming here is entirely at your own risk. (sorry for all the disclaimers...) But- of course- if there is anything we can do to make your visit more pleasurable, we will do our best to do so!

The cosy living area with garden views includes a fully equipped kitchenette with bench top oven and dishwasher. The stylish master bedroom boasts a tall raked ceiling providing a spacious ambiance. A unique, porthole window also doubles as a reading seat where you can while away the hours enjoying the view of the property. A plush velvet queen bed adds a touch of luxury. The second bedroom offers a bunk bed & a trundle bed the sleeps 3. The pièce de résistance is the stunning privately hedged terrace, offering an outdoor barbecue and beautiful sunsets all year round. If the outside temperature is below 25 or there hasn't been allot of sun, solar heating is usually not enough for a comfortable swim. We can use the electrical heating and the additional charge is $90 per day to guarantee a heated pool from 26-32 degrees. If this sounds like something you'd like, please book at least 7 days in advance as the heating will Be turned on 48 hours before your arrival. The property is amazing. Taylan met me at the entrance to give me directions and off I went. Campsite was very private on top of the hill. Taylan provided firewood which was more than enough on a cold autumn night. Heaps of stars, Roos and serenity. As described it’s a bit rocky so bring a good hammer for tent pegs. If it’s a bit wet outside make sure you have a capable vehicle otherwise it may prove a bit slippery with the hills and stones. Would recommend and will come again.

We stayed on a powered site in our motohome. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet. At night the stars were amazing with no light pollution. We failed to follow the directions. But a phone call to Taylan resolved our problem. New to Hip camp it was our fault. (Though two 78 year olds visiting from England are proud of our trip) This site is one we will treasure!

We had a great time at “catch a Yabby or two” we ended up catching 5! But released them back. Lovely spot for our pup as well. He loved sniffing around and dipping his paws in the water. The directions to get there were great and very clear. Luckily we brought our 4WD instead of our sedan as we don’t think it would’ve handled the terrain.

We enjoyed camping at the Creek Plains site. It was a bit dusty and dry but that's a given in summer. The fire, nearby creek (not flowing but swimmable in January), and wind in the trees was lovely. We even had some King Parrots visit us one morning. The drive in has some pretty sharp rocks in places so keep that in mind if you have low profile tyres. Was peaceful and nice and although there are plenty of trees we got a camper trailer in without any trouble.

We had an incredible stay here and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s one of my favourite places I have stayed this year, and I work in luxury travel :) The accomodation is beautiful, high end, luxury and included great amenities such as organic beauty products, a delicious breakfast hamper, nice towels and linens, laundry facilities, fully stocked kitchen, pizza oven, books, blankets, etc. My kids loved the friendly sheep and feeding the horses carrots. It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, and my only complaint was I wish we could have stayed longer than two nights!

Camped up on the hilltop with my family (2x adult and 3xkids) and we all love it! It has a flushed toilet that our kids didnt mind using! But the view is so beautiful! The road getting there is like a dirtroad and to enter the property theres a steep road and theres a normal road! We took our jeep wrangler 4x4 and also our range rover up there! Made it up just fine! Wasnt towing anything though! But highly recommend! So peaceful! It was abit windy when we were there but our 6x3 gazebo wasnt even damaged with all the wind! But love love love this place! And taylan was easy to communicate with! Thank you taylan for having us over! Will definitely come back!

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property & family.
