Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. 50 acres of beautiful country property with amazing views of Mt Cathedral and surrounding areas. 90 min drive NE of Melbourne, close to Marysville, Lake Mountain and Lake Eildon. There is plenty to do in the area including local wineries, olive farms, horse riding, bushwalking, mountain bike riding. The space is a campsite only, you may camp anywhere on the property, the host will guide you to the best spots. There are 2 dams and a seasonal creek. The driveway leads up a hill and then you can find your own space! Note there is no running water or power, BYO toilet. Small fires are allowed but you must clean up after your stay and local fire laws must be adhered to. Pets are most welcome but please ensure they don't disturb the cattle or wildlife!

Chris's place by the river is beautiful. The sound of the river and the birds was breathtaking. The grounds were extremely neat and tidy and the little hut was very quirky and interesting. We sat in there one afternoon when it got quite windy so it was very handy. Chris was very quick responding to any communication and very friendly.

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.

The place was right next to the National Park, so it was easy to access for walks. There was a lovely little walk along the creek too. The campsite itself was spacious and was great to have free wifi and power. Make sure you order the eggs and sourdough bread. They were absolutely delicious. Clara, the host, was lovely.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Flower Farm

Lovely spot, easy to find and plenty of room for our 5 caravans, 2 of which were 20ft in length. Peaceful and large grassy area. Tamara came to say hello to our group & talked about the local area & events. She was very welcoming. So nice to see the sheep & goats grazing in the paddocks. We had a choice of two large fire pits. Would definitely camp here again.

The campsite was big enough for our group with 4 tents and three cars. Robert was so generous, providing us firewood, power, a floodlight and he let us stay in the shed as it was non-stop rain. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. Reception is very limited. Two friendly dogs kept us company.

We had a great time at Ferny Glades. Clean and tranquil listening to the river while sitting around the campfire. Michael was helpful and upbeat. It was easy to find and we fitted our van there easily. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre. Being surrounded by such beautiful countryside, horses, roos and rabbits, it was beyond relaxing. We had a couple of great nights around the fire too. Jenny was the perfect host, taking care of us and chatting whilst our doggos played. Jenny's doggo, Whiz, is gorgeous. We'll definitely be back when we're exploring the Yarra Valley again. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend away staying at Rivers Run. Lovely quiet grassed area, with fire pit fully loaded and ready to go! Michelle was great with communication, and our dog had a lovely time with their beautiful and friendly dog. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot to get away.
