There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Amplified music is not allowed. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

The site is close enough to town to get excellent mobile coverage (and supplies!). There is a permanent picnic table on the site and nothing else. We only hire the site out to one group at a time, so you know you'll have the whole acre to yourself. A fire can be lit only in strict accordance with local restrictions, so be sure to check the current requirements. Barrm Birrm is a special place, full of wildlife and native vegetation, so we ask that you leave the place exactly as you found it. Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. We welcome everyone who would like to relax whilst respecting the environment and all fellow hipcampers. We are family and dog friendly, with the space for multiple families to camp together on our spacious sites. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRUNKEN AND/OR NOISY PARTYING!!! Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

Base price covers up to 8 people, with capacity capped at 12 people.  The land is characterised by rolling hills, covered by mostly open grassland, with patches of gum trees for shade, and a dam and creek. There's also a native eucalypt forest right across the road with miles of fire trails for walking and horse riding. In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Also, we do not allow hunting/shooting next door, if there is a group camping already.

We welcome everyone who would like to relax whilst respecting the environment and all fellow hipcampers. We are family and dog friendly, with the space for multiple families to camp together on our spacious sites. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRUNKEN AND/OR NOISY PARTYING!!! Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

My partner and I only stayed one night in our swag but had such a lovely time. It was great meeting the family and all the critters that call this island in the trees home. The property is easy to find and is in a great location to explore the surrounds. The two large sites spaced amongst the flowers were tidy and easy to access. Large fire pits great for a group to camp around in the cooler months. The proteas were out in all their glory and the ones we chose to take home made it all the way back to QLD and are still looking stunning weeks later! As we drove onto the property, I instantly felt like I could breathe — it was absolutely beautiful. We stayed at the Creek Flat site, which was perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The host was very friendly and happily answered all our questions, which made the stay even easier. The property is large, with plenty of wildlife and farm animals wandering around, adding to the charm. We only stayed for two nights but truly wished we could have stayed longer.

This site offers plenty of open space to safely have a campfire. Plenty of fallen branches and trees to cut up for firewood. Or purchase wood from the local food works, closing at 7pm OR the servo closing at 9pm. This site is on a 105-acre farm, with a private spring water swimming hole, water can be collected from the running water spring. The farm is home to a mob of kangaroos, please watch from a distance. You will also spot and hear wild deer. The site does have plenty of grassed area, but we will let you know there is a bit of black berry bushes that we will start removing over time. (This area we cannot use chemicals close to the water ways.) We have 2 goats Eve & Rain to help with the weeds and greeting our guests. This site has a lot of history from bottling water from the old factory, (no longer in use), Potatoe and berry farming and raising sheep. You will feel so relaxed in a private and tranquil site. We manage 2 sites on this farm and 2 sites on the neighboring farm. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm No market in January. The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain. A mix of unpowered & powered sites for self contained RVs Motor Homes and caravans with camp kitchen, level sites and open fires when conditions allow. Power is limited to some sites with 10 Amp outlets only (15 Amp to 10 Amp adapter will work). Smaller vehicles and campers may request to stay in the Orchard next to the main house (10 Amp power outlet) and for an extra $10 per person per night have access to the bathroom in the farmhouse. Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala. With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce. Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min. We look forward to saying hi soon!

The property is defined by an ancient water course that cuts a 1km ravine through the property. During the winter the dry boulder-strewn gorge is transformed with waterfalls and cascades along its length and regardless of the season transports you to another time and place. There is limited solar power (enough for phones and laptops) and low flow water (enough to brush your teeth). Neither is guaranteed to be available. A wood stove heats the hut, boils the kettle and cooks your dinner; firewood is included. An open outdoor bathroom includes a sink, bath and drop toilet. Hot water is available but not promised. The hut is fenced and well-behaved dogs are welcome. This property is suited to resourceful guests who are familiar with lighting fires, swinging an axe and understanding rural courtesies. The abundance of wildlife is used to peace so if you are taking a dog with you then please keep it within eyesight and always under your control.
