Our empty and unused dairy has space available out the front for up to 3, fully self contained vans (no tents) Located on the edge of the picturesque town of Buln Buln postcode 3821 (not Moe) take in views of rolling green hills and heritage listed oak trees while the gentle cattle and sheep graze nearby paddocks. We have access to power and river water on all three sites (not suitable for drinking) but no toilet so your vehicle must be fully self contained. One site is a drive through concrete slab, the other two are grassed sites. The grassed sites are next to each other and the slab site is on the opposite site of the driveway. There is a free public dump point available at Neerim South (a 10 minute drive north) 10 minutes drive to the larger township of Warragul. Mount Worth State Park is 13km from our property and Lyrebird Forest Walk Regional Park is 26km just outside Mirboo North. While there's a lot to do around these parts, my guess is you won't want to leave the property.

If you're a fit walker, you can hike up to the back of the property that borders an old pine plantation now full of regrowth where herds of deer call it home. At the right time of day, you're likely to see all kinds of water fowl in the damns around the property. And if you're lucky, our 3 alpaca will let you photograph them as they stare you down, but no cuddles for these guys -- they're there to keep the foxes away. Night time is magical. With no light pollution, it's a stargazers paradise and on a still evening you'll hear boobooks, possums and frogs. The popular tourist village of Yarragon is 16km down a winding unsealed road one way, while the larger town of Mirboo North is about the same distance going the other way. Mount Worth State Park is 13km from our property and Lyrebird Forest Walk Regional Park is 26km just outside Mirboo North. While there's a lot to do around these parts, my guess is you won't want to leave the property.

A simple stopover for a night or two for just one vehicle on a designated site. Easy access on a sealed road, 10 minutes from the towns of Drouin and Warragul. Just 3 minutes drive to Lardner Park, a site for field days, markets and festivals. No water, power or dump point so fully self-sufficient vans and motorhomes only. (Nearest dump point is Warragul Gardens Caravan Park). Our site is best suited to caravans, motorhomes and campervans. Single slide out vans will fit, but not enough width for double slide outs. Gravel base not good for pegging tents and camper trailers. When you enter the property your site is immediately to the right. Drive in forwards or back in, whichever suits your setup best. Occasional road noise. We are in a rural area. Your site has an outlook over paddocks. Please note: you have access to your site only- not the whole property. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The tiny home is set on stunning landscape, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The views are incredible, and the sunsets were a real highlight. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The tiny home itself is very well equipped, with everything you need. One of the highlights of the property is the walk through the property. It’s absolutely amazing, and I highly encourage everyone to take the time to explore it. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and would happily return.

1 night at Cannavale Farm Stay

The camping space is attractive with views north and west; good sunsets. There was afternoon shade available next to a gum tree. Both Shelly and Craig were warm hosts, friendly and supportive. It is close to the Princes Highway that it is easy to access. The camping block has a gentle slope and the grass is cut. We would recommend this to any campers and would gladly return. Thanks Shelly and Craig.

1 night at Cannavale Farm Stay

We had a fantastic overnight stay at Cannavale Farm Stay and couldn’t fault it. The site itself was spacious, grassy and easy to access, with plenty of room to get set up comfortably. It felt nicely spread out and private, with beautiful open views across the surrounding farmland. Super peaceful and quiet, especially in the evening. The farm setting is lovely. Waking up to the sounds of cattle and the countryside was a real highlight and exactly what we were looking for in a farm stay. It’s close enough to town to be convenient, but once you’re there it really feels like a proper escape. Hosts were welcoming and the property is well maintained. If you’re self-contained and after a relaxed, no-fuss farm stay with space, views and a calm rural vibe, this place is a great option. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful time at Susan's campsite. The location is stunning and the campsite is very well equipped with an outdoor kitchen area, a fire pit, an outdoor table and benches and a hut with a table and chairs. The hut was perfect for playing cards while it was raining. Also the campsite is very private. We fell in love with the landscape: green rolling hills, gorgeous-looking cows, and pristine rainforest. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful property. And being able to bring our dog was a big +. We will be back. The toolshed at Noojie is a great spot to have dinner. ❤️🐮🦆

The campsites are scattered across lovely gently rolling fields and all have a fire pit and a view (either down the valley or across the dam). We had Site 2 looking over the dam which was great and must be stunning in summer and if the dam is full. Access is easy and well sign posted.

Rob has an amazing property surrounded by natural bushland. Making it feel remote whilst still only being 10km's from the freeway. The infrastructure already available at Creek Camp was so thoughtfully laid out such as the lighting in the trees, the deck overhanging the forest, festoons draped beautifully and the outdoor cover of the wonder little shed. Rob and family were a delight to meet and be around, very thoughtful offerings and care managing the land and that your group will have the best time possible.

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

First awake at camp is a special time. Day breaks with the chorus of waterhen, Wonga Pigeon and kookaburra, backed by pobblebonk and the odd snuffling of the cows. Alone? Not with this crowd 🤩.

Where to go

Wilsons Promontory National Park

East of Inverloch, the wild beaches and windswept sea cliffs of Wilsons Promontory National Park afford plenty of ways to escape the crowds. Hike to the viewpoints of Mount Oberon and Mount Bishop, explore the Big Drift sand dunes, or pitch a tent in the wilderness. There’s also a camping area with BBQs, an amenities block, and a camp kitchen at Tidal River.

South Gippsland

The 12-km coastal drive from Inverloch to Cape Paterson serves up some of South Gippsland’s most dramatic ocean views, hugging the sea cliffs of the Bunurong Marine National Park. Hop out to admire natural wonders such as the Eagles Nest, Flat Rocks, and The Caves, and park your motorhome at a rural Hipcamp along the way. Further west, dive into Victoria’s coal mining history at Wonthaggi, go bird-watching around the Wonthaggi Wetlands Reserve, or hike the George Bass Coastal Walk from Kilcunda.

Phillip Island

Dangling off the southwestern tip of Gippsland, Phillip Island is best known for its colonies of Little Penguins and draws a steady stream of day-trippers from Melbourne. The best way to witness the sunset Penguin Parade is by staying the night, so snag a spot at one of the island’s holiday parks, Hipcamps, or glampsites. With extra time on the island, you can also stop at Seal Rocks, hike the Cape Woolamai Walk, and visit the Koala Conservation Centre.

When to go

It’s warm enough for swimming and water sports at Gippsland’s beaches from late spring through early autumn, but avoid the peak summer months (Dec-Jan) if you don’t like crowds. March is an ideal compromise and also sees the town host its annual Inverloch Jazz Festival. Winter weather can be wet and cold, although it rarely dips below freezing, and this is the time to spot migrating whales along the coast.
