We are situated 800 mtrs down a well-made dirt road off the Mansfield/Whitfield Road. Only a 30 min drive to some of the most renowned wineries and food regions in Victoria. Or a 25 minute drive to Mansfield, which has great shopping, or yummy places to go to eat and drink. For Winter months, skiing is close by as well! Please contact us if you are a fly fisherperson our dam is well stocked with trout but only for use on request and with an extra cost, a great place for a fly fishing club (catch & release). Easy access for all vehicles/vans/trailers. Flat area. No power or toilet so campers must have everything and leave no trace.

It has been a few years since we stopped hosting campers at Samsons Gully, but we're back and looking forward to meeting new and old friends. Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it. We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property. Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

Settled in the foothills of the Great Divide this 200 hectare working farm has available bush settings for camping. The property is adjacent to the Samaria State Park containing walking tracks and remnants of past logging activities. The Kelly Tree at Stringybark Creek is a short drive away. Also nearby is the Tatong Tavern which has a lovely country feel and serves meals seven nights a week. For film lovers the renowned Swanpool Cinema is a 15 minute drive away. Your campsite is nestled into a bush setting in a quiet corner of the property offering peaceful enjoyment of the sounds of the forest. The creek has several water holes suitable for fishing and swimming. Nearby attractions include Lake Nillahcootie and the historic township of Tolmie. Further afield there are wineries at Millawa and Taminick. Glenrowan township is close by and offers access to another wine region and the site of Ned Kelly's last stand.

So much to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries. A key feature is the irrigation keep parts of the farm and many campsites green all year round.Jackaleah is approximately 2.5 hrs north of Melbourne and only minutes drive to quality restaurants and wineries in the local area. It has view to the surrounding mountains and is well set up for family stays or larger groups attending events, or just for that weekend get away.There is no toilet available here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace.Pets welcome, but must remain on leash.

The camp was so nice! The river is beautiful and the cows are so close!! We stayed at rocky River with hammocks. Toilets are long drops very clean and well maintained! Hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Our plans change a few times and they had nothing but positive and helpful things to say! We will for sure be back for a longer stay soon!

Great spot, the site we stayed at felt quite private. Both Ian and Patrick were great and easy to communicate with. The river was flowing a little too fast for us to jump in due to a huge amount of rain being dropped around Victoria the day before we rocked up but that can happen! The site had drained really well though, and we had no trouble getting in.

Great set up, four spots to choose from all have their Plus side. Hosts great have prepared all the areas well. Fishing is good, caught many cod all undersize and released but good fun. Town not far but away from lights and noise.

We had the loveliest stay at Ginny & Garry’s campsite. This was a very spacious & secluded campsite, a little drive away from the others. The property is very well looked after & Ginny was so lovely & accomodating. They have thought about everything you may possibly need from free firewood to a kiosk full of items you may need during your stay from ice, to milk, to jam & eggs and the list goes on. There’s also two showers, a kitchen and toilets. Everything is very accessible! If you’re staying at corner camp, you’ll need to drive down to this area which worked out fine for us. We had the most delightful time camping here & we’ll definitely be back!

This place is an absolute gem! From Ginnie, to the camp site, to the honey they sell, everything is fantastic. The campsite is isolated but only a couple hundred metres from the toilets and showers. The amenities block is perfect with drinks/food to buy at great prices and the water is steaming hot in the showers. Ginnie was so lovely and friendly! We will 100% be back!

What a beautiful and secluded location right on the river.. We enjoyed meeting the farm animals and waking up in the morning to birdsong. Charles recommended a drive up the hill to watch the sunset and whilst we were too early for the sunset it is a view worth driving for.. we will be back.

The best hosts you could meet. Their place is gorgeous and they are so welcoming. The facilities are great. We got fresh farm eggs, fire wood and even some supplied from their small kiosk on site. Our kids loved feeding the farm animals. Overall an amazing experience, will be coming back and bringing friends with us to experience it :)
