A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, camping and fires are only allowed in designated camping areas due to rehabilitation of river frontage large trees and flash flooding, at all sites you cannot camp or have fires in fenced off river frontage, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, you will have to provide your own, shower, water, etc, all sites have access to a site toilet, take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, if having trouble booking or any other inquiries please send message cheers John.

We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put.
For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you.
Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for.
A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing.
Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed.
What is available off farm?
Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins.
If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time.
East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area.

A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, camping and fires are only allowed in designated camping areas due to rehabilitation of river frontage large trees and flash flooding, at all sites you cannot camp or have fires in fenced off river frontage, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, you will have to provide your own, shower, water, etc, all sites have access to a site toilet, take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, if having trouble booking or any other inquiries please send message cheers John.

We border the Mitchell river with the farm so there are about 1 km of secluded banks to sit or swim from if you want to just stay put.
For those wanting pure relaxation, meditation, and soul grounding. We can personally show you some tremendous places on the farm to go within. Pure solace is something that many take for granted. Use our pyramid to draw in Quantum/etheric energy, go to the top of our crystal hill and feel the energies. There is so much to be thankful for when you can release in these spaces. Alternatively sit amongst the cows and feel their energy surround you as their curious nature brings them in closer and closer until they relax around you.
Alternatively if you want to chill with a beer on the river bank and try for some bass, or watch the eastern water dragons play in the sun and water, then that’s a great way to unwind, or soak up the sun rays as it drops below the horizon on the crystal hill or rolling flood plains. A personal favourite of a campfire and a few drinks with the stars is a great way to unwind when you have so much space and privacy. The sites are located next to our rental lodge where we sometimes do retreats, or holiday let it as well. The privacy is wonderful if that's what you are looking for.
A walk each morning from one end of the farm where you will stay to the other and back is a leisurely 2kms so maybe that is your morning start, but walk the lanes and check the fences and cows while you're at it please 🙂, ticks a job for us while your relaxing.
Want to learn about the history of the area? Well a session with us will teach you everything didn't know about the Dargo High Plains, the mountain cattlemen of the high country and much more. Take advantage of your time to enjoy the history of the area and the wonderful past times enjoyed.
What is available off farm?
Number one, the pub with great counter meals is across the river, 5kms away. Lindenow Farmers Hotel is iconic in its design and history, the reputed Lindenow Long Paddock Cafe is also a few hundred metres from the pub, and the Post Office and Store have all your essentials. Need a few more things? Bairnsdale is 24kms away from the farm and offers all you need. Lakes Entrance is about 40 mins for a day out on the beach. Paynesville around 30 mins.
If you want to venture up into the mountains then why not go through Dargo just 45 mins and up onto Mt Hotham (Summer only) via the Dargo High Plains. It’s a great track and on occasions I take people up for a guided tour and secret camp spots on my yearly run up there for my own relax time.
East Gippsland in general is a wonderful region to stop and relax during all seasons but especially summer with the water activities available, the camping in the high country, and the markets that abound the area.

A relaxed coastal camping spot at Paradise Beach, just one street back from access to the stunning Ninety Mile Beach. The beach is ideal for fishing, long walks, and enjoying peaceful sunrises and sunsets. Local wildlife is often seen in the area, adding to the natural coastal feel.
The campsite is a flat clearing and gentle slope to the road with some surrounding trees offering light shelter. There is space to drive in with vans, as well as additional tents, shelters, seating, and a small firepit is provided for a campfire where fire restrictions permit.

Vehicles can be parked on the grassed area close to the van, with easy access to the campsites.
🔹 Self-Contained Camping
This is a fully self-contained site. There is no power, water, sewage, washing facilities, or potable water. Guests must take all rubbish with them, including food scraps and cigarette butts.
🔹 Quiet Enjoyment
This site is for quiet enjoyment only, particularly in the evenings, as sound carries easily in the area.
🔹 Pets
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under control at all times.
🔹 Insects
Mosquitoes can be common due to nearby lakes—insect repellent is strongly recommended.
🔹 Nearby Amenities
Golden Beach (5 min drive) has a general store, takeaway food, bathrooms/showers for a small fee and dump point. Loch Sport is around 25 minutes away, and Sale is approximately 30 minutes away.

Scott has provided an exceptional Hipcamp. Very private, securely locked entrance, beautiful bush setting, picnic table, sink, BBQ, huge fire pit with wooden seating for a larger number, cut wood (donation), bush shower and potable water. As it had been raining, the lengthy hose also came in useful to clear our groundsheet.

Clancy Springs is a wonderful stay. Nice and peaceful in the rolling South Gippy hills, with beautiful views across the countryside. The hosts are simply lovely. Thanks to Sandy for showing us around and taking the kids to see the water dragons! The camp set up is great, with plenty of space, a great camp kitchen and facilities. 15-20mins from Leongatha and Inverloch. It's not the wild (it's a farm stay!), but it's a great farm stay and I highly recommend. Many thanks to our gracious hosts for being helpful and accommodating. We will be back!

One of the best Hipcamp sites we’ve used. Very private with plenty of clear flat ground to pitch a tent. Next to creek with clean running water for refreshing bush wash. Excellent fire pit and toilet. The hosts, Joanne & Joe are friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Fabulous location close to local attractions like Den of Nargun and Final Fling on Mitchell River. Luxuries like a covered kitchen, running tap water and a hot shower at the end of the day make it a very enjoyable stay. Tony is an amazing host. Would definitely return to explore more of this wonderful side of Gippsland.

Mike was a great host ! The property was lovely situated across from the river with lovely walks and to be able to go kayaking , play tennis with all these provided by Mike was such a bonus!

Helens property is lovely, as it was a long weekend it actually felt like an unpowered caravan park site without amenities, it had almost double the amount of vans/tents than the ad stated ( eg. 13 sites, but over 20 vans etc ) so not a lot of room between campersNot really my liking of a hipcamp feel this time.
Would I return on another weekend ( not public holiday ) absolutely, would love to come back.
