Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West. We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. My partner and I only stayed one night in our swag but had such a lovely time. It was great meeting the family and all the critters that call this island in the trees home. The property is easy to find and is in a great location to explore the surrounds. The two large sites spaced amongst the flowers were tidy and easy to access. Large fire pits great for a group to camp around in the cooler months. The proteas were out in all their glory and the ones we chose to take home made it all the way back to QLD and are still looking stunning weeks later! Thank you very much Tamara and family for a great night away 😊🌱

This place is just perfect if you want a getaway from the city and really experience what camping feels like. The host was also very kind, and I would come back without thinking twice. One thing I do recommend is bringing your own grill, because the ones they provide are rusty and it’s not a good idea to cook something like a barbecue on them.

The place was right next to the National Park, so it was easy to access for walks. There was a lovely little walk along the creek too. The campsite itself was spacious and was great to have free wifi and power. Make sure you order the eggs and sourdough bread. They were absolutely delicious. Clara, the host, was lovely.

Lovely spot, easy to find and plenty of room for our 5 caravans, 2 of which were 20ft in length. Peaceful and large grassy area. Tamara came to say hello to our group & talked about the local area & events. She was very welcoming. So nice to see the sheep & goats grazing in the paddocks. We had a choice of two large fire pits. Would definitely camp here again.

Nobody else in site. Plenty of room if other campers arrive (no need to camp right on top of each other lile I've experienced elsewhere). The Little River pub is not far away and the do awesome beef ribs and cold beers. Cheers
