The property is nestled on 32 acres of a natural rural landscape of trees, wetlands with Westernport Bay and Churchill Island views unique to Banksia Park’s location. There are the untouched wetlands, TiTree walks and abundant Wallabies, Cape Barren geese, Purple Hens, Pelicans and Bandicoots
The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running.
Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking
Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. If needed, late check in within daylight hours can be arranged subject to our availability.

The property is the bush refuge corner of a larger grazing property. Whilst sheep and cattle graze on one side of the fence, the wildlife grazing on "our" side includes echidnas, wombats, wallabies, possums, koalas, and is home to more than 30 species of birds identified so far.
Tarwin Lower EcoStudio is not far out of town and the Tarwin River (4 kms), for boating, paddling and fishing. Slightly further afield is Andersen Inlet (great fishing, paddling, paddle boarding, boating, and shallow waters for very young children), Venus Bay Surf beaches, and Walkerville South bay beach (with boat ramp). Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory less than an hour's drive away. And that's just the water sports.
The Great Southern Rail Trail is just up the road, at Koonwarra or Leongatha, and has a range of rides with varying degrees of challenge.
The Eco Studio itself is completely off grid, built from reclaimed and recycled materials, as part of our commitment to living lightly. There is an outdoor kitchen, and composting toilet, and our home garden (we live on the property too) is often abundant and the fresh organic produce is for sale for our visitors.

We had a wonderful stay on Brooke’s property! It was peaceful, private, and well appointed with a fire pit, 4 stumps for seats/foot rests, a swing for kiddos, picnic table, recycling and waste bins, and optional water refill. The land is beautiful and had a short walk to the paddock through the bushes where we saw lots of kangaroos and had a bench to enjoy the scenery.
Brooke was very accommodating and let our daughters collect some of the eggs we had purchased (which were delicious!) and gave us some things from her garden to try~ Perfect place to explore Inverloch town center and the local natural wonders. Also a great spot to launch for a day trip to Wilson’s Prom which is only ~1hr away.

I loved camping here!!
Originally booked 1 night just needing somewhere to stay with my doggoes, due to having to be in the area the next day for something that came up at short notice. Arrived very late that night but no hassle finding the place due to the host's very clear and helpful instructions. I liked the camp site so much I booked a 2nd night so I could have a little time enjoying the place - quiet, peaceful and private, with a picnic table, fire-pit, beautiful surroundings and plenty of wildlife, etc... it was way to nice just to use as a quick stopover! Many thanks Brooke and fam for sharing your lovely property dor others to enjoy 🥰.

For first time tent campers, this was a perfect spot. The atmosphere was great, toilet was clean, and the 5 min drive away from the beach was the cherry on top. 10/10!
As for the hosts, they’re superb. Their instructions to finding the area and using the facilities were very clear, and they even gave a heads up for us regarding the weather which we think is very thoughtful of them. They even moved us to a safer spot just because it was windy.

Lovely spot with great views and peaceful surrounds, large sites so you have some options of how/where you want to set up, open space or sheltered, etc. I only stayed a night midweek and had the place to myself, but even if there had been campers on the other sites, they were big enough for myself and 3 doggoes to spread out a bit and not be a bother, or feel too close, to anyone else. Great communication from hosts making sure I had no trouble finding the place, which I managed to do easily despite arriving after dark. Would definitely stay again. Thank you 🙏
