There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

Lilydale is predominately dairy and cattle country with several vineyards nearby including Jansz, Clover Hill and Pipers Brook to name a few. We are just a two minute drive or 20 minute walk from Lilydale township and centrally located to lots of activities and sightseeing. Activites include hiking Mount Arthur, visiting Lilydale Falls, Hollybank Adventures for zip lining, high ropes and Segways and Derby is an hour away for all your mountain biking trails. There is also fishing, swimming and boating at Bridport. Launceston is an easy 20 minutes drive. If you are lucky whilst here you may get to see the wedge tail eagles that call Mount Arthur home along with lots of other wild life including wallabies, possums and an abundance of bird life. I'm a private, quiet person who works from home therefore I am around should you have any questions, but also will leave you in peace to enjoy the space privately. Camp out on our 25-acre farm and animal sanctuary in the fertile valley of Preolenna, in Tassie's lovely north-west. Here, we grow sunflowers, potatos and other vegetables. We enjoy welcoming guests to camp or to stay in one of our vacation rentals on the property. And guests love staying here! They particularly enjoy the meandering bush walks that lead to lakes and hidden waterfalls. Campers have access to power and excellent sweet and soft well water, as well as toilet facilities. Access for all types of vehicles is good, with plenty of space to turn around. This is a farm animal sanctuary so guests are asked to respect animals by not cooking them here. We appreciate your respect in this regard. Japa Hill makes for a safe base to explore the region, with Boat Harbour just 30 minutes drive away and Cradle Mountain two hours away. The Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal is just 74 minutes drive away.

Situated on the Arthur highway, walking distance to the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, Taranna Chocolate Factory and backed onto Rosedale farm is this small lovely flat block with 3 tent/caravan/motor home sites. Just 5 minutes drive to the Lavender Cafe and 9 minutes to the Port Arthur historic site. This is a great little stopover, for those who need a cheap, easy place to stay. Toilet and power is available upon request. Campers are asked to take all their waste and rubbish with them on departure.
