Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather dependant. Daisy Hill Conservation Park is also a short drive away which is a great spot for a picnic and offers mountain bike trails, walking tracks and a BBQ area. Moreton bay access is also close by with a short drive to either Victoria Point, Cleveland or Redland Bay. In addition, the property has beautiful walking trails. Campfires permitted however must be kept within the allocated fire pit and must be outside of restrictions. You must have portable toilet and be fully self-sufficient. All waste to be removed by campers upon departure. We would like to preserve this site for all future campers so please ensure that you abide by our rules. Generators welcomed, to be switched off between 10pm and 7am. Please be mindful of loud music after 10pm - please adhere to this request else you may be asked to leave. Lots of fire wood , Friendly host (sorry tish i left a big log i firepit , haill storm put out my fire fast) Entrance or should i say exit was a challenge in a slwb van but i made it up 3 times. (6 goes) . lots of privacy and plenty of room I took a walk up to see other sites and they were just as good and secluded just no lake. Such a beautiful location with fantastic views! The horses just added that extra farm stay touch and made you feel like such a part of nature. We were unlucky enough to get caught in some big storms but the property was so well maintained it didnt affect us at all and no issues getting the caravan in and out. It was very windy though so don't make the same mistake we did by putting the awning out if the weather isn't 100%! Overall very private and relaxing location and only 10 minutes out from Dayborough. Will definitely be back.

Our beautiful farm is located beside the Logan River and is a little natural oasis close to everything. The campsites offer lush green grass and are set on the bank of the Logan river where you can go fishing. We have a boat ramp that you can use to put your boat, kayak or jet ski in. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish wth them on departure. There are fire pits available for guests to enjoy, please check local restrictions before lighting a fire. Firewood is available $35 for a full wheelbarrow. We have a tennis court that you can rent depending on availability, we also have equipment for hire, if your interested please ask us for prices. Our farm has chickens, ducks, goats and guinea pigs. The Farm Stay experience is what we are all about, we welcome you to experience the joys of farm life, meet the horses and join in at feeding times and egg collecting. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access. Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield. You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves. Supermarket, bottle shop, takeaways, cafe and pharmacy less that 4 km away. Campfires are permitted. Firewood is available as an 'extra' for $20, please go to 'extras' to add to your booking alterantively purchase on arrival. Power (10amp) and drinkable water is available close to campsite. Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. UPDATE as of late July 2025 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. Kerry Valley Secret - Stockyard Creek, Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites in the Scenic Rim are exclusive bush campsites - once you have booked no-one else will be able to camp at that site - and they are perfect for groups! The Stockyard Creek Campsite is situated on the babbling Stockyard Creek and there is a short walk to the bigger Albert River waterhole. This pretty spot features Silky Oaks and Ironwood trees, views to Luke's Bluff and Ding Bing falls in Lamington National Park, has plenty of shade for tents and a huge space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in. The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite and you are able to wander the 2km of river frontage while fishing. They have easy access off the main Kerry Road. Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River. Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park. Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River. Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided). Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest. All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table. Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

The location is on a large body of water on the river and is home to numerous turtles, freshwater fish, eastern water dragons, eagles regularly overhead and keen spotters will see the family of platypus. - Kayaks are available for use - No toilet/shower facilities available so you will need to BYO - No power available - BYO firewood - Not suitable for boats which can't be carried as no boat ramp - Behaved dogs welcome on leash - No firearms/motorbikes permitted - 3 vehicle maximum Access: Heavy rain limits access but we are happy to help if you get stuck or cancellation needed. Vehicle's - you will be driving through 800m of undulating paddocks, SUV's no problems, low sedan's less suitable. Caravan's - the camping spot is perfect for caravan's however we would recommend a off-road caravans for best access.

Haigslea Haven Bush Camping is located 45 minutes west of Brisbane, just 2.8 km off the Warrego Highway. Our 45-acre property features a seasonal creek and a large dam. We offer both creekside campsites and more private sites nestled among the trees. With easy access for all vehicles, we can comfortably accommodate even the largest of rigs. Guests can enjoy a rustic camp kitchen equipped with a BBQ, pizza oven, fridge, and a communal fire pit. Personal fires are permitted but must be contained within designated fire pits. Firewood may be collected from the ground. At this stage, we can only offer self-contained camping. Please note there is no potable water available on site. We welcome pets, provided they are well-behaved and restrained. The Sundowner Saloon and the Bottletree Hotel are both within five minutes for a cheeky beer or counter meal, while the Fernvale Pie Shop, rail trail, and dump point are just 10 km down the road.
