Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. Settle into this serene country property just minutes from the township of Toogoolawah, known lovingly as 'Wah. Our 5 acre ‘farmlet’ features range a vistas and amazing sunsets. The outdoor pavillion is the perfect place to relax and feel the cool breezes in summer under the festoon lights. We have on offer drinking water, toilet/shower amenities, a sheltered pavillion, BBQ, rubbish facilities and picnic table area. Unfortunately water is scarce here so we ask you to be vigilant with your water use, and you're very welcome to bring your own water supply. We live in the farmhouse on the property. This campsite is a designated "quiet camp" so you can enjoy the frog and cricket sounds at night as you prepare for a great night's rest. Just 1.5km from the farm (on Morden Rd) you will find the 161km Rail Trail for bike riders and walkers. A few mins down the road you can enjoy walks with llamas at the Ottaba Llama Walk farm. When in town why not visit the architectural award winning Condensery Art Gallery which used to be a Nestle condensed milk factory.
