Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. We were on Grey Gums site. Lovely campsite - plan to stay again! Huge space allocated - could fit multiple families. Each site has a fire pit. Creek was clean and lovely to swim in morning and afternoon. Loved seeing the horses galloping in the paddock just 30m away. Kids loved the animal petting - chickens, Guinea pig, blue tongue lizard, turkey, pony ride! Felt very private and relaxing with so much space around us.

Great place, stayed for five nights as this was our second time, lovely big swimming dam with a board jump, kids would love it, there is little running creek, more so when rain has been, very pieceful, a few marsh flies, Jacinta and jason are lovely. We will be back.

Location, peacefulness and serenity were fabulous. Stayed one night during the week and had the place to ourselves, except for 2 lovely, friendly dogs to keep us company. While the toilet facilities "seem" rustic at first they work extremely well, however we unfortunately did not have enough time to try out the "donkey" shower but hope to if we stop there again. Check in process was simple, just provide your info at the kiosk and go find a place to camp. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend for those that like it quiet and rustic.

Loved our week here beside the creek with plenty of afternoon shade from the creekside trees in some very hot weather with still plenty of sun for the solar. We loved our daily visits from the friendly horses and donkey who Loves a pat and made us laugh. The site was a little tricky to get in to with our 16' van down the steepish driveway then a sharp left through a gate, and a bit of work to get the van positioned and levelled at the creekside site, but well worth it once in there and set up to relax and unwind with it being very quiet and just the sounds of nature and country life, all while only being a short drive into town.

The views were absolutely incredible! Despite the campground being fully booked, it was wonderfully quiet the entire time. The hosts were lovely and incredibly welcoming; they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our stay. Imbil is such a lovely little town and super close for a little outing too. We were hoping for a peaceful, relaxing weekend surrounded by beautiful scenery, and that’s exactly what we got.

Absolutely stunning. The property is beautiful, well maintained in a stunning part of the world. The campsites are well spaced out which means it feels quite private and is very peaceful. The river is beautiful. Great for a dip and a kayak. The free kayaks were amazing. A great way to spend some time slowly seeing the area. Dog friendly which is great. Lots of nice walks in the property including a view point We can’t wait to go back. Definitely go and check it out. Brian is super lovely and showed us to our site.

Weekend Trip to Prime Mary River Camping

Loved our camping experience at this hipcamp!! Great location on the Mary River, plenty of space between the campsites so your not jammed in and listening to your neighbours conversations!! Only a 10 minute drive from Gympie if you have to grab some last minute items you had forgotten to grab. Great access to the river if you bring a kayak for a paddle or even just go for a swim in the river. We will definitely put this campsite on our favourites list and will camp there again. Access is great for caravans too, we took our 22’6” ban there and was able to get in and out without any bother. Probably wouldn't take a 2wd and caravan there if there has been a lot of rain as there is a considerable grass hill to negotiate when leaving the campsite, although I didn't need to engage 4wd to get out in dry weather

My family and I loved camping at lake view camping. It was great for the whole family, kids loved swimming, husband loved fishing and stand up paddle boarding, myself and baby loved the beautiful sunsets on the dam and we all enjoyed the restaurant across the lakes for dinner. Was very quiet and set up so close to the dam. Loved our two night here.
