For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also. Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have Souvineers and firewood please bring cash 😍 Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running. Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉 Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe. Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties. Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience. 6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

If you prefer a quieter spot, I make it a priority to assign campers the farthest firepit, Camp 4, nestled deep in the bush, providing you with a peaceful retreat away from any noise. Additionally I'm delighted to offer electricity to all camps, ensuring your comfort and convenience during your stay. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. I suggest U bring wood for the ist night, In case it has rained & saves the hassle first up allowing U to chill out sooner 🥂 Well behaved pets welcome, but they must be kept under control and you must pick up after them. We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion. For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water. There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST! Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. I suggest U bring wood for the ist night, In case it has rained & saves the hassle first up allowing U to chill out sooner 🥂 Well behaved pets welcome, but they must be kept under control and you must pick up after them. Lovely, secluded camping amongst the trees! Close proximity to Howard. Plenty of space for caravan and vehicle. We loved getting up close with the farm animals - a couple of shetlands, very cute calves, goats, including the baby goat 😍 and the chickens. Peaceful and relaxing spot, and the hosts Susan and Vincent are very welcoming and lovely to chat to.

We had a great time. Very private and a lovely place to while away the hours. Excellent directions and support from the host made this an ideal weekend get away. We will definitely look at returning. The site was huge and we had no problem manoeuvring our caravan into the spot. The dogs loved wandering on lead around the river edge. Thanks so much for having us. We really enjoyed the stay.

7 nights at Peaceful Riverside Camping
The local Barramundi Whisperer caught a 94cm pearla the first day we arrived. I jest you not. The cows are friendly and kept the grounds perfectly mowed. The fireflies come out at sunset and are mesmerising as they dance across the river only to be snapped up by the plentiful fish. Each night the campsites went quiet to the crackle of campfires after a bit of laughter and singing. Other guests are kind, generous and a pleasure to chat with. The host was very helpful. Trev made us feel welcome and safe without being imposing. The kids and pets had lots of room to play, ride their bikes, climb trees and get back in tune with nature. We intended to stay for a 1 week working holiday but ended up staying for 3 weeks for rest and recuperation. The stay did us so much good that we invited others to join us who also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. This is an excellent all round Hipcamp destination that we are sure to return to. Thank you for letting us stay.

It was easy to park our caravan and hook up to power on a lush grassy site. The view was glimpses of the the Kolan river surrounded by a variety of trees and natural bush. The amenities were very private separate rooms. The toilets were well done and very clean. The showers worked great! We were able to kayak from an area below the campsites. We had the place to ourselves and it was so quiet and relaxing.

Wrinkles camp is only one site, so no neighbours, with over 10 acres to access other areas for walking or bird watching. We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums. Please note: no late arrivals after 6pm please.

On our 28 acre property you have access to an extremely large dam for your water toys ( non powered) and mowed walking tracks all over the property. Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw.Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.

100 secluded acres located on the Gregory River approximately 15 minutes from Buxton township. The property is nestled amongst thousands of acres of national park for bush walkers an explorers. Guests need to be fully self contained and no toilets are on site. Access to the Gregory river enables fishing from the bank and a spot to place a crab pot to secure a local feed of fish or mud crab. There is also the option to put a kayak into the river from the bank. Campsites are located approximately 100m from the river bank so only a short walk to the water. Despite there being some snags, I have caught some very decent fish and crabs all from the property. For those wanting to spend a day on the water, I can guide guests in my boat to help land one of the many metre barramundi that call the river home. There are approximately 15 native beehives on the property and I am happy to show guests inside some hives as well as how to locate some in the wild for the interested bushwalkers and nature lovers. The property does not have power, water or toilets so please plan ahead. Significant rainfall can also make accessibility an issue along the 1km driveway so I would recommend a 4 wheel drive, however if it is dry a 2WD would be fine.
