We stayed in our swag with our doggos. Bebe was a lovely host, very friendly and great communication. Dog friendly site, great walks and an amazing view up the top! Had some wallabies pass through camp, a large roo hanging nearby and heard the deer. Would highly recommend.

This is a great, private spot on grassed flat land above the creek. The dogs can run freely within camp without disturbing the neighbours who are very generously distanced from one another's sites. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The creek is lovely to explore and swim in. Lots of bird watching and the cows were a treat. There's enough room for groups and its not too far to travel feom Brissy or the GC. Happily camp here again 👌

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather dependant. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Come and stay in our affordable, clean and convenient suburban location in Aspley on the inner northside of Brisbane. We have affordable powered sites to stay for caravan, RV and Motorhome owners. We're one of the few campsites close to the CBD - offering easy access to the vibrant city of Brisbane via a convenient bus route. The park features a manned Reception Desk (weekdays), Pool, and Lounge Room. There's also communal BBQ facilities, and amenities with hot showers, and paid laundry. Our campsites are located in the rear section of Brisbane North Rental Village, which offers cabin and caravan accommodation to short and long term guests. You'll struggle to camp closer to Brisbane CBD.

PLEASE NOTE:- There are 3 camp areas at Buddai Camp, Gumtree - has 2 separate sites. Creekbend - has 1 individual site. Old Stump - has 1 individual site, but suitable for larger groups. ~ Gumtree - site 1 and site 2. ~ Creekbend - site 1. ~ Old Stump - site 1. Gumtree has a little flat area on top of creek bank and the rest is more uneven and sloped ground. More suitable for tents, swags, rooftops and small vans. Creekbend is all flat and more suitable for bigger vehicles. Old Stump is slighlty sloped and uneven but has some flat areas. Away from the other 2 camp area but suitable for large groups. Quiet camp area on Creek bank. A short walk down the bank to shallow to mid depth running water, perfect to sit and chill out in, or watch the kids splash around. Plenty of shade down by the creek. It can be a steep or slippery walk down to the creek, depending on the weather and if the creek has recently risen or flooded. Easily accessible by 2WD as long as its not too wet. Suitable for tents, caravans, RVs etc Dogs allowed but must be supervised at all times and chained/locked up at night or if being a nuisance. All campers must be fully self sufficient. NO TOILETS NO ELECTRICITY NO WATER Camp fires permitted but subject to local fire bans/restrictions. BYO firewood. Firewood also available for purchase from neighbours just up the road. This is a working farm, so we are not always hanging out at the house, and often out in the paddock, So as a courtesy can you please give an estimated arrival time so we can meet you at the house and then take you down and show you the campsite.
