To ensure a private and relaxed environment, we limit the campground to two large sites within this paddock, providing ample space for caravans, campers, and tents. Each site covers approximately 900 square meters, allowing plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Nestled in a valley of rolling green hills beneath Mapleton National Park you'll find our beautiful property. Easy access from a well maintained dirt road. Cedar creek runs through the middle of the property for a nice refreshing swim in the swimming hole by the bridge or explore the meandering creek. There is a 4wd access road through to the mapleton national park for you to enjoy the hiking trails and nature.
We want your camping experience at Cedar Banks to be delightful while respecting our local community, wildlife, and surroundings.
To keep the area pristine, fires must be in allocated pits. You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival.
Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited.
For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property.
As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds.

The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched.
The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks.
You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles.
Access is 4WD or AWD only.
In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather.
Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Absolutely loved camping here. No one else around and beautiful views of the valley. The swing was just the perfect picturesque addition. There were some curious, friendly cows checking me out to complete the experience. It was so peaceful out there - highly recommend and I would love to come and stay there again anytime!

Tent camping here was amazing. We had site 3 which had shade options throughout the day and views of the river. The river was mostly shin depth when we were there, but deeper spots up to our waists made it nice for a dip. The grass for the whole section near the river was slashed which made it easy to walk and set tents. The view of the hills was lovely, as was the birdsong in the morning.

Was a good spot, easy access, as it’s the only site no need to worry about it being overcrowded. It was perfect for us with only 2 cars but anymore than that would be a mission to space them out on the side of the hill.

We loved our camping experience! We received very clear instructions from the host on how to reach the campsite. The latter is located on a very big land in the forest and off a gravel road. Even though there are several cottages there, every one has their own space and privacy. If you like camping in nature, away from the crowds, this is the place! The sounds of nature at night are intense and the stars and moonlight magical; perfect place to reconnect! Great concept overall and our host Audrey was super friendly, helpful and accommodating! We definitely recommend this place and would return in the future 🙂

Great for a brief one night stay for a ute with roof top tent. Not much more space for anything larger as it sits between a ledge and their driveway. Stunning views of the mountains and very quiet and great photo opportunities with the swing. Very very friendly cows gate crashed the camp site a few times 😉

Great spot with large grassy open areas well spaced apart, with very nice views of surrounding hills. As many have said, sites 3 & 4 are the largest and best suited to larger vans, and site 2 has the best shade in summer. River access is via a communal path (sites don't have separate access) which is steep, but once you are down there it's heaven.
