Weekend Trip to Coominya Farm Stay

Peaceful and quiet. Loved the generous / ample room to park our caravan. The next spot is metres away. Lynn is a great host. Meets you on the driveway in show you your spot. Gives a great friendly explanation of facilities. Lots of sites have fire pits. We walked past the horses (we had stop to chat) to the rail trail twice. We will be back for many more stays.

Coominya Farm Stay was a delight! Down to earth, friendly staff and campers. Great open spaces Probably warmer weather would be good. But we had fun. BVRT out the back gate. Lovely atmosphere. Good little kitchen and the portaloos were clean and smelling sweet. Thanks Lynn for a great stay.

Beautiful location by the lake and great little bushwalk from the campground. But as previously mentioned the powered sites for vans are a struggle to get flat ground. My van was on a slant no Matter which way I parked. Also facilities & toilets are bit of a distance from the powered site lake view. Would be nice to have a toilet & shower closer. But overall great spot

Great spot. Heaps of space. Close to Coominya pub and shops. Kitchen had a microwave, toaster and kettle. Hot water was a bit touch and go in the shower. Toilets were clean. Handy fire pits.

I had the best time camping there, i stayed for 2 nights with a couple of friends for my birthday, the caretaker was amazing, so very helpful and welcoming, the property was big and well maintained and the facilities were kept very clean, will definitely be returning

Lynn's land was very peaceful and was just what I needed....a getaway from the world so I could relax and rejuvenate. The site I was at was beautiful with the a view of the dam, any amenities were close by. If I needed anything Lynn was just a msg away she is a great host, I would return again and again.

Really peaceful location with plenty of room close to the dam. The facilities are clean and well maintained. A great place to relax and unwind. Lynn was very helpful assisting with our site set-up.

Lots of room, good access to rail trail. Pleasant, quiet, very good attentive host. Portaloos but they were very clean and tidy. Braziers and fire pits. Good for stargazing. Nice sunsets.

Great place to stay. Close to town. The amenities were good, the sites were large, the place is very clean, and you are nice and spread out. Firepits are allowed which is always a bonus. Would happily stay there again.

We loved staying at Coominya Farm Stay. We wanted to stay somewhere beautiful and peaceful for our first trip away with our new camper trailer. There were a lot of campers there, but no one was too close. It felt safe and quiet and Lynn was super helpful! We would absolutely visit again.

Such a great place to camp! Lynn and her husband are amazing hosts who go out of their way to help everyone at the camp site. Helping campers with their fires after the rain. Can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back!

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Helidon Spa Eco Village is built on a beautiful natural spring, rich with wildlife and native plants. This friendly local camping and caravan park is set on a sprawling 20 acres and located on the edge of the natural spring located conveniently off the Warrego Highway. Caravans and Motorhomes can stay in one of three spots overlooking the natural spring giving the area it's name, Helidon Spa. Power is available at each of the fixed sites. Important to Note:- *There is no dump point on-site. *Pets only welcome for casual/short-term stays. The area, once a bustling tourist attraction has since been converted into a small sustainable village that several locals call home. Picnic tables and amenities are less than 200m away from all sites. All grey water is recycled and treated on site and all fresh water is drawn from the natural spring. Street lights are solar powered and as you read this the on site electricity is being converted to solar.
