9 sites on 251 acres. We have opened our property for prospecting for gold. Camping is available upon request – you must be self-sufficient. No toilets, no showers, no potable water and no cooking facilities provided.
This property runs cattle and two horses, we also seem to accommodate neighbours goats when they escape their own property. We have an abundance of birdlife, a few hares and the occasional mob of kangaroos like to thunder through the property at dawn and dusk.

The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Yes: Rocky Creek Homestead is the venue for ""Camping with Goats"! Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play.
Mountain bike the many trails or walk around at sunrise to spot the many birds, wallabies, possums and the occasional koala as we are wildlife habitat.
We do have a Portable toilet onsite, however, no showers and campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners' control at all times.
We are located 15 minutes from Toowoomba for shopping, dinning and 5 minutes to Withcott hotel or 10 to Murphy's Creek hotel both great country pubs.

The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Only 2 hours from Brisbane, and 20 minutes from Warwick.Connolly Dam is about 5 km away and is great for swimming and you can kayak and swim and fish (permit required). Suitable for all types of vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, big rigs... etc. Dog friendly. Horse agistment available. Campers will need their own toilet and remove all rubbish. Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, plenty of wood to gather your own (more than enough!)We will happily offer a discount on a confirmed booking for anyone under age 5, but they do need to be booked for insurance purposes. Please ask.We can offer multiple secluded sites. We will not put other campers near your site. Our bush sites are your own until you leave. You can hear the birds, kangaroo thumps, sometime koala growl, and distant cattle but no other people.

Yes: Rocky Creek Homestead is the venue for ""Camping with Goats"! Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play.
Mountain bike the many trails or walk around at sunrise to spot the many birds, wallabies, possums and the occasional koala as we are wildlife habitat.
We do have a Portable toilet onsite, however, no showers and campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners' control at all times.
We are located 15 minutes from Toowoomba for shopping, dinning and 5 minutes to Withcott hotel or 10 to Murphy's Creek hotel both great country pubs.
Children under 4 are free.

We had a camper set up to enjoy the sunset, with its own firepit.. The facilities are 1st class including toilets and a hot shower. A very welcoming and helpful host added to the stay. This hipcamp is perfect for families and couples look for a genuine country farm experience.

Lindsay is such a lovely host who guided us down to the river to the most beautiful camping site. Open green fields and a river to swim in, beautiful gum trees and a fire pit under the billions of stars, this place is the ideal camp spot. We stayed during the week and had it all to ourselves. There are also toilets and showers if you need. We travelled with our 2 big dogs who loved it as much as us! Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area 😊🚌🐾

Was such lovely place to the spend the weekend away! Definitely a place to check out. We stayed in site 3 and it was the perfect nook next to the water with lots of shade from the large tree and large open grass space for the dog to run around! Only downside was the toilets being about 1Km away from our site.

Camp sites are spread out and well maintained (flat grassy area) all camp sites are fantastic. Toilet and shower available back at the main house but far from the camp sites- I’d recommend adding a porta-loo to your stay, it was well worth it for us.
Our dogs LOVED having access to the creek and so did we. We took our stand up paddle boards and borrowed Lindsay’s kayaks for a paddle up and down the creek. Gorgeous!

Great spot for a weekend trip with mates. Lindsay is a very accommodating host. The campsite had everything we needed with ammenities a drive/walk away. Has the convenience of Warwick being a 5 minutes drive away. We were a decently sized group but we had a lot of space to spread out and stay comfortably. Will definitely be going back.

This is a beautiful little peaceful spot. A gorgeous view, we purposely didn’t pack any toys for our kids and they were kept entertained for hours playing in the creek and hanging out with the goats!!! We will be back.

This is an awesome camping spot, the trees surrounding camp made it feel very cozy. The scenery was absolutely lovely and was complemented with a gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Even with the cars passing by a few hundred meters away the camp felt very peaceful. Lovely scenic quiet spot. Area has not had a lot of rain thus there was not a lot of water for swimming. We are city slickers - there were 2 horses hanging by a 3 way gate. We were not experienced enough to know that those horses were hanging around specifically to get entry to another paddock. My husband did not shoo them away and opened the gate & one bolted through. We were embarrassed but the owner was understanding. Lesson learned. No network connection which was perfect.
