Beautiful place to stay, love the free roaming goats, wallabies, cows, sheep and emus. The river is full of tabbies and little shrimp and fish and lots of safe areas to let your kids go fishing. Water is deep enough to swim in, we even managed to get our kayaks in the water tho got stuck on rock in a few places.

Cannot recommend Mel’s little piece of paradise enough. Lovely spot with friendly horses. Loo with a view, kitchen tent with table, benches and sink provide a touch of camp luxury. The boys in our group were bummed with the fire ban but that is outside everyone’s control. Only had one small issue which was remedied as soon as I sent Mel a message. Super spot and awesome host 😊.

We loved a few quiet nights away at this hidden gem. We booked at short notice and had no issues finding the place with clear instructions. The site was perfect, camp fire and bench seats was a lovely little spot to sit back and watch the stars while roasting a few marshmallows. The basic toilet was an appreciated touch for the females in our group. Very private spot, did not see the host (no need - but they were very attentive and quick to respond to messages with questions) it felt very secluded though only a short drive from the town to grab supplies. The horses came down to the damn for a nightly visit which was quite magical. A few local sights worthwhile to visit like the lookout and suspension bridge which is home to beautiful turtles. The locals of laidley were super friendly and we had some great food from the local chippo and bakery. If you are looking for a comfortable off grid stay (dog friendly too!) this place ticks all the boxes. Thanks so much, hope to return sometime!

What an amazing spot to camp! We were very fortunate to be here when the creek was in good flow and it was lovely and green around. I would 100% camp here again in a heartbeat! We saw so much wildlife and logged at least 20 bird species just watching from the camp. Super easy to get in and out, lovely short walks along the creek and up the hill. Heaps of timber around that’s easy to get to for campfires. So peaceful and private and it sure helped to have the separate loo handy too.

Open paddock park anywhere, plenty of space to spread out. We felt safe leaving the van and exploring. We are self contained so didn't use the facilities. Host provided a bin which as anyone travelling full time knows how helpful this is. Directions easy however if coming from the opposite direction of Toowoomba the camping sign can not be seen from this way. Stress free, enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Emma is a fantastic host, we have stayed at park up for few months, this is a perfect spot if you want to have a longer stay and explore the area, currently Toowoomba has it yearly carnival of flowers, lots of museums to explore, spend some time to relax and enjoy. Hip camp does have toilets and access to showers- cold water only, great for the warm months ahead. There is water for showers if you have a van, not really drinkable, water great if you have your own toilet and shower in your caravan. Fire wood provide for camp fire with pit available to use- donation towards firewood would be appreciated to keep surplus wood in the future. Excellent views, quiet and pet friendly, we have a bearded dragon and 3 cats which are usually caged outside times during the day. No power at this site, having your own solar is recommended. Please be aware Toowoomba area does get quite windy this time of year. For a local it’s normal, travellers may have issues with this weather. Bins supplied. Great spot We will be back even for weekend getaway even when we are only 15 mins up the road.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver.
