If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Our focus is to provide a quiet family-friendly venue. The space and quiet of our campground allows visitors to interact with the many native birds and animals that frequent the campground, providing a unique backdrop to an authentic bush experience. Campers can enjoy relaxing around their campfire in the bush, with firepits available at each site. This is combined with the luxury of flushing toilets and hot, gas-heated showers. To make the most of our peace and tranquillity, campsites are scattered in secluded areas throughout the property. There are 4 main camping areas, The Forest Camp, The Creek Camp, The Mountain Camp and The Overflow, each offering something different. We have smaller sites, suitable for a couple, a family or a few friends through to larger sites for groups and all sites have been levelled for a comfortable stay. We cater for all forms of camping including tents, camper trailers and caravans. The campground is accessible by 2WD and 4WD vehicles and firewood, ice and drinking water is available from our office. We are only a 30 minute drive to many local attractions located around Stanthorpe and Killarney. We are a pet-free campground.

There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples and larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD ONTO THE PROPERTY IF YOU ARE IN A FIRE ANT ZONE. Mountview has bags of good quality iron-bark timber for sale. Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. Campers must arrive before 5pm to check in. Once checked in you are welcome to come and go as you please. No pets please.

Our focus is to provide a quiet family-friendly venue. The space and quiet of our campground allows visitors to interact with the many native birds and animals that frequent the campground, providing a unique backdrop to an authentic bush experience. Campers can enjoy relaxing around their campfire in the bush, with firepits available at each site. This is combined with the luxury of flushing toilets and hot, gas-heated showers. To make the most of our peace and tranquillity, campsites are scattered in secluded areas throughout the property. There are 4 main camping areas, The Forest Camp, The Creek Camp, The Mountain Camp and The Overflow, each offering something different. We have smaller sites, suitable for a couple, a family or a few friends through to larger sites for groups and all sites have been levelled for a comfortable stay. We cater for all forms of camping including tents, camper trailers and caravans. The campground is accessible by 2WD and 4WD vehicles and firewood, ice and drinking water is available from our office. We are only a 30 minute drive to many local attractions located around Stanthorpe and Killarney. We are a pet-free campground.

The camp site is in a clearing in the Eucalyptus woodland on the most rugged part of a working cattle property. The walking tracks range from easy to challenging, with spectacular views from the higher points. An abundance of wildlife live here. Birds range from Kookaburras to Bower Birds. You are sure to see wallabies and possibly hear a koala if camping in summer. Please be aware that spring is usually the driest time of the year and the most likely time for fire bans to be in place. A gas bbq with a burner will be provided for cooking and boiling water if a fire ban is in place. 30 minutes drive from Toowoomba.

At Carbean Camping & Farmstay you will get to camp at our large dam and enjoy a number of great activities. There are areas for bush walking, push bike riding, using model aircraft, land vehicles and boat, bird watching, fossicking and almost any activity one could think of, and of course star gazing. Stayed at Carbeen Camping and Farmstay over the New Year. It is a relaxing location, flat and well looked after. Host are lovely people, checked in with us every day to ensure everything was ok. They even supplied free fire wood. Shame the dam was a little too weedy for a swim. Lots of kangaroos of an evening coming to the dam for a drink. Even had the odd huge goanna wonder thru campsite a few times. Will be back.

I really enjoyed pitching a swag at Ruby’s Rest. So much room, no noise, the horses roaming around, plenty of firewood everywhere and the amenities provided all you would need (hot showers, flushing toilet and a little sink with running (tank) water). Perfectly located for Bald Rock NP (30 minutes drive) and only 10 minutes to get into Stanthorpe. It’s been very cool for mid summer, but very enjoyable for tent/swag camping. Depending on where you place yourself, you may need the car to get to the amenities or have a rather long walk. I will be back to explore more of Girraween NP.

We (husband, 10m old baby, 2 dogs and friend) had a lovely 2 night stay over christmas. Was a little busy, but thankfully the site next to us left early so we had a lot of extra room which made the stay great. Our area was in the open field which didnt have a lot of shade though and got very windy at times (very windy and cold overnight). Great host, and the BBQ meat tray and breakfast pack were delicious. Clean toilets and showers are provided as well. We had bait worms delivered to us, and the local shops in town only a 10min drive away. Bit challenging to find our camp site at first, until we accidentally stumbled across the hosts house and he was able to arrange for us to he shown to our site. There are A LOT of flies at this time of the year so bring a fly trap, or netting.

We had a lovely long weekend camped beside the Condamine River. Unfortunately the wind picked up over the weekend, resulting in a quick repositioning of the caravan to act as a wind block, and preserve the awning. Thus loosing the straight on view of the river. This in no way put us off. We had a track down from our spot to an area that was good for fishing from. One large carp caught, too large for the gear, as with a flock of its head the line broke and it was free again (bugger). The dog loved the river, making it difficult for fishing. Plenty of fire pits and flat areas for tents, campers and vans. There were probably 6-8 groups and multiple people on these. I felt in no way crowded, as well spaced sites and well laid out. Toilets, showers and a dump point to round it out. Tracy and I will be back, a short journey, Brisbane to Warwick, plus the bonus of dog friendly, fire pits and dump point make it a must.

Lovely riverside camp spot with toilets and showers. Fairly flat camp sites with numerous fire pits with timber available for purchase. The paddocks (camp sites) seem to regularly mowed and Bruce is a terrific host - he is very friendly but not intrusive. Overall, a 9.5/10.

Campgrounds are peaceful, well maintained, not over crowded, and have good options to choose more private/secluded areas or larger/communal open spaces. Amenties are well maintained and convenient to access. Motion sensor lighting along the pathways at night was great. Tracey and Paul are welcoming hosts who are present and accessible, but not invasive. We appreciated the flexible check-in/out times and ability to choose our own campsite.

We stayed at the lake view site for two nights and it was fantastic. Short walk down to the lake and spent the whole day in the lake. It was amazing sunrise by the lake too. The host/ care take was very helpful and friendly. Make sure you get all your supplies from the Boonah town ( about 20-25 minutes drive) before you get there.

I had a lovely three days at Pointro after a stressful Christmas period. The host was very kind and friendly, and the views are stunning. It is very close to the water, making it perfect for people with their own boats to have fun. However, for the same reason, it might not be ideal for those seeking complete quiet, as you can easily hear the sound of nearby boat motors. The closest town for supplies is Boonah, about a 37-minute drive. There are plenty of cafes and shops.
