Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.

A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.

Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.
Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding!

Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.

A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore.
Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient.
Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure.

Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.

Located 25km north from Bundaberg Qld and Bargara is just 39km away with approximately 2km of saltwater river frontage, we offer fishermen a choice of walking the sand flats on the making tide to launching their boat at our ramp giving access all the way to the river mouth.
With a large camp area, limited numbers taken, we offer peace and tranquility for those wanting to escape the crowds. Our charges are per person not site to make it more economical for those travelling alone or for those with large vans/motor homes that take up larger spaces.

Neat, clean & tidy spot on the river. Good base for exploring the area. Pub up the road approx 800m serves fabulous meals. Fellow campers caught some fish 🎣 also!

We had a wonderful stay with Sarah, a beautiful spot next to the river. Plenty of grassed area to put up the camper trailer. Close to local attractions made day trips easy. The toilet and hot shower was definitely an added bonus. Our only comment is that we where not allowed to use our grass mat.
Great place to stay and we will be back.

This is an absolute gem of a campground. The host - Sarah - is so helpful and friendly. The campground itself is beautiful. Lots of gorgeous grass and plenty of space. It is so tranquil next to the river. The toilets and shower were immaculate with really cute little signs. Butlic the frog made me giggle every time I went to the loo! IYKYK. I managed some beautiful runs around the area too, if you’re into that sort of thing! I would highly recommend this as a base camp to explore the Bundaberg region.

Really great camp spot!
The showers and toilets were very well maintained and super clean!
The camp spot was so great and Sarah was very accomodating with letting us choose our own spot to camp.
Keep in mind the cicadas can be super loud in the morning and evenings on the unpowered spots at the river.
Great spot to chill, have a fish and a beer! We highly recommend this hipcamp spot.

What an amazing little stay over this was Bucca was like a yoga retreat on the river. Lovely little hotel and pub just down the road as well. We’ll definitely recommend staying here showers and toilets very refreshing.

Kolan River retreat is a wonderful place to stay and it’s very obvious the effort the owners have put into this property to make it very comfortable and convenient for campers. The facilities are fantastic, hot water showers and pump toilets which are so clean and well maintained. Boat ramp access is a bonus and the wildlife is abundant. Plenty of room in between camps and campfires are allowed. Our dog had a ball hanging out with the friendliest cows. We will be back for sure.

Really nice campsite, very quiet even during the busy periods. Heaps of green space to spread everyone out - You’re able to choose your own site. Would advise that if you need to go to the bathroom that you go when you feel the urge as it’s a bit of a walk depending on where you are. Will definitely be coming back here again. Showers and toilets are always very clean and well maintained. Would 100% recommend this site for people as it would be a great place for kids and families.

We loved camping here and will definitely want to return in the future. The owners and family were super friendly and helpful. We celebrated NYE by watching all the kids come together for a dance and karaoke session using the big projector, party lights and smoke machine. They had the best time! Camp sites were extremely spacious and had lots of tree coverage.
