The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country.
On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside.
The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. My 100 acre grassland property is mostly natural ironbark grassland, bounded by the Condamine River to the east and the sealed Cullendore Road to the west. This area also includes a small number of powered sites
* TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles
*Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own.
*HOT Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites
*Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt.

Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty.
Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s.
You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky.
Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-)
Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down.
BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended.
ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character.
The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers.

9 sites on 251 acres. We have opened our property for prospecting for gold. Camping is available upon request – you must be self-sufficient. No toilets, no showers, no potable water and no cooking facilities provided.
This property runs cattle and two horses, we also seem to accommodate neighbours goats when they escape their own property. We have an abundance of birdlife, a few hares and the occasional mob of kangaroos like to thunder through the property at dawn and dusk.
Free firewood can be collected around the property and firepits are available. Campfires are subject to authority fire bans.
Day visitors for fossicking/prospecting must book through Hipcamp for insurance reasons.
No motorbikes allowed however bicycles are allowed on the tracks.
Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times for their safety and the safety of the other residents on the property both human and animal.
Gold prospecting/fossicking is subject to rules that will be sent once you book your fossicking experience. Please note you need to hold a current fossicking licence issued from the Department of Mines and Resources. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty.
Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s.
You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky.
Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-)
Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down.
BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended.
ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character.
The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers.

9 sites on 251 acres. We have opened our property for prospecting for gold. Camping is available upon request – you must be self-sufficient. No toilets, no showers, no potable water and no cooking facilities provided.
This property runs cattle and two horses, we also seem to accommodate neighbours goats when they escape their own property. We have an abundance of birdlife, a few hares and the occasional mob of kangaroos like to thunder through the property at dawn and dusk.
Free firewood can be collected around the property and firepits are available. Campfires are subject to authority fire bans.
Day visitors for fossicking/prospecting must book through Hipcamp for insurance reasons.
No motorbikes allowed however bicycles are allowed on the tracks.
Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times for their safety and the safety of the other residents on the property both human and animal.

As people that live in the bush we just loved this spot, it's everything you want for a get away from it all.
Brilliant hosts left us wood for our fire and share the magic of their land.

We loved our stay at Sawyers Rest. We ended up having the property to ourselves, which made it feel even more relaxing. It’s a peaceful spot with flat camping areas and plenty of space.
The creek was great. We spent a lot of time down there kayaking, fishing and sitting by the water. Our doggos had a ball, there’s heaps of room for them to explore, and they also loved the creek
Overall, it was quiet, private and easy. We’d definitely stay again!

We stayed on Kendall's lovely rural property with our caravan and 2 dogs for a night on a road trip home recently. Our contact with Kendall was perfect as was the location...alongside a dam where except for some drizzle we would have had a fire. The location is peaceful and quiet...exactly what we were seeking. We have a 24' van and had not problem accessing the camping area. Highly recommended.

We have left on our working trip around Australia in November, we are from a rural FNQ town and since leaving we have struggled to find many remote camping spots like we have at home.
We stumbled across Binghi station last minute and decided to book and glad we did because it’s the best Hip camp we have had since starting our trip.
It’s a beautiful remote station, with beautiful swimming spots, we were the only campers on the station (mid week) and Adrian and his family were super lovely, nothing was a hassle and it was laid back.
We towed our 22ft off road caravan and had no issues and didn’t find the drive in too rough, although we have taken our caravan to some gnarly areas.
We will try and get back and camp at the gorge next time with some friends and our swags. Also bonus point for being pet friendly, which seems rare around NSW, our dog is use to being around cattle, so was fine around the sheep. Thank you Adrian and family for hosting us 😊

Weekend Trip to Glenelg Station
The Drover cabin is really special. After a few cold beers in the cooling summer afternoon. Scrubbing yourself clean in the bathtub among the gumtrees and local fauna is truly a peaceful experience. It was wasn’t too hot at night and a fan was provided and already turned on when we arrived.
A fridge, gas stove, hot water as well all the basic things like coffee and pots and pans. It really was a very easy and care free experience.
Reminiscent of a Wild West tv show, sitting on the deck with a book as the light faded, it was like stepping back in time. Old whips, saddle parts, books and many other old trinkets and quirks the more you looked the more you found.
Cozy and romantic for couples and a real intriguing stay for history geeks. Absolutely loved it.

A little uneven but we made it work with our group strategically placing our vans and campers. Close to Stanthorpe. Very private and lovely having the whole place to ourselves. We had it all to ourselves,it was quiet,relaxing and totally worth it.
We had our 4wd and caravan in there,plenty of room to drive in and park.
We walked around the camp ground where it was mowed and well kept.
We were self contained so shower and toilet on board as you need a toilet as no digging holes,which is great as no mess from other campers.If we all do this,this property will be available for us all to enjoy for a long time,respect the owners and pick up after yourselves and thats what it should be.
We loved our time here,swimming,relaxing and our dog enjoyed herself also.
