As an added treat, make sure to visit at 3 pm to meet the friendly residents—our rescue pony, adorable alpacas, and playful miniature goats. It's a delightful experience, especially for families and animal lovers. Plus, Donnelly’s Keep is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the charming orchards and vineyards of Stanthorpe—perfect for a day of exploring the local delights after a peaceful morning in nature. Arriving is easy, thanks to a well-maintained gravel road that features only a few minor correlations. To navigate smoothly, use the intersection of Amiens Rd, Pozieres Rd, and Donnellys Castle Rd as your guiding point. Wonderful quiet location on the northern side of Stanthorpe. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with fire wood stacked and a personal greeting by Kath, who gave us great local knowledge on fresh produce and attractions in the vicinity. Loved it all.

Site 3 - Little Dam Paddock View
We had great communication from Kath, including easy directions to the site. On arrival, Kath greeted us with a tractor skip full of fire wood which was perfect to sit around a beautiful warm camp fire on the chilly nights. Kath and Phillippe have done a fabulous job getting their little piece of Paradise ready for self sufficient guests. They were full of helpful suggestions as to what to do in the area. The added bonus was all their adorable four legged babies including cheeky Alpacas, goats, mini sheep and mini horse Rio.

Amazing property!!’ I don’t even want to leave a review to try and keep this place a secret but Katherine was so welcoming!!! Slashed our camp area from the tall grass, perfect fire pits and close enough to town if you wanted to go!

Site 1 - Boulder Firepit
We stayed at Donnelly’s Keep over the weekend camping and had the most amazing time. It was so peaceful & relaxing. Kicking back sitting around the fire pit watching the stars was just what we all needed. Our kids had the best time being about to run around and explore without interrupting anyone else. Such a big open space & the host Katherine was so lovely, she gave us some great tips on places to go in the local area. We will definitely be back, highly recommend adding this little gem to your list of places to try.

Site 1 - Boulder Firepit
Our family stayed at Donnelly’s Keep camping in May, and it was hard to leave. The property is lush, green, and peaceful — a true escape from the everyday. It’s beautifully secluded, with a large, thoughtfully built fire pit and breathtaking views in every direction. Our boys had the time of their lives running free, exploring the grounds, and saying hello to the goats, alpacas, and the adorable miniature horse. It was such a joy to see them so happy and engaged with nature. Kath and Philippe ware incredibly warm and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Their generosity and care truly made our stay special. We can’t wait to come back.
