The property is a short 5 min drive from the Kirkleigh boat ramp and 20 min drive from the spit. If booking the Ski Shack you have most of the comforts of home in the spacious open plan living, with a bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of room to park your boats, trailers, and caravans. The kids can run around and play till they are exhausted. The courtesy bus from the Exchange Hotel will pick you up and drop you off Friday and Sat nights,(check before hand). You will need to take your rubbish with you when you leave. Fires only in the supplied enclosed fire pits. Fire wood is sold at various locations not far from the property. Gate code will be provided after booking is confirmed. For those camping or caravanning, there is power available for all the luxuries you may need weather camping or in your RV. The Old piggery is located in the back corner paddock of our 36 acre property. It is a 1 acre paddock with an undercover area, fireplace, bbq, rustic toilet and shower. To ensure you have the entire fenced paddock to yourselves we have listed it as one site. It is a flat shady site with an undercover bush kitchen and fireplace. There is also a seasonal creek with many species of wildlife. Located close to popular tourist locations - Mooloolaba Beach, hinterland, The Big Pineapple, Aussie World, Australia Zoo (all within 20 min drive). Guests will have access to a rustic toilet and shower during their stay. We have cattle on the property so please ensure gates are kept closed at all times. Kangaroos are regularly sighted on our property. Price is per person so please include the correct number of guests in your booking. We only take one booking at a time so you are guaranteed exclusive use of the site and facilities. Firewood can be collected from the paddock for free. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. We are located 50km from Brisbane CBD, 1km from the Warrego Hwy, Sundowner Saloon and the country township of Marburg. We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals. Please note: Owner lives on-site next to the camp site. Shared site and facilities including shared firepit with up to 4 other groups of campers. Usually 5 -15 people maximum onsite but sometimes more on peak weekends.

Such a beautiful location with fantastic views! The horses just added that extra farm stay touch and made you feel like such a part of nature. We were unlucky enough to get caught in some big storms but the property was so well maintained it didnt affect us at all and no issues getting the caravan in and out. It was very windy though so don't make the same mistake we did by putting the awning out if the weather isn't 100%! Overall very private and relaxing location and only 10 minutes out from Dayborough. Will definitely be back.

Our campsite was perched on the top of the range with incredible views to the north & south. It was private and peaceful, the only sounds were from birdsong & the rustle of nature. We had a lovely swim in the dam which was clean & refreshing. We had a fantastic stay & look forward to returning. Thanks Viola!

Weekend Trip to Quails Ridge Farm Stay

I've been to a few hipcamps now and this stood out for the facilities. Kids will love it as there's a playground, I think everyone can use the pool but we didn't use it. The chickens are like dogs and the roosters hilarious. My 7 year old loves it. Good scenery, Woolworths is a 7 minute drive and it's close to Australia Zoo. The host was awesome and accommodating, you can't really ask for more.

We loved camping at Kookaburra Park. It’s a perfect set up for families. Our allocated spot was in the paddock and we were happily surprised to find our site had water and power, and was nice and close to the great ammenities. Truly the best mix of camping with creature comforts without feeling on top of other guests. Our little one loved the very well organised animal feeding (guinea pigs, goats, sheep, deer, ducks, geese and pigs) and the hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming. We can’t wait to go back.

We all loved staying at Glen’s beautiful property on the banks of the Mary River. The grounds were immaculate and there were lovely trees for shade or open areas for the pups to run around on. We appreciated Glen keeping us uptodate with everything we needed to know, he is an absolutely wonderful host. Will definitely be back and we highly recommend this awesome place.
