ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Drive down the driveway to the Hipcamp sign on the right, enter and set up next to one of the available fire pits. We'll visit you in the afternoon.
Misty Mountain Farm is a family run working beef cattle property and horse training facility situated at the base of picturesque Coolangatta Mountain.
Camp grounds are well maintained grass paddocks surrounded by beautiful picturesque scenery.

We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks.
You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas.
There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers.

Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay.
We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location.
The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing.
Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed!
Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings.
Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property.
Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly.

Yerrinbool is 1 hour from Sydney and a great spot to spend a weekend away, 15 mins from Bowral and 10 mins to Mittagong
There are animals on the farm including ducks, chickens, goats, sheep and sometimes even baby cows.
The property does need a little clean up but the rear of the property is nice and tranquil. We are directly next to the HWY so sometimes there is road noise, but it's a great location for an easy stopover. Easy access for caravans, keeping in mind the weather as like in all areas it becomes soft when wet.
Please note, while we do permit more than one car per site booking, we only allow 1 caravan per site. So if you are in a group with more than 1 caravan, you will need to book multiple sites. Any questions, please let us know.
We have Fire Pits in key locations around the farm PLEASE DO NOT move them as they signify each spot for camping. They have allocated spots and we do not need them moved.
We also have a toilet in a small shed in the rear paddock for people who are using tents. Also when you come to the campsite please insure that when using the toilet to keep it clean as it is a bush toilet.
Water to flush the toilet is in a tank behind the shed and if your a male please use a tree for number 1. We want to minimise flushes where possible, please keep clean for the next camper.
and water is at the front of the property, if you're required to fill your tanks or rinse off.
We have two dams with yabbies you are welcome to collect. If you do collect some please be respectful in the amounts you collect and also throw some raw meat and or frozen veggies like peas and corn into the dam to provide food for the others to grow.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers.

Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed!
Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings.
Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property.
Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly.

Yerrinbool is 1 hour from Sydney and a great spot to spend a weekend away, 15 mins from Bowral and 10 mins to Mittagong
There are animals on the farm including ducks, chickens, goats, sheep and sometimes even baby cows.
The property does need a little clean up but the rear of the property is nice and tranquil. We are directly next to the HWY so sometimes there is road noise, but it's a great location for an easy stopover. Easy access for caravans, keeping in mind the weather as like in all areas it becomes soft when wet.
Please note, while we do permit more than one car per site booking, we only allow 1 caravan per site. So if you are in a group with more than 1 caravan, you will need to book multiple sites. Any questions, please let us know.
We have Fire Pits in key locations around the farm PLEASE DO NOT move them as they signify each spot for camping. They have allocated spots and we do not need them moved.
We also have a toilet in a small shed in the rear paddock for people who are using tents. Also when you come to the campsite please insure that when using the toilet to keep it clean as it is a bush toilet.
Water to flush the toilet is in a tank behind the shed and if your a male please use a tree for number 1. We want to minimise flushes where possible, please keep clean for the next camper.
and water is at the front of the property, if you're required to fill your tanks or rinse off.
We have two dams with yabbies you are welcome to collect. If you do collect some please be respectful in the amounts you collect and also throw some raw meat and or frozen veggies like peas and corn into the dam to provide food for the others to grow.

The site is well grassed and provides abundant shade from the overhead canopy. Best shade is in the morning when you want to sleep in. There is a tranquil creek on the eastern side of the camp and horses and hand reared cattle graze on the western paddock. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Bring some books, set up a hammock and laze the days away. Beaches on the coast and beautiful Jervis Bay are 20 Minutes away. The Jervis Bay region has much to offer so if you're up for adventure, bring your kayaks and snorkelling gear. Our beaches have the whitest sand in the world. Why not check out the dolphin and whale cruises and get up and personal with the marine life.The property is 3 km off the Princes Hwy. We loved our stay by the Oak grove site, super private and protected, perfect for our little kids and doggo. We loved exploring through the trees, spotted kangaroos and rabbits, lots of wombats have been around, went exploring on Lisa's property to say hi to the horses and see the huge dam. A beautiful place to camp and very easy to find with Lisa's clear instructions. She was great and communicated well to help make our stay comfortable. Out of the hip camps we've stayed, it's now added as one of our favourites. Very reasonably priced and kids stay free even better. A hassle free experience. We'll definitely be back! 🏕️💕

A really great place to stay, especially given how close it is to Sydney. The campsite offers flat, well-kept ground set among beautiful bushland. We stayed down near the dam, which gave us a bit more privacy and made the experience even more enjoyable.
I took my two kids and they absolutely loved it. The three farm dogs were a real highlight, as were the fire pits in the evenings.
It has a peaceful, remote feel, yet it’s only a 10–15 minute drive to the nearest shops — a perfect balance of convenience and escape.

Had a really good time at Matthew’s land. The area you camp on is beautiful with cows around and plenty of lovely scenery. They had toilets close by which was perfect for if we had to get up in the middle of the night. And each camping area had its own fire pit to use which was lovely in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time camping at David’s! The location is perfectly quiet, surrounded by nature, and felt very secluded - even being so close to Sydney. Having some basic facilities makes the trip much easier and David is a fantastic host, including giving us some tips for our visit to dharawal national park. Would highly recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at Kate’s property and like the first, we had a wonderful experience. It’s a peaceful patch of countryside so close to the attractions of the south coast. Huskinson, Milton, Ulladulla and Mollymook.
There’s nothing like waking up in the country to a beautiful sunrise slight mist across the paddocks and a cup of coffee.
Kate and David are so helpful and are excellent hosts. They are only too willing to help if needed. We had firewood delivered to our site and Dave came to check on us when we had battery issues and again to warn us of incoming weather.
We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it in a peaceful setting, yet still in close proximity to the coastline and attractions.
We will be back again and again.

What wasn’t to love about Billabong Camp! Stunning drive in. Excellent location right next to the gorgeous creek. The property around the campsites are beautifully preserved and the spacing is enough to feel as if you are all alone on the property. The seats around the campfire were a lovely touch and the large picnic table situated overlooking the creek presented us with a stunning vista at mealtimes. It is a terrific place to stay if you enjoy nature, switching off the phone and enjoying the crackle of the fire. Without any light pollution the stars were incredible. We stayed two nights but could have easily stayed a week. Vallance was very generous with contact and the detailed information was helpful. It is so great to drive within an hour from home but feel as if we have travelled much further to a new and exciting spot. Highly recommend to anyone after a reset from the hustle and bustle of busy life.
