We had such a wonderful experience. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see the shed with everything you could need with games for the kids too. It rained and had the cover to park under so we didn’t get anything wet too. Very clean with an excellent shower. Our toddlers loved seeing lots of kangaroos hopping close by. Couldn’t recommend higher!

First time hip campers!! Jason’s communication and property made for a positive experience, one which we will do again. Nice flat dry grassed area with the perfect amount of space between other campers and within easy walking distance to the Tavern and Town.

What a great location! It’s quiet and open but not far from supermarkets or great restaurants! The shed is an amazing facility which has a kitchen, fridge, and more, as well as a new bathroom. Made our camping trip a luxury, and also helped keep us dry when the torrential rains came through. Deb and Lambert were extremely welcoming hosts too!

Great spot for a night stay to break up our trip home. Would be awesome for a weekend with a group of friends. Great facilities that look brand new and very clean. Loved the use of the fire pit while watching planes fly into Sydney. Only negative is the smell if the wind is blowing the wrong way from the treatment plant next door.

A beautiful, peaceful and almost undisturbed property. It was very relaxing and private, plus lots of bush to explore. Even quiet for a Easter long weekend. We had a 14.5ft offroad caravan which would be the max size I would attempt to access the site. Parts can be soft and sandy so have all the 4WD gear. Love to stay again.

1 night at Wollombi Springs

I spent one night with my partner at Sunset Flats. and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better host. Robert was incredibly accommodating and just a genuinely nice person. He went above and beyond to help us out when things didn’t go to plan. First off, we lost reception on the way in (just a heads up for anyone with Vodafone – signal’s patchy in the area), so we couldn’t contact Robert or meet him at the designated meeting point. We ended up driving straight to the campsite instead. Not long after, Robert came down personally to check in and make sure we were settled, which we really appreciated. The next morning, our car wouldn’t start and we were pretty stressed—home was about two hours away and we were stuck. Without hesitation, Robert brought down jumper leads, helped us get the car going, and stayed with us the whole time to make sure everything was okay. It was honestly such a relief having someone that kind and helpful around. The campsite itself was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything we needed. We woke up early morning and saw a few wombats on a morning walk. Also - I’ve honestly never seen a campsite toilet that spotless before. But what really stood out was the hospitality and care Robert showed us. Would absolutely recommend staying here—not just for the spot, but for the kind of host who truly looks out for his guests.

Weekend Trip to Warm Corner

Mum and 2 young kids. We had such an awesome Easter weekend camping at warm corner. We were greeted at the property by Lambert who was very accommodating. We were given the option to camp up top or down at the river and we chose the river to afford more privacy. Lambert even came down to help me in the middle of the night to turn the gas on for me which was tightened too much. There was plenty of firewood for us to make a fire. The whole booking process was very smooth, prompt replies and the reviews really do speak to their fabulous service. The amenities were new and very clean, my kids loved the rec room. The air hockey and table tennis where a big hit with the kids, as was the cows, horses and kangaroos. We definitely will be coming back!

A great 2-night stay at Sunset Flats. Robert is super friendly, informative, and generous with his time. Communication was great. The place itself has plenty of space and corners to hide away in, and it is very well kept. I know he's going to be making further developments to the shape and structure of the property, and they all sound great. My one piece of feedback is the lack of substantial pieces of firewood. The place is swimming in wood to burn, but you need some logs for a good fire to take you into the night. I'm pretty resourceful and have the tools and energy to process what I found, so it wasn't a problem, but if it's claimed to be there, it probably should be. People love a good fire and plan, pack, and purchase around having logs to burn, and I probably would have picked up a bag or 2 if I'd known. Thanks again, Robert - I'll be back. Recommended.

We had a lovely camping weekend at Brian and Sally's Wollombi Private Earthways camp. Our site was called "Private Tree Valley" which was very private and quiet, and space was huge even our dog enjoyed her fist no fence, off-leash run! We did not see other souls at our site even though it was Easter long weekend. They kept the camp site nice and tidy, and providing a simple but clean bush toilet and water tank for washing up. We found ample shade and firewood, plus a pile already prepared for us on arrival. Brian and Sally were very responsive which made our communication very easy and seamless experience. We highly recommend this hidden oasis.

Sally and Brian are great hosts and their property was perfect for a large group of friends. We stayed over Easter long weekend and were completely undisturbed. Beautiful spot to camp. Very friendly and helpful host Robert. There was plenty of firewood and the composting toilet very clean during our time there. The stars were amazing and despite it being Easter and all sites booked, it was very private and far from the next campsite. Not far from Wollombi Village which is great to explore. The road up is pretty bumpy and a bit hairy in parts so be prepared for that but Robert meets you at the bottom and escorts you up. Highly recommend this place!

We had such an amazing time here! The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature — we even saw kangaroos and a stunning sunset. At night, the stars were absolutely magical. Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. C Colo - just beautiful

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts. The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today. Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

Plenty of space to pitch tents or put a caravan. The Great North Walk goes past our property. There is a great cafe and restaurant called Angel Sussurri five minutes drive in Yarramalong village. We also have for enjoyment a Tiny Forest. We planted 1240 trees on our property. It’s a space where you can sit and enjoy your yoga or have a cup of tea.

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. The Little Creek Retreat is conveniently located 1km north of Lithgow town centre at the end of the road nestled at the bottom of the valley near a pretty little creek. It sits next to the heritage state mine which you may view and have tours on the weekend. We have opened 2 cozy sites with outdoor seating and cooking area fire pit with free firewood for up to 6 people. Feel free to pet our miniature goats. They are very friendly. Please ask before feeding them! Camping toilets are available for use. Local kangaroos sometimes drop by. Plenty of wildlife with kookaburras, parrots, currawongs and even a shy wombat. Mini goats are sometimes on the property as well. There are many amazing local bush walks and plenty of fascinating history and things to do. Space for one car, tent, caravan or trailer 10m x 4m wide clear flat area with easy access next to outdoor seating and fire pit. For larger vehicles book site 2. 2 minute drive to cafes and shops and town centre, bus stop is 100m, train station 800m. We are conveniently close to town. Lithgow tourism centre has plenty of information and activities to do. There are scenic lookouts, climbing, canyoning, bike trails or simply relax with great eateries and historical sites. Fires are permitted when there are no RFS bans in place. Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. You may collect water from the creek. It is ok to collect fallen kindling, no chain sawing of trees. Wood is provided free of charge for small fires only. If you use the kindling please play if forward and collect for the next person. If you need more wood simply message me. There is a camping toilet with toilet paper and hand sanitizer supplied. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. No cats as there are many native birds. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. If you are interested in free accommodation, we are open to exchange labour as they is always plenty to do on the farm.

Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
