Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper.
The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on.
Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous.
If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water.
Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers.
Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro.
Pets are welcome.
There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers.

An easy and 10kms from the Hume Hwy there are numerous camp sites, one by the oak grove, a couple by the dam and with lovely rural vista.
Kids stay free and are not included in the site capacity.
Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay.
We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location.
The morning birdsong and evening frog song is a restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing, and the stars beautiful.
Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Close to charming village of Bundanoon, Berrima, local wineries and good food outlets.
Coming into winter camp fires are a must, generally best to BYO wood.
Campers must be self-contained. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property.
We have had any and all types of campers, from swags to RVs and everything in between, all can be accommodated.
Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly.

Welcome to our slice of paradise!
We are a cattle and flower farm located in Hill Top NSW.
Close to Mittagong and Bowral but far enough to enjoy the countryside and local bush walks.
Our property is located in Hill Top in the Southern Highlands region of NSW. We are just over an hour from Sydney CBD and within easy reach of all the great towns and beautiful scenery this area has to offer.
Enjoy a campfire in the cool evenings along with some brilliant star gazing. Ample firewood provided plus farm fresh eggs can be purchased.

There is road noise but it's not that loud.

Gina’s communication was amazing, she gave great directions and made getting to camp really simple.
The camp site was great, a compost toilet, fire pit, seating and tables, the view was spectacular and the site itself felt really private and secluded even though we were only 15 minutes from Bomaderry (which was super handy).
We’d recommend this site to anyone and we’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic camping at Mathews property- lush green grass to camp on, very spacious and water views of the tidal creek ,a good distance from other campers and visits from the cute cows and friendly farm dog.
It was very peaceful with beautiful birdlife and awesome
view of the stars at night.
A short drive to beautiful beaches, national parks and coastal towns.
In our favourites list for sure.

Everything was good at Babbling Brook. We swag camped at the fisherman’s shed site. Heaps of space and very private. Michele and her husband were very friendly.

An amazing property, in our favourite list for sure! We had everything we were looking for in a few nights camp: Matthew supplied firewood so a campfire every night, peacefulness, lovely birdlife, abundant fish in the tidal creek and visits from cute cows and the adorable farm dog. Camping on the bank of the creek on the most amazing area of lush grass was perfect.
We were the only ones there but Matthew has the sites spaced out nicely for privacy.
A short drive to coastal towns and beaches were ideal.

Matt is very friendly and met with us on arrival. He had firewood and lit the fire for the campers, which was really nice.
The campsites are on an open field but are spaced out so it doesn’t feel crowded.
We’d definitely camp here again.

This is a great spot to camp with loads of room to set up. We had two caravans on site with two cars and two little dogs and still plenty of room to relax. Hospitality was exceptionally good as the guys on site showed us to our location and set us up with some firewood which helped us settle in quickly .
The toilets are dump toilets that are well kept and clean to use .
Bring plenty of fresh water as there is no potable water available.
The creek is good for paddle and there is always plenty of fish jumping during the evening.
The entry into the site is a little steep with a sharp right turn at the top of the hill that could cause an issue for the in experienced.
We will definitely be back as we have listed Matt’s property as one our favourite spots to camp surrounded by great towns and places to visit .

I love camping at Coolendel camp and land because it’s so much fun and relaxing and the atmosphere is amazing and wonderful and the people are so nice and the amazing views and getting to experience of having a fire pit. The land is beautiful and well maintained and protected and they keep it clean and safe. It’s a great place for couples, families, friends just anyone.

Really nice spot. Level ground and easy access for vans. Very close to walks at the National Park and Waterfall - Lovely and good access back to Robertson for supplies. We will be back.

We loved our camping experience! Dad’s place was such a beautiful location on the farm with close access to the river and a beautiful outlook from where we positioned our tents. It was quiet, and in great distance from the other campers on the farm making it feel like we were the only people there. There were lots of wombat holes over the farm, we were lucky enough to see a wombat on one of the nights, and some kangaroos on the other nights! We would highly recommend visiting wombat hollow for your next camping adventure!
