The river is deep and also is tidal which means we have a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish that inhabit these waters. Majority of our well maintained grassy sites are located along the river or have uninterrupted river views. With a boat ramp and beach areas for you to utilise at your leisure.
Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience.
The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. My partner and I stayed here for the weekend with our dog. We’ve stayed at a few different places around Kangaroo Valley, but this place felt really unique. The dome was so cosy and well equipped.
We loved cooking and sitting around the fire pit, and the privacy made it a really relaxing stay, especially for our anxious dog! It was also so handy being only a couple of minutes from Kangaroo Valley. We’d definitely stay here again.

Slice of heaven only 15 min from Berry brimming with wildlife, kangaroos, wombats, birds, cows and horses! We camped on the property and also used the tiny home which was well equipped and very cozy when there was inclement weather. Ken was an ideal host and came out to check on us when the winds were strong just to make sure we were ok. The river on the property was gorgeous and I can imagine how great it would be in summer for a swim! Thank you for a great stay,

We had an incredible experience here. The entire setup is so cosy, and having both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit was an absolute dream for the chilly evenings.
The facilities are fabulous. The shower had amazing hot water, and the toilets were clean and all good. The service was incredibly lovely from start to finish. Also, a huge thank you for the marshmallows! It was such a thoughtful touch that made our trip extra special. The dogs also had the best time.

Weekend Trip to Glamping Around An Ancient Tree
This place was magical. It was set amongst gorgeous rolling hills with lots of animals and birds etc to keep us company. The dome and outhouse had every comfort to help make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Being able to cook on the fire near the ancient tree was very special and overall it gave us a chance to fully unwind and get back to nature. We would love to come and visit again.

We enjoyed our night in the bell tent and waking up to sounds of the lyrebirds! My boys loved riding in the wheeled cart provided to help us get our gear up the small hill from our car. there were other campers on the property but as each campsite is on a different level of the escarpment- like a terrace- it was still private. Ian was friendly, welcoming and responsive and we also enjoyed the hot tub add-on! Only 7 minutes into town and close to a golf course that my partner enjoyed.

Weekend Trip to Glamping Around An Ancient Tree
Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The space was clean, quiet and private with a gorgeous vista, and the beautiful ancient tree. I saw kangaroos, ducks and many beautiful birds. It felt very grounding and restorative. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a comfortable nature escape.

Weekend Trip to Mellows Ridge
Beautiful, quiet spot. The host was lovely and he really had thought of everything, from a spa, to providing firewood, even added a sensor light to the bathroom for night time. Could come and go as we pleased and had the whole place to ourselves.
Bed was comfy, no complaints at all.
And in case anyone’s wondering, yes the dog in the photos is part of the experience 😂 she’ll come down to play fetch she’s a very good girl.

My partner, our dog and I had an amazing time at Angie’s property. The dome tent and camp site had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. There was a fire place inside the dome tent which was kept things nice and cozy. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook. And the hot shower was a great bonus. Town was only an 10 min drive away and easy to get to for a pub dinner. Overall this was a beautiful peaceful stay and we will definitely be back again!

We really loved camping here. The tree is stunning, the view is beautiful and the dome and land around it were amazing. It was a real treat having a proper bed and a hot shower. Kids loved sleeping in their tents under the tree. We will be back. The area is stunning, we really loved it.

Beautiful setting and quiet. The camp kitchen and bathroom facilities were a winner as well as the size of the tent. It fit our family of four perfectly. The only downside for us was the cold overnight. The tent got very chilly inside.
During summer and spring months it would be perfect. Perhaps a little more challenging to stay warm during the colder months. But if you don’t mind cold you’ll be fine!

Beautiful spot and we will be back again I’m sure. My wife and toddler stayed in the dome which was incredibly comfortable and perfect for them. My older kids and I camped out next to the dome. It was perfect for a lazy couple of days as a family, enjoying being out of the city and in a really comfortable environment. Have warm shower available plus a toilet for the kids made things just a bit easier. We brought all our own gear but there was enough cooking gear available that we could have travelled lighter. Highly recommend. Thanks Angie!

I can’t get enough of this place! It’s such a quick and easy escape into nature.
Private and tranquil, plenty of bush walks, hot tub looking out over the valley at sunset, and a campfire under the stars.
