Silky Oaks is one of Australia’s largest private collections of Native Australian plants. Set on 30 acres; there is 3 lakes, manicured gardens, a cut-flower plantation, rainforest, and orchard to wander. Our Glamping Van's are Set direct on lakefront and our BYO camp spots are in the flower plantation. Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass cow paddocks, mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property. The area is a mix of houses, hobby farmers, homes on acreage, equestrian centres, produce growers and National Park. There is a glorious look-out in the National Park overlooking the Warragamba dam. Some days it is swept with clouds; enveloping you into the majestic heavens. It’s an easy ten min drive away. There is local towns 15mins drive for eating out and getting coffee.

Site 2 is a private spot located in the Flower plantation. It is surrounded by Banksia, eucalypts, grevilleas and seasonal cottage flowers during Summer and Autumn. It over looks the horse field for morning pats. There is some tree shade from the summer heat and the site has a shade cloth. The site is wedged in the rows of flowers and can fit 2 tents or a tent and gazebo and 1 car. Campers are free to wander the property and visit the native gardens. Silky Oaks is one of Australia’s largest private collections of Native Australian plants. Set on 30 acres, there is 3 lakes, manicured gardens, a cut-flower plantation, rainforest, and orchard to wander.  Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property surrounded by horses, cows and sheep as you arrive. Lake front Retro Glamping.
They provide so much more than listed! 2 of us stayed in the van and 2 of us camped in our rooftop tent just nearby. Cute campervan, my sister reported that the bed was comfy. There's a large shade cloth area with tables and chairs, a bbq, a firepit and an outdoor sink. Cold shower setup outside too. Thanks David!

Great communication from the host, easy location not far from Sydney. The grounds were well maintained and suitable for our needs. Maybe a bit expensive as we ended sharing a site with friends. But lovely to see the horses and the birds/wildlife and the native flowers.

Lake front Retro Glamping.
My little family and I really enjoyed our stay. The caravan was cosy and pretty much everything we could ask for for supplies (e.g. toilet, power, shower, fans, sink, crockery, fridge, bedding) was there. My son enjoyed stomping in mud, seeing the horses, running around and campfires. Focus for us was a few days of relaxing, so this ticked the boxes well! David was an easy going and helpful host. Thank you!

Spacious, beautiful and quiet

Site 1 - Flower Plantation.
We had such a good night! David met us on arrival to talk us through the land. Exploring the property was a great stroll. You can tell he and his family put some love into it. The horses next door were so friendly and very happy for a pat. The bathroom was clean and a good distance from the site. The site was generous in size. It was a positive change to be away for a long weekend and not be fighting for space. A peaceful and lovely spot. Thanks so much David!

We would absolutely recommend this site! Camping under the shady liquid amber tress was very peaceful and relaxing. It was an easy walk to a clean and fully equipped toilet and sink, with access to the lake for a dip with fun inflatables. My son loved feeding the horses, and I enjoyed looking at the flowers and visiting the orchard. All in all a lovely experience!

Camping suitable for a young family

Lovely spot for a tranquil camping experience. David the host was very responsive and kindly swapped our location to a shady spot during the hot weather. Great stay for a young family with plenty of things to do close by. Would recommend anyone looking for a comfortable adventure among the flowers.

Very clear, easy to follow guide to find our spot. We were given a lovely site to set up by the dam. It was relaxing to kick back & listen to the bird life in the area, also far enough out of Sydney to good star viewing. A really nice property & helpful hosts.

Lake front Retro Glamping.
The green camper had everything we need and provided a private piece of land. The bed was super comfy and outdoor shower was perfect for the hot weather. The horses were such a treat to wake up to each morning. We will definitely be back

Pink Retro Glamping! Sleeps 2
My friend and I loved glamping in the pink retro caravan. The caravan was clean and cosy. The other green caravan was pretty far away from us so we had some privacy which was great. We had a great time exploring the property, the flower gardens and giving the horses some love. We had so much fun and will be coming back again :D Thank you David for hosting us!

I recently spent a long weekend at Silky Oaks Flower Farm and it was a fantastic experience! Quiet and Peaceful One of the standout features of this campsite was its tranquility. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and unwinding. I truly appreciated the serene environment, making it easy to disconnect from daily stress. Spacious and Comfortable The spaciousness of the site was another highlight. Each campsite had ample room, which made it feel private even when there were others around. It was nice to have space to set up our gear and still enjoy some personal time. Not Too Crowded This site wasn’t overcrowded. We had plenty of room to explore and enjoy the surroundings without feeling cramped or overwhelmed. It was ideal for those looking to escape the busy camping scene. Easy Access Getting to Silky Oaks Flower Farm was a breeze. The roads were well-maintained and clearly marked, making it an easy destination for a quick getaway. This accessibility is a huge plus for anyone looking to maximize their relaxation time. Perfect for a Long Weekend Overall, I highly recommend Silky Oaks Flower Farm for a long weekend escape. If you are after a quiet place near Sydney to relax by the campfire, this place is perfect.

A secluded corner of this property, with plenty of privacy yet close enough to the amenities. A working farm next door makes some interesting noises! But the bird life at dawn drowns that out.

Loved our clamping experience! The pink caravan was so retro and fun! BBQ, fire pit, gas cooktop in the van everything you need! Potaloo on site and an outdoor shower with gas heater. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Site 6- Liquid Ambers
Site 6 was just perfect, best of all the sites I’d say. Private enough, walking distance to a well kept bathroom, plenty of sun but also plenty of shade. Potable water was a bit far though so bring your own for convenience, but there’s a tap for dishes right nearby. If the weather was bad, I’d be a little worried in my small 2WD, but luckily the weather was perfect.

Escape & Relax...
Lake front Retro Glamping.
We loved our stay at Silky Oaks! Perfect spot to escape & relax... The green retro campervan had just the right amount of mod-cons, and certainly added to the chilled vibe of the surrounding property. David was wonderful with communication and everything was easy to find. Would definitely come back and can highly recommend!

Lovely quiet spot with beautiful native gardens and woodland. David was very accommodating to help get an appropriate site for a one night stay after lots of rain. Easy access.
