Toilet and Water provided but respect us by taking your own rubbish with you. Beautiful little stream with rapids and rock holes to keep yourself cool in summer. More than welcome to bring hiking shoes, mountain bikes to go explore. As long as you respect the farm rules and if the gate is shut you shut it behind you. No 4wding is permitted on the farm. Animal feeding is an activity we provide with food available to buy for the animals. Thank you :) The beginnings of a regenerative farm dedicated to recovering the native lands while growing food for delicious homemade meals. Just a short drive from Nimbin, it's a beautiful base camp to explore this wonderful region, but also offers plenty if you just wish to kick back in nature during your stay. Enjoy our private creek, rolling hills, and native wildlife. Surrounded by ancient rainforests, waterfalls, and swim holes there are not many better ways to recharge the batteries and escape the hustle of life. You are welcome to choose your own spot on our 90 acres, and we can help advise of some good locations. All sites are for self-contained travelers, those that have their own camp toilet and can take all waste with them when they leave. The property is most suited to 4WD, high clearance vehicles, and off-road campers. Caravans and motorhomes will find it difficult to reach most areas to camp. Children under 12 stay free! Please still add children to the booking (you will not be charged) so we can keep on top of guest numbers. You're welcome to bring your furry four-legged friends along to camp too, but please ensure they do not hassle the livestock or travel across the creek, we have neighbouring properties all around us. Please feel free to swim in the creek wherever you please and you are most welcome to walk up the creek to adventure. There are some beautiful secluded spots and swimming holes, but please do not cross the creek, our neighbours like their privacy. If you arrive to extreme weather conditions please contact us before entering the property as we may have to recommend some safe spots for camping.

Camping here was amazing so much room not squished next to other campers everyone has there own space if your going yourself or with a group lots of different areas you can camp on I would highly recommend to any one who want a few day away or even longer as it’s secluded but also not far from a small town

We had a great time camping here. Booked last minute for a group of 7. Made a big campfire with fire food from the campsite, lots of kangaroos waiting for our arrival and great covered cooking area. Perfect for some peace and bird watching, a great experience ☺️ Tully came down to meet us when we had questions and was very friendly and helpful!

Weekend Trip to Sugar Beach Ranch - Horse Holidays

Wow! Just us, the horses and the beach. Met Stevey the 1st day. Warm and welcoming and I must say a big thanks to you Stevey for sharing your little spot of paradise. The camp spot was flat, grassy and private. Clean toilet provided and fresh water that you can hook your van up to if you want (we didn't). At night it's just you and the horses. Then day time all the friendly horse people are tending to their passions and giving you a friendly hello. Then to top it off you grab your Esky and fishing rod and head to the beach 500 metres away. Patting the horses along the way. When you get to the beach you are virtually the only one there. This spot is definitely in our top 3. We will be back with family and friends for sure.

We had a lovely weekend at Oakey Ridge. It was very quiet and peaceful, beautiful outlook. We had a reasonably flat camp site and it was very private. There were other groups there but we were a good distance from them. We enjoyed the bird life and the friendly cows stopping by to say hi. Greg was a very friendly and helpful host and checked in with us and had a chat without being intrusive. We’ll definitely be back and would certainly recommend Oakey Ridge.

We went camping there for a couple of days and it was absolutely beautiful! We were visited by the adorable cows that roam the farm and enjoyed amazing sunsets from our site. Greg was more than happy to show us around and show us the sites, he was very accommodating and helped us with any questions or concerns. We will definitely be coming back for another camping trip and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit!

It was a delight to experience my first Hipcamp (and first clothing optional camp) at Gingernut Farm. Such a wonderful 5 days. Craig, Andy and Greg were wonderful hosts and Gingernut is a quiet property with a lovely creek, paddocks, bushland and wildlife. Amenities down at the main campground are basic, but functional. I’ll definitely be back! Thankyou fellas and the other campers for making my stay at Gingernut such a warm and positive experience.
