There is a grocery store in Burringbar - The Barn - that also sells alcohol, and pizza available on Fridays, and Thai food available for eat in or takeaway on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The property is set on a ridgetop, with forest all around, and views over the forest to the south west, and east to the ocean, which is a 15-minute drive away. There are walking tracks to explore from your door, and a national park to trek in just a few hundred metres away. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is just 5 minute cycle or drive away, in Burringbar. This is a wonderful mainly flat cycle path going through tunnels, fields and forest, with many picturesque bridges on the way. This is a perfect place to enjoy nature in peace and quiet, sitting on the large deck to watch for wildlife... many birds, goannas and you might even spot a koala. It is peaceful and private. The cabin is roomy and comfortable - with a main lounge/bedroom, a kitchen/pantry, plus bathroom with shower & composting toilet, and a good sized deck looking east. Facilities include a queen sized bed, an indoor wood fire for winter time, a basic kitchen, and a table and chairs. We are off grid so there is solar power, and clean tank water. We provide drinking water in a filtered urn, and basic tea & coffee. There is no wifi, but there is internet access available from your own phone. This is a perfect place to wind down and enjoy the natural environment. There is a grocery store in Burringbar - The Barn - that also sells alcohol, and pizza available on Fridays, and Thai food available for eat in or takeaway on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you have friends with you that are camping, there is room next to the cabin for tents, or a campervan.

Barachi by the creek is an absolutely magical place. Peaceful, secluded and surrounded by natural beauty while giving you everything you need for a trip away without all the mod cons. Pete and Tania are speedy and effective in communication and are awesome hosts. Cannot recommend this enough. You will not regret your decision to book. Bit of a walk down and back up but that was part of the charm. Earn your holiday!

We had the most incredible night at Peter and Tania's cabin! The cabin was so decked out with everything we needed and the beds were comfier than the ones at home! The dog and the kids loved the creek, we hiked and explored the paddocks :) A big storm rolled in and we all watched the lighting from the porch and all slept so cozy with rain on the tin roof! Solar shower was perfect to give everyone a wash! Beautiful property and very private, we will most certainly come back again! Peter was so easy to communicate with and made sure we were all set. Great experience thanks so much 🙏🏼

We were absolutely stoked with the Figtree House, it was perfect for our extended family. Very comfortable, private, and had everything we needed. Loved the firepit! The location of the Ingenia park is great too, a short drive from town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the pool was loved by the kids!

This was a great place to stay for our family, which included our dog who could roam around and was really happy. We loved the serenity, exploring the creek/surrounds and unplugging from technology - cards and Yahtzee are a must! The barbecue was great for cooking and I recommend doing a fire at night. The accommodation is as described and I would definitely recommend the buggy ride down/back for luggage. If you do want to go back to your car and do some exploring around Modenville, it is a fair walk (30-35 mins) from the shack so be aware of that if you have younger kids or are not that mobile you probably just want to hang out down at the shack. Only small negative was the shower was pretty basic. Peter and Tania were great as well, make sure you have a chat and ask any questions. Overall - highly recommended.

We stayed in the new cabin and it was perfect. Comfy bed, furnished and decorated beautifully. The little outhouse toilet was clean and located in a great position. The farm is in a good location and the animals are friendly. The sound of the running creek is extremely relaxing. We found good sized agates and common opal in the creek. We would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back again, hopefully soon. The hosts are super friendly and helpful.

This is the best dog friendly property l've yet to find. Dog towels, bowls and blanket provided. Dogs allowed off leash and such great swimming holes along the creek. Very peaceful at night. Cabin had everything l needed, very tastefully decorated. Highly recommend and hope to get back there again. Had a 2 night stay but could have easily stayed longer, unfortunately the real world was calling

Accessing the rail trail was very easy, just down the road, ride straight from the door. If you’re looking for a comfortable, private base to take on the trail and enjoy the surrounding sights I highly recommend a stay here.

This is the sweetest spot! Tucked in amongst hills and paddocks, private and peaceful. The dog had the best time too. Creek, cows, birds, and quiet. Only regret is not staying longer. Would love to go back.
