Stunning location and also a scenic drive in.
Very peaceful and felt nicely isolated up on top with beautiful Mountain View’s.
Loads of birdlife to bring the morning in was also a nice treat.
Heed the advice to make contact if there has been wet weather, as a short section of track to the site can be a challenge.

Great that there is sun shade provided in the paddock in the morning, and come the afternoon the creek has shade.
Protester falls are really impressive! Definitely worth an afternoon visit
The camp sight is very simple but Peter has done well building a composting toilet structure.
The water temps were beautiful for Dec.
bring bug spray and a flotation device for the creek. The roads driving there aren’t wonderful and feel like they go on and on. Pack what you need because it’s quite remote. Also we loved it but it’s very off grid… No signal.

We stayed for two nights at the Big Dam Camp Site and it was absolutely beautiful. Anna’s hospitality was incredible — she went above and beyond during our stay, and I would 100% recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back! 🥰
We forgot our gas bottles and all the firewood was wet, but Anna helped us out and even lent us her own gas bottle. We’re so thankful for such an amazing host!
The campsite we chose had a little dam with a kayak, was extremely private, and was exactly what we were looking for. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!

It was amazing private clean area, the creek was fantastic , perfect surroundings.
Peter was lovely but left us alone , great communication.
Take bug spray and if you take a pet make sure it is treated for tick, flees, mites. My dog was infested after 24 hours because she likes to roll around and she is treated monthly without fail .

We had an incredible stay at Big Dam Camp, Tweed Valley (Doon Doon Farm). The views were absolutely stunning, and the sense of isolation made it feel like our own private piece of paradise. Surrounded by nature, with friendly cows wandering by and peaceful scenery all around, it was the perfect escape. Just a short drive to Nimbin too, which made for a great day trip. Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to unwind and reconnect with nature.

We booked to stay here last minute from Byron and were very happy with the experience. We were the only ones staying, so had lots of space. There were lovely views over the river and beautiful sunset and moon rise. The staff were lovely and accommodating too. Would definitely stay here again and recommend! Next time we will walk to Eltham Pub :)
