The large campsite and cabin are located on a level, grassed area with plenty of space to pitch tents, or park campers and caravans.
Children just love the level grassy land to run and just be a kid. It's perfect for games like cricket, soccer, and football to name a few.
The amenities block has both toilet and shower, and there is also power available to connect up to. A large sheltered area, our camp kitchen, includes fridge, barbeque, electricity, kettle, table, chairs and more.
Enjoy bird watching, visiting wallabies in the late afternoon, or looking for fossils in the seasonal creek just a few metres away.
The historical town of Stroud is only 10 or so minutes away if you need supplies.
Karuah River is close by for swimming and fishing, and the Barrington Tops National Park is approximately 50 minutes away.
Ride Dungog is located at The Common in Dungog, for mountain bike enthusiasts. The area includes 650 acres offering trails for all different levels.
While visiting Dungog, there are boutique cafes and shops, a historic cinema, and a lot more to see as you wander through the streets.

The Back Road Van is a 22 foot Viscount Supreme caravan, circa 1970's, in fairly original condition. Sitting on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley, and only a 7 minute drive from the village of Bulahdelah. (Note : 5kms of sealed road and 2kms of unsealed gravel road from town - suitable for all vehicles.)
The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Inside it features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided; a lounge area; plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. (Note : the van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. )
The van is covered by a large shelter - including an open seating area with lounge; table and chairs, a breakfast bar; and small gas BBQ.
There is a fire pit which can be used in Winter and Autumn and when fire restrictions allow. We supply all wood for the fire.
It also has its own separate bathroom, with shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels are supplied.

The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Fantastic place to get away from all the hustle and bustle we call life, have been here multiple times now loved it each time! This is our go to place for a getaway, Jacci & her husband are extremely accomidating and so pleasantly nice they make the experience that much nicer, would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and doesnt mind some furry and feathered friends walking around their camp site. Oh and also there's a pool!

We only stayed at the glamping site for one night, but wow — what a magical time we had! The vast land, with wallabies and cows and birds singing. The amazing amenities: the outdoor tub, the kitchen, the comforts of the tent. The highlight was having a hot bath under the starry sky and topping it off with marshmallows by the fire. Weekend Trip to Cranky Rock Hunter Valley
Such a beautiful experience! We loved our stay here at Cranky Rock. The cabin is so unique with so many cool details, the more you look the more you find. The property is also incredible! We stayed with our dog who loved the horses and we also spotted multiple deer which I’ve never seen before so was thrilled about that. The hosts Pam and Lindsey were so welcoming and lovely, made us feel so at home. The best part, it’s dog friendly so you can bring your fur babies! We had such a great time here and thank you so much for having us 🩷

4 nights at The Bower Farm
The Bower Farm was absolutely stunning, Rach and Matt were great hosts and very accommodating. We loved our stay so much it was hard to leave. The tent was clean and cozy and had plenty of games/books to keep you entertained. Picking our own sunflowers in the field was a highlight, alongside relaxing by the fire on the hammock and soaking under the stars in the hot tub. Highly recommend staying here if you want uninterrupted time in nature. Will definitely be back.

2 nights at Glamping Vineyard Getaway
We had an amazing experience, largely thanks to the incredible location and how comfortable everything was. Set in a peaceful, scenic spot, it felt wonderfully secluded while still being easy to access. The accommodation itself was exceptionally comfortable and felt cozy while still being so spacious . The set up made it so easy and all the necessary cooking utensils were provided which made the cooking situation a breeze , would highly recommend to anyone.

Weekend Trip to The Bower Farm
Our stay at the Regent Bower was so relaxing which is exactly what we wanted. After being greeted by Matt we were left on our own to experience and appreciate the facilities and area. There was everything we needed, from cooking equipment to a fridge to cleaning products to the toilet and shower facilities. Plus extra comfort items like a very comfortable bed and multiple seats to relax in, plus a hammock. They went out of our way to ensure we were comfortable in the 40 degree heat and there was plenty of shade for us to relax in as well. Still very close to Stroud for shops and worth a short drive to Gloucester, Dungog or Barrington Tops NP for a day trip.

Our family glamping trip at The Bower Farm Tent was an absolute success—we're already planning our next visit! The genuine hospitality and incredible personal touches made this experience truly unforgettable.
The owners' effort was outstanding. Traveling with three kids can be tricky, but they expertly set up the tent for all three girls' comfort. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay.
The real highlight for our horse-mad eldest was the special horse riding lesson organized on-site at the Bower Farm—zero travel time and the thrill of her year! The girls also loved their brilliant, long ride on the family farm tractor.
Their generosity shone through in the stunning fresh food pack: delicious farm eggs, a tasty local wine, amazing local sourdough bread, and little treats for the kids. Every item was carefully chosen.
Finally, the setting is pure magic. We were lucky to spot kangaroos and mesmerizing fireflies! Nothing beats the hot tub and campfire beneath that incredible starry sky—far from the city lights, the stars are truly breathtaking.
Thank you for the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and kindness. We highly recommend The Bower Farm Tent for a five-star escape!

We loved staying in the church, it is simply unique and swimming in the pristine river so refreshing! Graham and Chris are so lovely and very hospitable, little touches such as vases of fresh home grown flowers and herbs make it special! The bucket shower is the best!! The Regent Bower is a hidden gem nestled just a stone's throw away from the historic Stroud Village centre. It's a perfect place for luxurious glamping with excellent and high quality facilities. Both Rachel and Matt are amazing hosts who have devoted their hearts into making a superb glamping experience for their guests. They have been very responsive to any queries and have organised a private lama encounter which was an icing on the cake!

We had such a relaxing time! A hidden oasis amongst the trees & wildlife. We had everything we needed. So many little touches that wouldn’t even be expected, but were greatly appreciated- Pete & Margot clearly care about the experience of their guests which is so refreshing & we were very grateful.
We will look to stay again, and would recommend to couples or an individual who want to relax and use it as a base to explore some of the fantastic beaches nearby (Seals Rock was a great recommendation from Pete).

I had the most amazing stay at The Back Road Van. Pete and Margot are generous and thoughtful, but distant hosts. This is one of those finds that you want to keep your own secret, yet tell everyone about. Highlights for me were stargazing at night by the firepit and my morning cuppas looking out at the wildlife.
