Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire and Repairs. linktr.ee/wrightyscaravans. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy. Pets allowed but you must have on lead when walking around the property near cattle. Note a maximum of 2 dogs per camp site. Rules: 1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 4.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 7pm may be turned away in busy times. 2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock 3. 9pm quiet time. 4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers 5. If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). Happy camping!

Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

While others are seeking space, nature, a river side camping spot, a mountain bike focused holiday with the fam, or a cheap group stay right on the river. And others just simply LOVE this area and come back each year, and bring their dog! Guudji Yiigu Nyiirunang - Birpi for Welcome Everyone! while ... Teretulemast is an Estonian name, it means WELCOME. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! Very well maintained. Obvious the owners take great care in presentation and cleanliness. Rick and Cheryl were very friendly but respectful of campers space. The long drops have no foul odour and pleasant to use. Best we’ve seen. We felt welcome from arrival. The kayaks were a welcome addition and being free to use was a fantastic addition.

This was our first time at a Hipcamp site and boy were we spoiled. A very special location on the banks of a safe, swimmable river. A beautifully maintained, flat paddock suiting several different camping options. Very clean and quirky drop toilets and you can even order fresh eggs / firewood on request. While we didn’t take the farm tour, do remember this is a working farm with livestock and in places electric fences. We were a couple, with an energetic puppy (who was in heaven!) but it’s also a great place families with kids - with playswings, kayaks etc. Cheryl and Rick were highly responsive and thoughtful. Absolutely lovely spot! Perfect grassy sites right on the beautiful river with lovely swimming holes. Our dogs also had the best time playing and swimming. We had a lovely paddle up river in the kayaks and our daughter made use of the boogie boards having a float in the river. We will definitely be back!

Thanks Susan and Bernard.. what a wonderful idyllic place this is! The children LOVED playing with Sally (their beautiful & clever border collie) all day long, and the adults LOVED the space, right next to the river. It was a wonderful and unique experience, especially for us city dwellers. Make sure you get the campfire package! Susan also brought the kids into her ‘petting zoo’ and they got to cuddle rabbits, baby chicks, guinea pigs… So fun.

Forested and beautiful, our 350 acre property inside Mount Boss State Forest is on forestry roads. We are a remote bush block 40 mins from Wauchope. Access is by competent 4 wheel drive, foot or horseback. We can cater to off road caravans and trailers and are a good option for pre journey gear shake downs, digital detox, nature embracing or practising for an appearance on Alone. This an experience for self sufficient campers seeking a complete detachment from the outside world and while we are always here to help, we would prefer you turn up able to cope with the conditions. The property is between two spurs in the Mt Banda Banda ridgeline -its a bowl. The northern section is temperate rainforest, the southern section is cleared with stands of regen and mature trees. Numerous springs, dams and creeks, plenty of pristine water. Wildlife is everywhere, yabbies, eels, frogs, birds, reptiles and marsupials including koalas. There are also horses, poultry and dogs, therefore, no pets permitted. Campsites are varied, depending on your set up and location preferences there, rain forest creek to high peak lookouts. Fire wood is freely available, we are happy to advise our requirements around any fires to be lit on the property. Weather changes considerably across the year. The current winter so far has been damp and cold, its the mountains, we get frosts. I think this is glorious and if you enjoy temperatures below 4 degrees, frosty mornings at the fire, giant sapphire skies, and crystal sunny days, then its prefect.... Possibly spring would be the thing? There are blossoms and blue sky, and the bees start moving. Or summer, forest swimming pools...... There are always dams, creeks, hills, forests, to explore, and also the rare option of doing absolutely nothing on a sunny afternoon when all that happens is one plane flies over, a far away silver streak..... The property has no functional mobile reception. High speed Wi-Fi is available free of charge, along with standard bush internet cafe facilities, (run down caravan, squawking geese, very strong coffee). Please be aware when booking that this is a bush block, it is wild. If you come out and ask for a refund because the grass is long I will laugh at you. Self sufficent wild folk only.

Your ideal getaway - limited, private camp sites just a few K's off the Oxley Highway for a quiet overnight stop-over? ...or maybe you'd like to spend a few days chillaxing in a quiet and secure location (we have a locked gate and provide access code). Here you can set up your base camp to safely leave and do day trips to get out and explore the beautiful surrounding area. Only 45 min from Port Macquarie, 30 min to Wauchope and just 10 min to Long Flat where there's a Pub for takeaway, a social drink as well as food and sometimes live music on weekends. The General Store has general supplies, takeaway, PO and fuel. Retaining the peace and tranquillity of our property is important to us and why the number of sites and campers is limited. Although there are designated camping spots we're happy to be flexible if you arrive and would like to relocate within our extensive 'camping area' ...depending on weather conditions and respecting the personal space of other campers. We have livestock (currently horses) running throughout the property - some can be very friendly but please don't approach or feed them. We prefer no dogs but will allow if dogs remain well controlled, tethered or on a leash - this is for the safety of your pet as well as the livestock and wildlife. You will see and hear all kinds of wildlife, particularly morning and evening when they are most active. There are no amenities, rubbish or water facilities so come prepared, take what you brought and leave it as you found it. There is one only port-a-loo with pop-up-tent available for hire if required. You are welcome to take a walk or pushbike and enjoy the peace and nature but please no driving of vehicles or use of motorcycles or quads. PLEASE NOTE: Fire restrictions from September 1st and usually continue during Summer. Fire Permits are not required for fires for the purpose of cooking food, provided that: 1. the fire is in a permanently constructed fireplace. Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry. If you value your privacy, then you are at the right place. We have just one exclusive campsite on our 40 acres. You are hidden away and guaranteed privacy from the host accommodations. Private access is by 4WD only. Farm route is accessible by 2WD in dry weather - check with hosts before or on confirmation of booking. Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you. On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site. Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in. Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area. Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Fresh rainwater is available. The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.) Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way. There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees. Guests are welcome to explore down the creek where you'll find some great swimming holes. For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines which are regularly maintained with a mower. There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup. And if you are feeling more adventurous, Rawson Falls and Ellenborough Falls make lovely day trips. And Comboyne Rock provides some stunning views. Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.

Heartwood Farm is a centrally located 120 acres on the Mid-North Coast - about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, only 1.5 kms off Pacific Highway, 25 mins to Port Macquarie, 15 Mins to Kempsey, 30 minutes to Crescent Head and 45 mins to South West Rocks. There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. We have also seen turtles, frilled neck lizards, diamond pythons, red belly black snakes (rarely) and goannas.

Set amongst the rolling green hills, we offer a cute cabin and a mountain top shack located on a working farm. Go for a mountain bike, a scenic walk or check out the Ellenborough River for a swim. We are located near Comboyne National Park if you're looking for adventures further afield.The cabin is kitted out with a basic kitchen, toilet/shower amenities and water. Enjoy the beautiful night sky as you chill out around the campfire. There are two double beds. Please bring your own bed linen and towels. There is no fridge - you will need to bring your own esky.The shack sits on an amazing mountain 600m above sea-level in the hinterland west of Port Macquarie, is accessible by 4WD only. You must have a proper 4WD and have knowledge of how to navigate steep, isolated tracks. It has basic amenities and is best suited for those with their own swag and camping supplies. Roll out the swag and keep warm from the elements. Drinking water available. You will need to bring all other supplies including your own toilet and shower. Dogs welcome.We are located near Comboyne National Park. This place is perfect for hiking enthusiasts and avid photographers - the views are absolutely stunning.The hinterland west of the Central Coast offer an abundance of beautiful scenery, rolling green hills and plenty of wildlife. Enjoy 10 acres of nature, with lots of peace & serenity yet just 10min to boutique town of Wingham 30min to beautiful Old Bar Beach (dog friendly) 20 min to Taree & just 30min drive from A1 highway. Wingham has award winning coffee & dining, golf club, town hotel with great meals & live bands most weekends, swimming pool (seasonal), bowling club, monthly markets, Coles, fuel, chemist, rifle range, clay pigeon shooting, famous brush walk to enjoy the resident bats & much more. Shared camp kitchen available with gas oven/stove & some pots, pans, plates, utensils etc. Camp kitchen has table & chairs & wash-up facilities with tank water. Outside Solar shower bag also set up where you can gaze at the sky above but private so modesty is protected! We have two full dams that host our 3 ducks, free range chooks (collect your own fresh eggs daily-not available in winter), 4 guinea fowl a couple of farm cats & awesome birds-Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Kookaburras. We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. NEED TO HAVE YOUR OWN TOILET FACILITIES WITH HOLDING TANK The Paddock suits all vehicles- Max 3 parties at once. We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 3 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided). Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.
