Weekend Trip to Wildwoods - Private bush surrounds

My friends and I enjoyed the Paddock camp as there was plenty of space to set up our camp for the 2 nights we stayed. The surrounding areas were very scenic and the view was so good especially watching the sunset in the afternoon. All in all was a very good spot and would recommend visiting for sure

3 nights at Megalong Valley Farm

Was an amazing time down in the valley plenty of trails to walk and plenty of friendly animals to greet you (Boz was great to hang with). There wasn't many people either so was a very relaxing time away from noise. Would highly recommend this spot, maybe just go in summer (it gets pretty cold)

The site was massive, with so much to explore, and room to spread out from other campers. The animals that welcomed us in made the trip so much more enjoyable, as well as the farm dog that slept with us one night! The toilets and showers are always clean with fresh supplies. This was our 3rd visit here since we discovered this place a few months ago. We had site 2 this time. It probably has the nicest view out of all the sites, right next to the dam. But all 6 sites are very nice. As always the toilets were clean and stocked. There's 2 toilets to choose so you don't have to walk far, only around 20-30m. The kayaks are fun to use too, we went for a little paddle in the dark with our headlamps. It was fun, nobody fell in.

Hidden Terrace is an amazing camping ground surrounded by trees and mountain views, plus with all the amenities you need provided by Ian. Perfect for a tent or a campervan with easy access from the driveway and perfectly tucked away for peace and quiet. Highly recommend adding the Hot Spa and Star gazing at night for a wind down. Ian is exceptional in his hospitality and his love for the land and is shown through the care for the campsites.

What an absolutely beautiful spot. The cabin was beautifully presented with everything you could need for a few nights away. The fire kept the place warm and cosy and I loved the big windows and beautiful views into the valley. There was a very good and functional kitchen with a great selection of pots, pans and crockery and an easy space to work in. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a nice hot shower. Everything in the cabin design had been well thought out in great detail and I was very impressed. We both had an amazing weekend away and enjoyed beautiful meals in front of the fire and spent time during the day out trail running along the Six Foot Track. Our two dogs loved their stay too with plenty of space to run around. Loved hearing all the birds and seeing lots of wildlife too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, we loved it and can’t wait to come back again soon.

Buxton Getaway

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, where by you're the only camper able to book the site. Some are more private than others - Read each description for details. *Please note* access to the property is via Megalong Road - a narrow windy road, the only road in and out of Megalong Valley. Mellows Ridge

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

A beautiful and serene 40 acres just 5 kms from the wonderful Bundanoon village, the gateway to the Morton National Park, in the wonderful Southern Highlands NSW. We have a chain of dams to throw a line or catch some yabbies, even float around in the kayaks, or just sit beside and soak up the rays. We have horses, chooks, ducks and peafowl and a beautiful chocolate lab, Cleo. An easy and 10kms from the Hume Hwy there are numerous camp sites, a couple by the oak grove, a couple by the dam and with lovely rural vista. Kids stay free and are not included in the site capacity. Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay. We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location. The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing. Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings. Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property. Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly.
