It is about a 15 minute drive to Brunswick Heads with its beautiful river, estuary and beaches, and about 30 minutes to Byron Bay.
The Showground hosts a number of events throughout the year. Some of these are events are ticketed and therefore the Showgrounds is closed to all but ticketholders. See our 'What's On' page on our website for more information.

Camp under shady trees or in a grassy paddock. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite and it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed.

the main camping site is the creek flat in a large shady area with a swimming hole in the freshwater springfed creek with campfire and log seats.
there is an alternative camping site for wet weather in the front stone circle paddock 50mtrs from the creek bank. this area is a grassed paddock with morning shade but full sun throughout the day. there is no mobile reception on the property but a short walk up the driveway a few hundred meters away you can get reception at the property entrance should you need to make calls or get/snd msgs..
Property is located 8mins from the Pacific highway, 10mins from Mullumbimby or 18mins from Byron bay township pubs, restaurants and surfing beaches.
Approximately 20mins drive to Brunswick heads surfing beaches or Byron surfing beaches.
National parks for hiking or horse riding within 20mins drive. Can accommodate 2 horses in paddocks ($10per horse per night.) and parking space for horse float should you wish to bring your horses and enjoy some trails or beach riding in the area, I can give more information on places to ride on request.
other activities that can be booked at additional cost include Didgeridoo Making workshops for adults and didgeridoo painting workshops for kids. this is a full day activity for adults and a half day activity for kids doing didgeridoo painting workshops. please enquire for more info and prices.

A beautiful stroll to the nearby river is a wonderful experience as you explore, swim, canoe, Kayak or float down the river (1.2 klm) in the beauty of nature around you. You can even throw a line in and you might catch a fish. There is a lovely covered platform you can sit on as you reflect. If you are quiet enough you might see a platypus or two or catch a fish.

The road is a dirt road, please check local weather prior to arrival, ground may be soggy if it's been raining recently.

There are walking tracks or bike riding for kids, if you have a horse or pony you can bring them along too. How about a game of outdoors skittles or spot the native plants, pick a citrus fruit or maybe spot a wallaby, echidna, possum or laugh with the kookaburra's.
There is a natural stone campfire where you can sit at night or meet other campers, or just to sit and gaze at the stars. Tales of the past might be spoken if asked. You can hear the night birds and owls. If you are lucky you will see fire fly in the right season.
A great place to relax, spend family quality time together, uninterrupted by technology and you relive the Shalom-peace of nature, making memories that you will keep for a lifetime.
The little quaint villages that surround Federal are great for a visit. If you want the best sushi in the area then stop at the popular Doma Cafe next to the general store in Federal, you will want to visit more than once after your taste buds have been awakened.
Byron bay is a 15-20 min drive on a scenic drive, or visit the biggest little town in Australia Mullumbimby a 15-18 min drive. Bangalow and Lennox heads, Lovely beaches at Brunswick Heads or Ocean Shores are all within 35 min drive the choice is yours. Magical Minyon Falls with its powerful and wonderful waterfalls and uninhabited valley is a must. Don't forget to go bushwalking while you are there. There are also other national parks like mount Jerusalem that are close by.
The farm does have orchards. Slashing and planting of vegetables will be happening soon everything is organic. If you would like to purchase some organic farm jam just let me know.
The stone wall entrance was constructed at the turn of last century and you feel like you have stepped back in time as you imagine those who came across the area as they were amazed at what the area had to offer.
Remember it is the Australian bush so there could be snakes just. as there is with all bush in Australia about depending on the time of the year. There is a first aid kit on the property. The local hospital is in Byron 15 minute drive away. A toilet is completed.
We have had a celebrity stay for a weekend so you never know who you will see. There are celebrities that live in Federal so you may bump into one.
If you arrive without placing a booking, you will be turned away. Please use the directions sent to you after placing a booking to stay at this property.

National parks for hiking or horse riding within 20mins drive. There are walking tracks or bike riding for kids, if you have a horse or pony you can bring them along too. How about a game of outdoors skittles or spot the native plants, pick a citrus fruit or maybe spot a wallaby, echidna, possum or laugh with the kookaburra's.
There is a natural stone campfire where you can sit at night or meet other campers, or just to sit and gaze at the stars. Tales of the past might be spoken if asked. You can hear the night birds and owls. If you are lucky you will see fire fly in the right season.
A great place to relax, spend family quality time together, uninterrupted by technology and you relive the Shalom-peace of nature, making memories that you will keep for a lifetime.
The little quaint villages that surround Federal are great for a visit. If you want the best sushi in the area then stop at the popular Doma Cafe next to the general store in Federal, you will want to visit more than once after your taste buds have been awakened.
Byron bay is a 15-20 min drive on a scenic drive, or visit the biggest little town in Australia Mullumbimby a 15-18 min drive. Bangalow and Lennox heads, Lovely beaches at Brunswick Heads or Ocean Shores are all within 35 min drive the choice is yours. Magical Minyon Falls with its powerful and wonderful waterfalls and uninhabited valley is a must. Don't forget to go bushwalking while you are there. There are also other national parks like mount Jerusalem that are close by.
The farm does have orchards. Slashing and planting of vegetables will be happening soon everything is organic. If you would like to purchase some organic farm jam just let me know.
The stone wall entrance was constructed at the turn of last century and you feel like you have stepped back in time as you imagine those who came across the area as they were amazed at what the area had to offer.
Remember it is the Australian bush so there could be snakes just. as there is with all bush in Australia about depending on the time of the year. There is a first aid kit on the property. The local hospital is in Byron 15 minute drive away. A toilet is completed.
We have had a celebrity stay for a weekend so you never know who you will see. There are celebrities that live in Federal so you may bump into one.

All well distanced from each other. The propery is on a quiet country no-through road. Sites are all fairly level, best to bring levellers if you require it dead level;)
The village is an easy walk, ride, or drive away (just over 1 km).
Great location for camping and enjoying nature. Loads of birdlife and if you are lucky enough, you might get a glimpse of a platypus in the creek or Koalas as we have a Koala corridor on our property & also Wallabies.
The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is nearby and is great for walking and bike riding.
Wooyung and Pottsville Beaches are less than 15 minute's drive.
The townships of Murwillumbah and Brunswick Heads are also only 15 minute's drive away.
The village of Burringbar is only 30 minutes from Byron Bay and or the Gold Coast.
In the village itself there are options for food, drink and entertainment, with a General store, Post office, Thai restaurant, Natural Wine Shop, Coffee Shops, Pharmacy, Butcher, Cheese factory, and Sports Club .

We are a working turf farm located just off the highway at Pottsville. It's an easy 9 minute drive to Pottsville Beach and we offer a flat patch of grassed land next to a dam with a maximum of 4 separate occupants (so it will never be crazy and over crowded like a caravan park).
The perfect spot to spread out and relax, have a camp fire, look at the trees and explore the wonders Northern Rivers has to offer. These include beautiful beach's, walks, hikes, the Tweed Valley Rail Trail and Uki Mountain bike park all close by.

The property is set at the foot of Mount Jerusalem National Park. Mountain-view camping site offer a peaceful escape, with cool, fresh air and the scent of pine. During the day, the mountains shift in the light, something sharp and bright, other times soft and blue. The highlight is the sunset, with the sky turning orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets behind the peaks.
At night, the mountains stand under a starry sky, creating a calm, timeless atmosphere. Camping here isn't just about the view- it's about connecting with nature and enjoying the quiet moments.
There is about a 20-minute bush walk to the mountain lookout near the campsite, where you can view the whole countryside from the lookout.
There is a flushing toilet, shower, camp kitchen.
* Power hook-up is available upon request for some sites at an ADDITIONAL COST of $10 per night for tents or $20 per night for caravans/camp-trailer which is payable in cash on ARRIVAL. PLEASE NOTE, you will need to supply your own power cord approx 30 metres long.

Weekend Trip to Trickling Waters Retreat
Do not hesitate to book time here at Trickling Waters. We spent two nights in the glamping tent and it was simply amazing. Everything you need to stay off grid in ‘luxury’ is provided. Separate, personal shower block away 20m from the living space. The spacious tent boast full size fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave with a full comfortable queen size bed. Full power provided for devices and any other accessory you bring with you (we had a coffee machine). Off grid with no access to internet is perfect with the site next to your ‘own’ water hole with water cascading from the upper creek into your water hole as it meanders further down the property. The firepit sits next to the creek and is the cherry on top to this idyllic location. Cooking on the BBQ with the sink next to it to clean up after a meal on the deck before sitting back in o relax to the sound of running water and the local bird life. Beautiful way to spend a weekend without worrying about set up and break down but still bedding down under a tent away from the busyness of life. We highly recommend staying here as you are well looked after by the owners and their exceptional accomodation.

A huge plus was having campfire wood provided, which made the nights perfect. The amenities were spotless, and the sink was top-tier—it made cleaning up so much easier. Highly recommend this retreat!

Weekend Trip to Trickling Waters Retreat
This glamping spot is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. We were so pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully Kat had provided everything needed for a luxurious camping experience.
Having power in the tent was a huge bonus, along with the large fridge, microwave, and fan. The fire being all set up and ready to go was such a lovely extra touch. The creek is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green grass, and the setting feels very private and peaceful.
The shower was amazing, and honestly, everything was just perfect. We would highly recommend this special place and will definitely be back.

We loved staying at Grant's place. It's only 3 minutes drive to the centre of Mullumbimby but it's out in the country.
Occasionally we heard some distant traffic noise but it was rare.
We were the only people camping at the place when we were there but the sites are quite spacious and flat.

Firstly not sure if I can sum up this HipCamp in such a small review. From first making the booking, before leaving and during my stay the communication was quick and all instructions were really clear. The property is stunning, well kept and the facilities are amazing. The shower/toilet is phenomenal, clean and everything you need. The camp kitchen with sink and power is a nice touch. Wood fire was filled with wood and all I had to do was light it. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again soon. In the top 3 Hipcamps I have stayed it (been using Hipcamp years).

We had the best time staying here despite changes in our plans due to the weather, the local stores and restaurants are great and despite only briefly being able to explore the railway trail in break of rain we had a blast. The cabin itself is set up amazingly and they have done an amazing job of planting different vegetation and making the property feel like a magical spot. 5/5 ⭐
My only feedback is the tubs for kitchen storage would be a little easier to use if they their contents were labelled on the tub but that's my only piece of constructive feedback for the place.

Excellent location! We originally booked one night as a late arrival stopover but decided to extend and use as a base to explore the Tweed and Byron areas. The ideal spot for a base or a one night pull in, very close to beaches without squeezing in to a van park. Was suitable for our large set up too! Hosts are friendly and communication excellent.

This was a really beautiful property! Definitely recommend site 1 as it was beautiful and the most private. We could’ve spent all of our time down at the creek, it was lovely. Also definitely make sure you take a shower. Sounds nuts but the plants around while showering in warm water was 👌🏽
