Wonderful night stay! Despite being reasonably close to Allan’s house, it was so private and quiet. Love the swing, picnic table, and cubby house, but the selling point was the HOT shower under the stars! 🤩 Such a calming place to unwind overlooking the cow paddocks and mountains.

Nick's land is beautiful, lush green trees to shade you. The is creek right beside all 3 sites and the sound of the water is magical. The toilets are clean and easily accessible. The shower, once the gas was turned on, was great. Up the Creek is an easy 3km from the start of the rail trail at the Crabbes Creek end. We had a lovely few days enjoying the region. We were caught in a very heavy rain storm and Nick was a great host and checked in on us, offering dry fire wood. Not inclined to cook in the rain, we drove a short way up the road to Mooball for a cold beer and steak! Definitely recommend.

Thanks Nick, This was our 3rd stay and as usual the toilet was very clean and the grounds well kept ,, we happened to have an extremely wet 36 hours, the creek was really flowing and our site was well drained . We will be back to again ride the rail trail. Regards Dave and Rosemary

Great piece of land and only a 45min drive from the Gold Coast. We had a 3 night stay and the kids lived riding bikes and swimming in the river. James was really nice and the land was kept well. We will be back for sure!

Love this place , it was our second time coming and it’s just so peaceful and beautiful. Greg is so accomodating and helped us out many times with whatever we needed. We stayed on the ridge at the top the first time and was just stunning and stayed down the bottom this time and was also stunning also with the cows and the meadow. Thanks for helping us out with an air mattress you saved our trip ! Will be back again !

7 nights at Rainforest Gateway

Location awesome on running river. Shallow in parts few deeper sections. Plenty of turtles, eels and fish. Don’t bother you whilst swimming. Beautiful manicured large grass flat area some with power and water but be sure to take extra long hose and electrical cord. You can locate close to edge of rubber but need longer cord. Great for kicking a footy and frisbees. Creek is down an embankment and not accessible from most sites, just have to walk down to certain places. Awesome big camp kitchen with everything, only thing sad to say is very very small fridge for size of place and kitchen. Facilities old but spotless located behind cabins. Cabins I think don’t have own bathrooms. Yes 20 mins out of town but the drive to town is worth it as just beautiful hills and great rd. Train runs past a couple of times per day and only for 15 secs and enjoyed seeing but only a glimpse through the trees. Not noisy at all. Town is plenty big enough, had all and 3 op shops too. Last Saturday of month a great wellness market. Different things to see and a tad up town was a small farmers market. That may be every Saturday. Overall highly recommend.
