We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere.
Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops.
Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle.
This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest.
Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home!
Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

We loved our stay at Aliki’s beautiful accommodation. Thank you for sharing such a peaceful and beautiful space. It is so clean & fresh. Everything has been provided for comfort. We enjoyed unwinding with serene landscape views, the luxury of the soothing outdoor hot tub and the calming sound of nature was truly wonderful. Weekend Trip to The Jewel of Caniaba
We had such a great stay! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to switch off for the weekend. We loved being able to have a campfire, and it was a lovely surprise that there was plenty of free firewood available.
We went for a walk around the property, saw cows and even some kangaroos, which made the experience even more special. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home.
Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing camping getaway. We’d definitely love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Barachi by the Creek
We loved our glamping experience at Barachi! Such a beautiful private spot & so peaceful listening to the whip birds calling and the creek flowing. The little shack was perfect! It was rustically decorated with pretty fairy lights as well as practical solar lighting. Peter & Tania had really thought of everything & we were pleasantly surprised with the few extra touches and bits and pieces that were available. We are all about having a campfire and we were impressed with the outdoor fire pit area & enjoyed lighting up the pot belly stove. Peter was very helpful & made sure we were able to safely enter & exit the property, given recent rain and quite muddy conditions. Would love to return in a different season to enjoy swimming in the creek & relaxing in the outdoor bath.

A great rustic cabin, filled with character, bordered by a running creek in a private setting. Peter greeted me at his property and drove me down to the cabin, sharing some of the local history of the property and region
And a bag of home grown mandarins. I was provided with a tour of the facilities and left to my own devices - it’s well contained, private and quiet. The fire lit bath worked a treat though in winter, I’d recommend enjoying prior to the sun disappearing. There are candles and some solar powered lights to provide some atmospheric lighting. It can get cool in the evening, so take advantage of the hot water bottles provided. There is a bit of cell reception around the cabin if needed to send text messages but it’s otherwise a great place to switch off, read and chill out.

We stayed a night in the Valley View Pod, on a weekend exploring the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Southaven was perfect to come back to for a peaceful evening and a good nights rest.
The shared amenities were clean and tidy, and Elphie’s property is a great getaway in nature.

Weekend Trip to The Jewel of Caniaba
A 10/10 stay! We loved staying at Aliki’s cabin, it was quiet and peaceful with a comfortable bed, good shower, fantastic spa and well looked after and clean throughout. Aliki was the perfect host, helpful and let you relax and enjoy your stay.
Heaps of restaurants in Lismore and a lovely area all together. Definitely recommend the walk from the garden to the creek, it takes approximately 20 mins to get down.
We will 100% stay again!

Was just as peaceful and relaxing as expected.
Definitely recommend for anyone to be away from technology and gadgets and gizmos. This takes you back in time , expect ranch vibes and rustic furnishings. I actually didn’t expect it to be as big as it was and also came with a lot of the accessories you need. Plates , bowls , cutleries , mozzie spray cleaning stuff even things like fishing rods which was cute.
Loved the wooden touches with the tin, don’t know how it would be in the summer with not much ventilation but it was nice and cool so made it even better.
Enjoyed relaxing by the creek and watching the cows. The hammocks were very relaxing and our dog loved the area.
Couldn’t have a bath because the water had some mosquito larvae so didn’t end up using but that’s ok was still a cool touch to have so hopefully maybe next time we visit can try again. Thanks again for the hospitality will be back :)

Peter and Tania’s property is beautiful! The shack was in a prime position near the creek and surrounded by trees. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to others looking for a getaway in nature and digital detox.

We had such a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.
The location is beautiful, with the creek running nearby, it was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Weekend Trip to The Jewel of Caniaba
We loved our stay! We went on the trail walk down to the creek/waterfall and it was beautiful, they had arrows along the way you could follow. Even saw some cows come up to the property and sat with them to watch the incredible view! The fire was also all set up to go. Would definitely recommend leaving the spa until nighttime and turning off all of the lights so you can see the amazing stars in full glory. 10/10!
