A private setting on a working macadamia farm located in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Suitable for tents and small caravans. All-weather farm roads lead to the elevated campsite. One silo contains a shower, toilet, and hand basin with hot and cold water, as well as additional hot and cold taps outside the silo. A second silo, 6m in diameter, includes a table and chairs, providing shelter in all weather conditions. It also features a 200-litre drum set up as a wood-fired heater, with firewood supplied. A BBQ plate can be used over a metal drum, which are both provided A WATER FILTER IS INSTALLED TO PROVIDE SAFE DRINKING WATERThe bush silo is 6m in diameter. Table and chairs are provided plus bench seats around the inside of the silo. A 200 litre drum with a chimney is also in the silo, providing excellent warmth in winter. Firewood provided. There is also a drum for a campfire out of the silo (Fire restriction can apply, depending on the weather) A BBQ plate which is provided can be used over the drum. We have a separate smaller silo which has been made into a bathroom, containing a shower, toilet and hand basin. A gas instant hot water system is installed here. There are also hot and cold water taps outside the bathroom.

Starry night stay

My stay on the land was wonderful. Very peaceful at night and beautiful with a clear sky full of stars by the warmth of the fire. The silo bathroom is a very clever addition, don’t forget to test out the incredible acoustics and have a sing in there- it’s so good! Lance and Ina were so warm and welcoming. I’m grateful to have stayed in such a peaceful spot with privacy. Looking forward to my next visit 🌿

This is hands down one of the best hip camps I've stayed at, everything you need and just a stones throw away from some of the best surfing beaches in Australia, stayed for 12 nights and being the only camper there/allowed amongst the macadamia trees was the perfect place for me ,Thanyou for your kindness Lance & Ina.

What an awesome hipcamp. Sometimes you strike gold and this hipcamp is one of them. Very peaceful and beautiful setting in a working macadamia nut farm but with complete privacy. The clever and creative amenities and kitchen area make it even more enjoyable. Lance and Ina have done a fantastic job so thanks for that.

A very peaceful and serene place. Added convenience was the undercover and furnished silo, and an equally creative bathroom. I spent 2 nights, and all was good. Happy to recommend this very well cared for place of retreat.

We loved our stay at the bush silo, it was quiet, private, easily accessible for 2wd and the fire kept us nice and toasty. Lance and Ina were lovely and great hosts. Highly recommend this site as well as the Macadamias available for purchase 👌

Great little Spot which different options to park your van, Campertrailer or Caravan. We wanted to stay 2 nights but extended for one more night as we had such a good time exploring the surrounding area. The free firewood is great plus and the amenities are self-made and absolutely gorgeous. We've been there with a 4x4 and a 6foot Campertrailer. No Problems to get to the spot and around a "narrow" bend. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Definitely recommend to stay there for a couple of nights!

This is a quiet, private, relaxing site that is wonderfully located. We enjoyed three days at the site. The site is well away from the house on the property and has an isolated feel. We loved the shower and toilet facilities as well as the lush grass of the camp site. This is one of the best sites we have stayed at.

Exceptional Stay

This place is amazing! The hosts are incredibly helpful and the campsite is well laid out with a silo for eating under and another silo for the toilet/shower. We loved this place and having a campfire under the stars both nights we were there! Also the Macadamia nuts are a must try! We would highly recommend this place to everyone! Thanks again Lance and Ina!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bush Silo! Lance & Ina are wonderful hosts, they have created a very unique, creative, private & peaceful space for campers to stay on their beautiful property amongst the macadamia trees. Highly recommend, we will return one day!

Wonderful camp spot in an awesome location, quiet and secluded while only a short drive to many lively surrounding towns (Byron, Lismore, etc). Lance & Ina were very welcoming and friendly, and the camp site is private and peaceful on their beautiful Macadamia farm. The silo shower and toilet were great. Absolutely buy some of their Macadamias while you’re there - they are delicious. And check out the Eltham Hotel for good food and live music!

It was a wonderful experience! Hosts Ina and Lance were very helpful and provided a super detailed guidance how to reach our tent spot which was actually on top of the hill. We were impressed by pretty clean toilet with a hot (!) shower and a silo with table, chairs, BBQ pit, hammock and a drinking water tap even with filters. It was a wonderful stay, definitely recommended. P.S. there is a macadamia plantation there and we've bought the best raw macadamia I've ever tried from Lance.

Excellent location to spectactular hinterland country. Exclusive use of the site and facilities was a standout and we loved the chic-industrial theme of repurposed silos and metalwork. And falling to sleep to the sound of falling macadamias and birdlife was a great experience. Lance and Ina are a lovely couple and are very kind to be sharing their little piece of paradise.

We absolutely loved camping at the mill. The silos are a wonderful feature and provided just enough creature comfort. It was so peaceful in the orchard. Byron is a short trip away and the scenery in the area is breathtaking. Don't forget to try the macadamias for sale. Can't recommend it enough.
