Theres plenty of space for large groups and vehicles. As to maintain the private and secluded nature of this site, we have limited the space to 1 site only so you'll have the place to yourself! The bottom camp is small and level - good for single groups of 1-2 vehicles, the upper camp is on a bit of a slope and may require chocks for vans and the like, but great for larger groups. Both camps are adjacent to each other so you can take one, or take the lot! all included in the same booking and price
The Hunter River is a short 5min walk down the stone steps, where you and your dogs can fish, swim or enjoy a cold can. Note that the embankment adjacent to the river can become scoured after flood events, however our 2 year old can manage to get down to the river
The property has good access - less than 10mins from Hunter Expressway. 1hr40mins from Wahroonga, 40mins from Jesmond

Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley.
Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee.
For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way.
The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going.
Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them.
A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee.
We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too.
Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a bit of fishing, or just to switch off from the world for a while, this is the place to do it.

Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby.
If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Gaze over the farmlands, watch glorious sunrises, sunsets and checkout the stars!
Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast.
We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels.
You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice.
Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland.
It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre.
Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them!
Your own toilet is a necessity.

You will need to bring your own sheets, pillows, sleeping bag etc for added comfort. Sleeping close to the fire upstairs is recommended in the cooler months. Camping is optional with nice flat spots near the dam under she-oaks.

Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park.
The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts.
The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit!
The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit.
We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter.
This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site.
16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin.
The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife.
There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

Camp on Hunter was such a beautiful spot, so many sites to pick from and lots of ammenities. Being close to Branxton also means that you’re not far from any shops should you need anything.
The added bonus of low light pollution and a lot of native animals made for such a beautiful escape from the routine hustle and bustle.
Allan was super friendly and even chopped wood fresh for us to use for a fire.

Myself and my border collie visited for an evening over the weekend and had an amazing time; the campsite itself was beautiful, well maintained and you get plenty of space to yourself. It was lovely to meet Pam and we will definitely be back for more stays in the future ☺️

We loved our one night stay here. Margaret was very helpful and accommodating. We bought some firewood and the bag made rubbish tidy up and taking it with us easy. We’ll definitely stay here again.

This is second visit to this camping ground. Very well maintained, quiet and secluded . Great place to relax and take in the bird life and fauna. Highly recommended !

Perfect location for visiting so many of the Pokolbin and Lovedale wineries.Pokolbin village very close for supplies. Camp site was so very peaceful with plenty of space. Clydesdale horses in next paddock, a mob of inquisitive roos at our door, black swans and pelicans on the dam, hills in the distance all made the site, picture perfect. Natalie our hostess was very welcoming. We'll visit again.

One of the best!! Stunning location. Stunning facilities (toilets and a shower). Flat land, beautifully maintained. Walking distance to one of the best wineries in the Hunter Valley, and a great café. Natalie is an incredible host. We will be back.

Canyon View is a really special site, and a huge amount of work has gone into making it so good.
The hot tub and view is amazing, as are the shower and toilet facilities. We purchased wood too and it was great quality and gave us roaring fires.
We cant wait to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Quorrigami!
The private site was fantastic — plenty of space for our 17'10ft caravan, amazing views and so peaceful and quiet. It really felt like we had our own little piece of the countryside to relax and unwind.
The fire pool was an absolute highlight — such a unique setup and the perfect way to spend the evening relaxing, soaking in the warm pool and taking in the stars.
The hosts were amazing — incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful, and really made us feel at home.
Beautiful location, private site, amazing hosts and an awesome fire pool… what more could you ask for! We’ll definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honestly was expecting to have a few options for a spot to setup but there’s only really 1 flat spot the rest is on a bit of a slop but non the less it was very nice, private and scenic spot for our weekend, had a great time. Christian was really easy to talk to and it had a few trails to walk around even saw some fish jumping by the river too. Easy to find as well
To sum up I would definitely recommend to someone or a group, great price and a good area, town close by too for supplies if needed. 👍🏼
