Welcome to our beautiful riverside farm in the NSW south coast. We offer exclusive use of our campgrounds for a relaxing getaway and privacy. Surrounding is 2.5kms of the pristine Buckenbowra River with swimming holes to enjoy, 4WD routes, State forests and National Park for exploring. We are located 19km off the Pacific Highway from the historical town of Mogo (and Mogo Zoo) on an all weather gravel/dirt road with a concrete causeway crossing at the entrance of the property. Choose from a selection campsites, one that overlooks farmland with views to the river flats and mountains or a grassed riverbank. The large and open level grassy area is perfect for tents, caravans and RVs. A flushing toilet and a hot water shower are available. Phone reception is pretty reliable. There is a deep swimming hole close by, wonderful for a dip, snorkling, gold panning... At the edge of the swimming hole is mowed grass area for relaxing. Children are welcome, although to be supervised at all times. We also have a designated campfire area with firewood supplied on arrival and additional available if requested. Dogs welcome if controlled at all times and do not interfere with our livestock.

Lucky Stars Sanctuary is an animal sanctuary which was founded on the conviction that all animals deserve a life of respect and care. We welcome animals who are injured, neglected, or abandoned, providing them with not just a safe haven but a place to flourish. The main driveway is gravel, and undulated and hilly. Accessing Site 1 can be undertaken with a 2wd. If you are towing a trailer with a 2wd, I might be able to help. Please let me know if you might need me to give you a hand. We feed animals twice daily and you are welcome to join the team on feeding rounds (9:00 - 15:00). Animals will be in the vicinity of your camp site. In the sheep paddock, a soft fence will be provided. Please do not feed the animals. We have piles of fire wood and you will be directed to which piles you can use. You will be self sufficient; however, There is a washing machine, toilet and showers near the main house, please ask the host if you would like to use these. With sanctuary tours being delivered on the property, please keep all items with your tent, van or annex. Please do not allow any rubbish to be eaten by the animals. Luckystars is a sanctuary for animals and people alike, please be respectful and keen the noise down, particular after dark.

Descendants of the original landowners still live in nearby Heritage listed Braidwood. We have 104 acres of beautiful and varied terrain with fabulous rolling views. During your stay enjoy our amazing bird life, kangaroos, wallabies, possibly echidnas, rosenburgs, wombats and even deer. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time of your stay. This is the ideal location to just relax and enjoy nature at its finest. On a clear night the stars are amazing. We are only an hour from Canberra situated halfway between the picturesque towns of Braidwood and Bungendore, both within 20 mins away. Sorry, no pets.
